In elementary school, my son didn’t like reading until the class read the first book to this series. He finished the series on his own and now LOVES reading. When I asked what he wanted for Christmas, he said just a book set. So, I would defiantly recommend this!
How old was your son when he enjoyed this set? Mine is in 1st grade and is just now REALLY enjoying reading.
These are at a really high Lexile level for reading, more for 5th grade. So for a first grader it would be extremely difficult for him to read on his own. But the stories are very engaging and interesting and you could read them together! I’m just saying this as a current fifth grade teacher….I used this book as a novel study a few years back when I worked as a reading support teacher.
