Great deal! But, keep in mind that Dollar Tree also sells nasal spray that I feel is comparable to Afrin.

Does anybody know if this is steroid free or not?

    • Megan Grandemange

I’m not sure if the issue is that it contains steroids or not, but it’s highly addictive stuff for your nose and shouldn’t be used for more than like 3 days at a time according to hubby’s ENT doctor who prescribed it post surgery. Prolonged use can make your mucus membranes in your nose literally dependent on it, so caution is needed when using it and follow the directions exactly.

I experienced this first hand, literally was dependent on this to breathe. Worst experience of my life, always needed a bottle in my pockets, by my bed, etc. if you use it, stick to the directions. Thankfully was able to kick this stuff by diluting it with water and using nasacort instead. Now I can breathe on my own without my nose clogging up.

Same thing with my boyfriend. He was so dependent on it. It was a very hard habit for him to break. Now it’s banned in the house lol.

I came here to post this. Works great but only use it as directed!!! My ENT said the exact same thing!

Add me to the “addicted” group. Yes, it’s great for colds, and I still will use it if I’m really sick, but it took me a very long time to get off of this stuff for good. I mean, like years.

Having been hooked on it, I only spray one side every 12 hours, alternating sides.
