After I ordered, it said I had already ordered. I have not ever ordered anything from this place. I have never even heard of them. Maybe the free paint is all gone??!

Fran – How long did it take to get an email confirmation? I’m not sure if mine went through…I think the site might have crashed before it went thru.

ok so how do you order? I selected my color and nothing happens? What do I need to click on or has the website crashed?

after you pick your color…after a wait… a larger sample picture will appear on the right side and your order instructions are below. Have patience it is a long wait

I would say maybe a few minutes. If you can’t get it through the site, you can also call for your paint at 1800GLIDDEN. The promotion runs until 7/2/09…I just don’t know, if they get hit with too many orders, they might pull the promotion. Try calling…you might be on hold for a while, so put it on speaker phone, and you can do something else, while you are waiting for someone to answer…then again, you might get through right away. Good luck:)

The site is SUPER slow but if you let it take it’s time (I just let it run in the background) I think it will work. I just got mine.
my order has been transmitting for like 8-10 minutes- anyone else’s take this long?
Mine has been over 15 minutes…I’m letting it just run this time in hopes that it goes through. No email from them yet.

Minimize that page and try to do it again, maybe something is just hung up, but don’t close it…that’s seems like a long time…mine might have been more that a few, but not 15 mins. Why not try to call them?
Last night I tried the site..and it took a good 5 minutes just to bring up the “come back tomorrow for free paint”.
So no wonder it’s taking so long now with a bunch of people all trying to get on at the same time!

I just called 1800-Glidden and placed my order. It was much easier that way.

Okay i just got the confirmation email before it finished “transmitting”.
So check your email!
waiting for everything to load is kinda like watching PAINT DRY…so I guess we will be ready when the paint comes. LOL
Fran, I took your advice and called. Attempt #3 at calling got through. Apparently, the whole site crashed and they can’t even input the info via phone. The CS agent is just writing down people’s order and said they will process it later!
I guess I’ll see if I get an email sometime today. Thanks for your help!!

Just a quick question for you. Who do you use for emails? I have Microsoft Outlook, and I don’t have a refresh button…I just leave it open in my task bar, along with Hip, and today, Glidden, and I just click from my task bar and go back and forth to view what’s happening on each site.
I have yahoo but use Firefox which has a refresh button in the tool bar (is that what you’re asking?). Sometimes I have to refresh the page in order to see new emails or comments…

I was able to get a sample ordered for myself! It did take a few attempts to get the page to load; firefox was more successful than IE.
Just called at 11:45 to 1-800-GLIDDEN, the site has crashed- but they will take your order. Nice. I ordered crisp linen white- it’s a can’t fail in case you can’t even look at the colors.
The link doesn’t work, but I called 1-800-GLIDDEN, Option #1, and requested it that way, it worked great.
The site took along time to load but I got my sample. Thanks, Hip2Save.
how much area can you paint with a quart?
I called the number, pressed 1, got a message saying something about trying again later, so I tried again right away and got through!! I will be getting my free paint in a few weeks! YAY!!

When the site calms down, go back on it. When I was on at midnight (I didn’t know if they would be starting then), I clicked on “paint calculator”…you might get your answer there. HTH.
Yea! I love that I am getting free paint! It took forever to load the page–it said “done” but the page was blank, so I had to keep trying it over and over. Once the page came up it took no time at all to get through the process.

It says ‘while supplies last’ so it’s very possible this offer could end before they’d intended it to. 🙂 Something to keep in mind!

I ordered one through the web but my email confirmation said the wrong color, so all I did was call the service number and the lady wrote down the right color and my paint should be here in a few weeks. I am so excited. And super nice customer service.
