I know compared to regular price that this is a good deal, but is the eyeshadow really that much better than drugstore make-up? All you make-up divas, please don’t hate me for asking, I’m genuinely naive in knowing the difference in quality.

    • Jennifer

I have the same question. My daughter is really taking the time to do her makeup nice but I cringe at the price and wonder if it is worth it? She is not really into name brands so I doubt she will realize the “value” vs something from TjMaxx.

      • T

I have always used drugstore makeup but I promise that this stuff is so much better IMO. It is so much more pigmented and lasts forever. Definitely worth it.

    • Amanda

Yes I have this palette and the colors are SOOOO pigmented and easy to blend. Look up some makeup looks on YouTube using this palette and get some ideas as to what looks you can do with it

      • Jennifer

Thanks Amanda, Dd is into the blending videos so maybe she will appreciate it. So hard for gifts for 17yr olds.

    • Jen

That’s not a silly question at all. I️ always doubted as well. However, I️ love the colors in the higher end shadows… they’re prettier, easier to apply and blend. I️ love L’Oréal for mascara and lip product, but love my higher end shadow and eyeliners.

    • Swirlypop

Yes, big difference imo. Much more pigmented!

    • ciara

UD is great but this specific palettes pigmentation is weak.

    • Laura

Yes, it is. Ive used drugstore makeup all my life, but last Christmas i was able to pick up the smoky palette for about $13 so I decided to try it. I got one for myself and one for my then 15 year old stepdaughter. I tried mine right away, and was immediately impressed with the qualitu. The packaging is beautiful, and the colors are all very highly pigmented, so you only need a tiny amount. They also feel really smooth and blend well. My stepdaughter cried because she was so surprised to open this! I bought the origional Naked palette for myself not long afterwards, and hope to buy naked 2 and 3. I habe a couple favorite colors that I use pretty much every day, and after a years worth of use they barely look like they’ve been touched! One palette would last me YEARS. I’d even say that (*gasp*) these are probably worth full price.

    • Allison

      Yes, huge difference in quality.

  6. Rachel

Is it a good idea to give makeup to a teacher? Thinking of getting the Sephora deal and giving a set to my son’s 2nd grade teacher. She does wear makeup.

    • 50shadesoflipstick

Ann…I wouldn’t. Makeup is a very personal thing to begin with and besides, people may have allergies/sensitivities or prefer vegan/cruelty-free products so there’s a good chance that something you spend a lot of $ on may not even be useful to the person you’re giving the gift to. Gift cards are a better idea.

      • Ann

        Thanks for your input.

        • Allison

Urban Decay is cruelty free. I think it’s a great gift but I love makeup.

          • 50shadesoflipstick

I meant in general, not UD specifically.

    • Denise

I think it’s a great idea! It’s high quality makeup. The colors are neutral, not bright. This would be a luxury gift for a teacher. My sisters were teachers and they would have loved this, and they’re not really into makeup. You can always include a gift receipt.

  18. Jess

Someone please help?!? How do I get free shipping on this from Sephora? I need to order 2!

  19. Nicole Farley

I have Old Navy bucks and $25 Shutterfly to trade. Nfarley13@cox.net. Please 🙂

  20. Mary

Sephora only does free shipping if you spend 50.00 which makes it really not worth it.

  21. Kelly

Thanks! I had Macys money to spend and plenti points … free gift for myself!

  22. amy

I have 2 $25 a butterfly codes. If anybody wants to trade for macys money
