I thought about it until reading this review from Amazon: This kit is okay. But I doubt it would save you from a survival situation. It would help if say your car broke down in winter but not much else.I will go through the pros and cons of each item.

Knife: it came sharp but it’s pretty small overall it’s good
Fire starter: it didn’t work the most I could get out of it was 3 little sparks each time
Matches : nothing bad to say they worked
Whistle: not much to say it’s a whistle
Paracord: a little bit small but whatever
Wire: it works just fine for snares
Fishing line: it’s strong and great for tieing stuff
Last but not least the survival handbook: it’s pretty useful and if you already know the stuff it can be used as tinder

Not to bad of like a car kit for the glove box. But it doesn’t come with a good cutting device such as a saw or hatchet or fire starter. Which is almost necessary for shelter or fire in my opinion . So you might want to invest in those.

Thank you for the candid review, I was debating whether this would be worth getting for our emergency kits but I’ll just wait to find something better
