We tried H&O just before Christmas, and we were beyond disappointed. They were supposed to come in time for Thanksgiving— nope! Delayed. I had to scramble at the last minute on Thanksgiving Eve to get wine for my turkey day guests. Still determined to give them a shot, I invited some friends over for a wine tasting a week later. My friends aren’t wine snobs or anything like that, but they were literally making faces of disgust trying each! I know wine preferences vary from person to person, but we all unanimously agreed each one was awful. So disappointing! Maybe they sent the good ones out to customers before Thanksgiving, and we got stuck with these or I don’t know what— but I certainly hope my bad experience was an outlier and everyone else has great experiences! I contacted them to complain, and it took days for them to get back to me (meanwhile they kept sending me stock emails saying “I’m your wine concierge, let me know if you have any problems”— and I’m like yeah I already did and nobody has responded!). Thankfully when they finally did, they refunded my purchase. I definitely won’t be trying them again though. Thinking of trying out Bright Cellars for my Christmas party this year instead.

I want to give this as a gift, but does someone have to be at the door to sign for the wine? We ordered from another company last year and they wouldn’t leave it at the door without a signature. I guess because it’s alcohol.
The law varies by state but I think most states require an adult signature. If you canāt be home, you could have it shipped to a friend or neighbor who is home, or maybe have it sent to work.
