Can someone help me figure out the sizing? If my 5 year old wears an 11 is it really an 11? I’m thrown off by the sizes starting at 1.

Yes, these shoes do not come in an 11. There is no trick sizing, big kids shoes usually start around a 13 or 1.
I have these shoes in size 11 for my 5 year old.
My daughter is almost 8 and wears a size 12-12.5 shoe. The listing says it’s for grade school sizes. Would a 13 for this particular shoe be a good fit or is the “grade school” style for a larger size 13 for like an older kid. I’m confused..
If you do a search for “New Balance shoe size chart” you can find the guide and it will show how many inches the sizes fit

If you’re in the market for little girls shoes check out Amazon, I ordered 4 pairs of Under Armour shoes for my daughter all for under $20 each. Play with the sizes, different colors and sizes have different prices. I ordered 4 different sizes. One pair was as low as $12!!

Pretty excited I bought a pair last year, for my daughter, she has since grown out of them and I have been wearing them. So its time to buy a new pair for myself! A size 6 in girls will fit perfectly!
