How does the sound compare to a big ole box fan?
That’s what I want to know! I have to have my box fan to sleep every night; even when it’s -15 degrees outside.
Can be just as loud as a box fan. There are so many sound/noise options and a volume control. We have two for different rooms and often take one when traveling. We’ve had them for several years!
I used to not be able to sleep w/out a box fan on & this replaces the noise perfectly. There’s a ton of different sounds to pick from, and the volume can go very quiet to very loud.

I have had one of these for years, and I absolutely love it! (I’m a person who’s always needed to sleep with a fan on. Now, I still have my fan–but I use this as well.) I also take this me whenever I travel. I bought one for my mom this summer, and she loves it, too. Besides using it for sleeping, I’ve used it to block the sound of fireworks for a very nervous dog! Can’t say enough good things about it.
Im not sure how much he paid – but my boyfriend got me one of these last christmas. I absolutely LOVE IT. I can’t sleep without it. I was running a box fan in the winter w/ it pointed away from me just for the sound to sleep. This is so so so perfect. It has a TON of volume settings and different noises to pick from. Also it remembers your noise selection and volume when you turn it off and back on, even if it’s unplugged. I used it every night and also travel with it. It can get very loud (if you want it to) which can be great. It can be used for more than sleeping – if you have dogs who are nervous at new noises – it can work for that, too! Such as a new place, moved, on vacation, thunder, fireworks. When we took our dogs on vacation, we had to leave them in their crates in the rental for a few hours. We turned the sound machine up loud so they wouldnt hear any sounds from the unfamiliar neighborhood.
