DIY fun snacks for christmas

Many schools don’t allow homemade goodies, so adding some fun details and embellishments to packaged snacks is a festive option! Make sure to check the Dollar Tree for many of these simple craft supplies or adapt these ideas to things you may already have on hand.

Here’s how to easily transform ordinary packaged snacks into creative holiday treats your kids will LOVE! 😍 🎄


1.) Snowmen String Cheese

Supplies Needed: 

Directions: Cut a shape in the form of a hat with black paper and glue it to top of the cheese stick. Add face details with Sharpie markers. Tie a piece of ribbon as a “scarf”, and add a few dots of marker as “buttons”.

2.) Gingerbread Decorated Oatmeal Creme Pies

Supplies Needed:

Directions: Draw “frosting” details around the outside packaging of the cookie using puffy paint. Glue eye and cheek details and add a smile using puffy paint. Shape a piece of the pipe cleaner into a small ribbon and glue to the top of the cookie. Let dry.

3.) Santa Belt Fruit Cups

Supplies Needed: 

Directions: Cut 1/2 inch wide strips of black paper to fit individual cups. Glue paper across the middle of each cup. Draw a square “buckle” detail using puffy paint. Let dry.

4.) Reindeer Pudding Cups

Supplies Needed: 

Directions: Tape a pipe cleaner across the top of the cup, and form each end into a zigzag shape. Glue red nose to the bottom of the cup, and eyes to the top of the side.

Oh my goodness these snacks were FUN and EASY to put together!

My kids are excited to share some with their friends. A platter of these would make some creative party favors at a holiday party. SO CUTE!
