I can attest that ING is A+++++! As couponers, I think we are very into value as well as good customer service. I’ve only needed to call them 2-3 times in the 5+ years I’ve had an account with them, and they’re based out of Minnesota (at least every time I called) and they’re VERY helpful and friendly, and aren’t rushing you or reading off a screen. Additionally, their online banking is VERY user-friendly and easy to do!
I’ve had an ING savings and checking account for several years and really love it. I am waiting to see if the new ownership will change anything, but so far, so good. It’s also really easy to open multiple savings accounts if you want to have an account be dedicated to one specific area of savings – such as an emergency fund, travel savings, savings toward a big purchase, etc. And all of these accounts are automatically linked with one another so you can easily move money around between them as you need it. I find this feature great for its organizational possibilities.
I’ve had an account for 5 years and I really like ING. They don’t charge huge overdraft fees. They just charge interest and that only amounts to pennies. I think the merger with Capital One will only be better. Here is what they said in an email-
