Great for those who need lots of teacher gifts!

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

      Such a great idea Danielle!

  2. Ktenny

Oh wow….better look at the reviews!!! Not good 🙁

    • Sandy

Thanks for the post. Was considering ordering these, but decided not to after reading the reviews.

  3. Helen

These are not highly rated. Did amazon pay for this post???

    • Crystalsnow

Amazon doesn’t,usually the seller pays for someone to post their deals. I’ve been contacted several times but ppl asking to post deals on their products. It’s mostly junk which gets good reviews bc ppl get them for free to review. Anyways, I can usually pick out Collins posts from these sellers bc the name brands are not usually what you seek on your own. Im not a fan of these posts. But maybe she gets a good amount of $$ so that’s why she keeps posting them.

      • amanda

I’ve noticed these amazon marketed posts in Hip2Save too and avoided them. But afterall, Hip2Save is a business…. i loathe amazon items that have high reviews just because people have gotten free product.

        • Love H2S

I was wondering why there are so many Amazon post lately. Many stores that used to be covered are not anymore. Good to know. Thanks for sharing!

          • Mourrene

How can you tell it’s an Amazon sponsored post? I shop at Amazon a lot so I don’t mind seeing posts for the site. If I see something I don’t want or need, I just ignore it. I don’t expect all H2S posts to be applicable to me. I don’t really understand the complaints about what is posted by Collin and her team on their website.

            • Monika

It’s not sold by Amazon. It involves a code … how did she get a code that isn’t advertised? It really isn’t that hard to tell. I don’t really look at any of her Amazon post because of it.

            • Swirlypop

Agree, i like amazon posts. I don’t care where the code comes from. If it saves me money, it’s something I need & the website makes money off of it I consider that a win, win!!!

            • Holls

They kept posting the grill cover awhile back and I’m so glad they did. I could tell it was a sponsored link but I needed one and I’m glad got it for the sale price they listed. I have yet to find a grill cover that last more than a few years so I was willing to try a 12 dollar one.

          • hmmmmm

Its the sites that make the website money that are posted more frequently. If u remember last yr it was the website Hollar that i was supposed to believe (accd to h2s) i couldnt live without. Hollar must not be paying enuff $$ cuz i dont even see posts anymore.

            • Elvira

That’s a good point! And so many complaints about that company/shipping but they kept posting.

            • Amy

Did people have bad luck with Hollar? I️ placed several orders with them and they were all correct and came in a timely manner. I️ even put in the wrong State on the drop down box for my shipping address once and called them and they immediately sent out an identical order to the correct address with no hassle. I’ve also bought 3 of the diffusers posted on here and they’re all still going strong. And I️ purchased these succulents when this deal was posted several months ago and aside from having several that were the same, I️ was thrilled. They all were very healthy and unbroken. (And yes, now as I’m writing this I️ realize how much money I️ spend through this site 😂)

          • Maori

I’ve also noticed a lot of posts for products sold on Amazon and it makes me think less of hip 2 save for sure. It’s always some kind of essential oil diffuser, fabric steamer, or other Chinese made unknown brand small electric with a special code unique to hip 2 save. They must be getting paid big bucks to post these. But I don’t want to follow a blog to feel “sold to.”

      • Laura Jean

It’s highly doubtful that Collin and her team knowingly post deals for inferior products. I’ve been following this site for 5+ years and believe that she and her team research deals before they post them. The deals are posted and it’s up to us to determine if they make good sense for us or not. I look at reviews and make my decision from there. It’s wonderful that this site has saves me so much money and does all the laborious background work, complete with deal codes, purchase scenarios, etc. It’s a business, for sure, but it’s ethical and trustworthy. Thanks Hip2Save!!!!!

        • Mourrene

I agree. Nobody can make me buy anything that’s posted on their website that I don’t want. Just like the instapot thing. There have been so many posts on H2S for that thing and I thought nothing about it because if it’s not something I want. I don’t worry about it. Same thing with Hollar. There were a bunch of posts but not one time did I order because I have a mind of my own and chose not to order. You still have to do your own personal due diligence on any item posted on any website. And if Collin is being paid to post certain things, it’s no different from the commercials or ads on tv. She’s attesting to the price and not necessarily the quality. 3.5 May be decent to one person whereas someone else might think anything less than 4 is subpar. We’re all different and have different expectations. Its impossible for one site to effectively cater to everyone. No need to bash Collin and her team for running her site the way she wants.

      • irene

Oh no, I fell for one of those last week! The H2S comments with raving reviews are probably from the seller, too! I’m so gullible. :/

      • Rachel

I wish that there was more clear disclosure on “sponsored” posts. I have noticed this too and have less faith in the Hip2save deals than I used to. It’s too bad!!

  4. Elizabeth M.

Oh no I ordered. Didn’t read the reviews. Cancelling and will wait for my garden center in the spring.

  5. Sandra

I purchased these for my nieces baby shower and they turned out great!! I would order again if I need them.

  6. Melissa

Perfect for office gifts. I saw a lot of positive reviews too so figured I’d take a chance and call Amazon if any issue 🙂 Thanks hip2save!

  7. Tricia

Since when is 3.7 stars “highly rated”?

    • Cassandra (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Tricia! Thanks for bringing that to our attention. I just updated the post.

  8. Kelsey

I️ bought these last time they were on sale and they have turned out awesome. They are Very nicely packaged. They are smaller but that’s what’s expected for the cost. I️ have had to give some away and move them to different pots twice already because now they are huge. Well worth the 27.00. They also are nice to start growing now and give as teacher gifts or Mother’s Day gifts. I️ forgot to mention it’s impossible for me to keep any type of plant alive but these have defied all odds. 🙂

    • Cassandra (Hip2Save Sidekick)

So glad to hear these plants worked out well for you, Kelsey! Thanks so much for the feedback!

  9. Brenda

For those of you who are concerned ed, I purchased these over the summer for my sister’s baby shower and they were AWESOME.

    • Cassandra (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks so much for sharing your experience, Brenda!

Im viewing this from Android OS and I just got a scam pop up Amazon gift card. I think Hip2Save is being hacked… Third time I’ve received a scam pop up while viewing the site whether by Mobile or desktop this week

    • Jennifer

I thought it was just me! This has happened multiple times over the past week (on my iPhone) and is incredibly frustrating!

      • Suz

Ditto! Thanks for mentioning this….I didnt put the connection together that the pop up potentionally came from HS

        • Jean

Me too!! Happened thrice to me..

    • Wren

The scam pop-up gift card has happened to me also but it was probably 2-ish weeks ago….

    • Cassandra (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I am so sorry you’re having issues with popup ads. Can you please email collin@hip2save.com a screenshot of what the popup looks like, and also what would be really helpful is the link location of the ad – that way we can get it blocked. Thanks for your help!

    • Ann

So glad to see it was not just me, I also got scam pop up when opening hip2save links. Really miss the old hip2save website!!!

  11. Pauline

Same issue here with pop up!
And this is not the first time. Ugh!

  12. Jeff

I emailed the site and they say they are working hard to get the website redirect to spam issue fixed.

  13. Melanie

    Same here. Pop up spam.😕

    • Cassandra (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Melanie! I am so sorry you’re having issues with popup ads. Can you please email collin@hip2save.com a screenshot of what the popup looks like, and also what would be really helpful is the link location of the ad – so we can get it blocked. Thanks for your help!

  14. Elsie

Same here with all the scammy pop ups. Makes me reluctant to click on Hip links. And I bought these sedums and they’re not worth it. Go to your local garden center.

  15. Christina

I had the pop up spam repeatedly happen when I visit h2s. Initially, I thought it was only me, but I see that it is happening to others too.

  16. beaver

I just purchased and received a pack of 5 succulants from this seller. I gave them a 1 star. Cactus was shriveled up. The other 4 succulents were miniscule and one lost all it’s petals when I picked it up. Please, please don’t waste your money like I did!

    • Mimi

Thanks for posting honest feedback!! Knew this post seemed bogus.

    • Cassandra (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh Darn! So sorry you had a bad experience with these succulents. We appreciate the honest feedback though.

  17. msgray

I purchased these the last time they were posted. Only one arrived dead. All of the rest are alive and well from the summertime. Most of them are gigantic, only one or two on the small side.

    • Cassandra (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

  18. Sandy

Actually this item ships from and sold by amazon. Not a third party company.

    • Trisha

Not true, seller is not Amazon. Seller: Shop Succulents
You can tell by the blue link above the product title. Yes, it is shipped from Amazon – but Amazon is not the seller.
If you look at the link of the dog food sample in another H2S post, above the title of the product, the seller is listed in blue as Amazon.

      • Nancy

This item is sold and shipped by Amazon. Shop Succulents printed in blue is the brand name. If you like an item in a particular brand you can click on the the blue brand name and see other items carried on Amazon in that same brand line. The dog food sample box is put together and promoted by Amazon. It is not just one brand, it usually contains multiple brands to promote items that are sold on Amazon.

  19. Susan H

Happened a couple times to me last week too and once before awhile ago. Hopefully they see this and checks into it.

  20. Mimi

Careful with the “highly rated” plugs on mediocre products H2S. 3.7 stars out of 5? Hmmmm…

    • Cassandra (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Mimi! Thanks for the heads up. I’m updating the post now. 🙂

  21. Amy

This would be perfect to give to my daughter to make a fairy garden

  22. Lindsay

I ordered these last time the deal was posted in the spring and almost all of mine are still thriving!

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Wow! You have a nice green thumb!

  23. Mommyof5

Looking for 20% off target code I’ll trade a $5 Amazon for it. Mommycoupon05 at gmail.com

  24. KellZoll

Other deal sites also have problems with pop-ups and spam. Even when I use AdBlocker for Chrome I still get some pop-ups on deal sites, store sites, coupon sites. Check your settings and block whatever you can. Coupon Cabin is one site that asks you to deactivate your ad blocker. It’s part of the price you pay to get their deals so it’s up to each individual whether you want to do that or not. I’m sure H2S’s IT (information technology) budget is pretty small so we need to keep our expectations realistic.

  25. Holly

Anyone else having trouble with getting free shipping? It says it qualifies for free shipping, but when I check out my only options to choose from are 1 or 2 day shipping.

    • frankin

Yes I did too so I opted for another free 30 day amazon prime trial so I could get the
      free shipping.

      • Holly

Thank you for your reply! Another free 30 days of Prime at Christmas sounds good to me!

  26. AOhio

These look cute, but I tend to kill succulents and any indoor plants/flowers, yes, I know, it’s almost impossible to do, but somehow I do it!

    • Nancy

It is very easy to over water. They don’t need much. They also need plenty of sunlight.

      • Nancy

Also use a good potting soil specifically for cactus and succulents.

  27. Mindy

I just ordered mine. For some reasons it charged me shipping fee, so I did online chat and they fixed it. Can’t wait to get them, time to check out Goodwill for tea cups!

  28. Nancy

I ordered the succulents last time the were posted. They were packed well for shipping. Yes, they are small, but after re-potting into cute planters and with proper care they grew to a good size. I was very pleased with them. This is a good price and I would recommend them. If there is any problem, Amazon customer service will take care of it.

    • Mindy

I agree, they were quick to resolve any issues I had in the past. Best customer service!

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for letting us know, Nancy!

  29. Amie

    Lovely

  30. Carman

I ordered these last year. They were precious for teacher gifts. None of mine arrived dead.

  31. Christine

Just wanted to update on my order. It arrived today, beautifully packed and in perfect health!! So nice to see some new plant life in winter 🙂

  32. Mindy

Got mine shipment today! They were well pack, one had a couple leave broken and the rest were well intact. Love it!
