Angela from The Coupon Project emailed about a great clearance find she scored at Walgreens! She found the 500ml bottle of Listerine Vanilla mint on clearance for just $1.09, originally $4.49! Plus, if you purchase 3 of these you’ll get a $6 Register Reward!

Deal Scenario:
Buy 3 for a total of $3.27
Use 3 .50 coupons from the 4/26RP or 6/14SS or 8/2SS
Pay $1.77
Get back a $6 Register Reward
Final cost FREE + $4.23 in overage!

**If these aren’t marked as low in your store, then make sure to price check them!

**I’ve also heard from a couple readers now that select Reach Ultra toothbrushes are on clearance for just $1.09. Buy 3 and combine with the $3/3 coupon from the 8/2SS. Pay just .27 after the coupon and get back a $6 Register Reward. Pretty sweet, huh?

On another note, one of my readers Cindy emailed to let me know that the Zone deal I posted about previously was even better then she expected. The Zone bars are actually on a Mega-Saver sale all month long priced at just $3/3, not 2/$3 like I had posted! Plus, you can combine this deal with the .50 coupon from the Back-2-School coupon booklet and the .75/3 coupon from the 6/14SS.

Deal Scenario:
Buy 6 Zone Bars for $6 total
Use one .50 Walgreens Back-2-School coupon
(will deduct $3)
Then use 2 .75/3 coupons from the 6/14SS
Final cost ONLY .25 per bar!
**This is a great time to stock up!

One more deal–Erin left a comment about scoring a sweet deal on the Kraft Easy Mac Cups. They’re on sale for $1 each. Plus, you can combine the $1/4 Walgreens back-2-School coupon with 2 $1/2 coupons from here (click on “Get Special Savings” and your coupon will immediately print). Final cost ONLY $1 total, just .25 per cup!

Ok, one more update: Vicky another reader emailed to let me know that the V8Fusion is on sale 2/$5 this week–which is about .50 cheaper then Walmart’s price. Buy 1 Juice and use the $1 coupon from here. Final cost only $1.50! Not too bad, especially if you like this juice!

    Thanks Indy!!!

Thanks Hip2save too!!! Im hoping to score on the Listerine!

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hip2Save, I sure *hope* the Vanilla is part of the deal…it has been in the past. However, with it being on clearance, I really don’t know.

If one of your readers does it and gets the $6 RR, I’ll be interested to know that! Thanks for sharing.

My Walgreen’s had some Reach dental floss on sale for 45 cents each. I bought 6 and used three of the buy 2 get $3 off coupons! A great money maker!! With the Vanilla Mint if it is $1.09 a bottle, then buy 3 and use the $5 off 3 coupon for a money maker!

Today I bought the 3 for $9 listerine/reach deal, 6 Reach dental flosses for 45 cents each. After my coupons my total was a around $6.50. I had a gift card from a previous return and my OOP was 79 cents! Woo Hoo! Plus I received $6 in RR back!

    Girls,
Beware!!!! I filled in my info for the free candle and when I submitted, it took me to another site. You don’t want to fill that out. I did one of those once by adding a vowel on the end of my name so I could track it. I am still getting things from it some 8 maybe 10 years later.

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    P.S.
By things, I mean solicitations NOT FREEBIES.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

FYI, Reach $6rr didn’t print for me today on the clearance toothbrushes. 🙁

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The RR printed for me today on the Vanilla Mint Listerine. I bought 2 bottles of the 500 mL Listerine and 1 floss, used $.50 coupon on the Listerine and the $6 RR printed.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Where did you guys find the Walgreens back to school coupons? I looked everywhere and couldn’t find them in my store.

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I found them on the flier rack right when you walk in the door.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Walgreens Back to School flyer says that the coupons are Manufacture coupons and won’t let me use other coupons with it. Has this happened to anyone else?

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Is anyone else having problems using Register Rewards from one deal to pay for a new transaction in which RR should print? I tried to roll my Reach RR today into the Jergen’s and it wouldn’t “print”. According to the store, it was because “I used coupons”. I know this is wrong but I’m wondering if anyone is running into this.

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The $6 reward didn’t print for me on the clearanced toothbrushes. I tried the vanilla listerine next and it didn’t print for them either. The cashier said it was because they are not priced at 3/$9 like the ad says. I still got good deals.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Frugal Beagle-I had the same problem at my Walgreens. They’ve become such a pain in the rear with all their new rules and policies I don’t go there anymore-only if its something I NEED for free or close, but will never buy items that are on sale with Register Rewards because now they’ll only let us pay with one register reward per transaction and they won’t print if you use a coupon on that item either.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know about how Walgreens deals with returns when the item being returned is more than the amount you paid in actual cash? I used a bunch of coupons and register rewards and my Out of Pocket was $3.00, but I realized that the listerine I purchased was not the correct one for the listerine deal. I want to return it, but don’t know how they deal with this????? HELP

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Newbee question. Can I pay for an item with a RR and still get a RR back on that item?

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anon–I just got back from Walgs and the cashier pointed out to the mgr that the pamphlet does say manufacture coupons. He did it anyway, and still thinks they are Walgs coupons. I think I may contact corp for clarification.

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks Hip2Save for the great post on the Zone bars…love your website.

I just went to Walgreens. The zone bars manufacture coupon states 1 per transaction. The manager even tried to limit how many I could buy with the Walgreens coupon. Glad it was not my local Walgreens. So I could only use one coupon. I wanted to buy more coupons on ebay, but you can only us one per transaction. So I ended up buying 42 bars at .50 each. Still a good deal, but not as good as I planned it to be.

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did this deal today with (2)clearance Reach toothbrushes, $1.09 each and 1 $3 Listerine. Total $5.18. Used $5/3 from 8/2SS and paid .18 plus tax. Received $6 RR.

    Thanks for the tip.

Also, for anonymous who wrote about combining the Wags q (from the back to school booklet) and man q. I tried this @ two diff Wags. Worked @ 1 Wags and @ the other Wags the Wags q beeped. I alway use the Wag qs last.

Obviously, I’ll be doing my deals @ the store that will accept both man q and wag q.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Zone Perfect bars were 2/$3 so be sure to check… ANd the coupon didn’t scan so she had to do something different.. Just FYI keep an eye on the price as she goes..
