These are two of the top things on my list to get accomplished this week. Crystal over at Biblical Womenhood has a great challenge today, Spring Cleaning for Normal People! Basically a challenge to get us all motivated to de-clutter, clean, and organize our homes.

If you noticed above, I wrote I will be working on organizing my kitchen and meal planning this week, not just today. I love completing challenges without feeling overwhelmed and stressed, and well, giving yourself time to do different projects is in my opinion the best way to NOT feel that way. Whenever I put together a to do list that is a mile long, it almost never gets finished or even close to complete. That’s why Ive realized the slower the better and the more efficient I become. PLUS when you devote more energy to each task you complete… that shows!

So now onto my tasks:

Organizing my Kitchen– I have a stockpile of canned goods and other items that are overflowing into different parts of my kitchen, and well, making it feel very cluttered and disorganized. So today I have been going through my stockpile, checking expiration dates, organizing into different categories and being creative in terms of finding storage for all my stock! I will keep you posted on my progress and take pictures throughout the week, so you can actually see what I’ve accomplished and hold me accountable to it!

Meal Planning– As Ive said before I have never been the best meal planner and that is one area I would like to try and work on, BIG TIME! This week I will be preparing a few new recipes to get more of an idea of the types of meals that I would like to prepare on a weekly basis. To save money, I will be trying to plan for 2 vegetarian meals a week. I also will be focusing on baking up muffins, pancakes and other items to put in the freezer. As we try out new recipes I will post pictures, let you know how they taste and what my kids thought!:) My goal is, by next Monday to have a meal plan for the whole week. I hope I can do it!

Do you have any goals that you want to get accomplished?!?
Or maybe some items on your to do list that need to be crossed off?!?
Please let me know in the comment section below and we’ll hold you to it!

I really need to go through all my kids toys. We have soooo many from Christmas and 50% of them are not even played with. I am going to have a garage sale when the weather warms up to get rid of some of this “stuff” that we just dont need. Im hoping to make a little bit of money too.

Thanks for giving me some motivation!
