Would you like to give feedback on shoes and apparel by testing out FREE products?

I’m assuming the answer would be yes! Well, New balance is looking for product testers to apply to be part of their New Balance Wear Test program! They have openings available for adults and kids. Please keep in mind that the application is long and detailed, so make sure to give yourself enough time to complete it.

This looks like fun. I just applied and hope I get in.

By reading the specifics it looks like you don’t get to keep the shoes that you test. Nothing wrong with that, of course, just thought to mention it in case people might think they were getting a free pair of shoes as a participant.

This is kind of a random question, so I apologize in advance…

Do you know of any good back-to-school shoe sales? I have bought from Walmart/Target in the past but their cheapy brands always fall apart after a few months and I want to buy my kids a better quality and/or namebrand this time, but ideally under $20.

I’m looking for a basic tennis shoe – my girl wears sz 4, my boy wears (kid) sz 11. Thoughts?

I am as frugal as they come but I don’t buy cheap shoes. I usually end up at Famous Footwear. You will pay more but to me it’s worth it in the end.

I have had good luck at K Mart with v. inexpensive shoes. They also have Thera shoes which my orthopaedic surgeon recommended, they are like Sketchers at a fraction of the price.

I find some good name brand shoes for my kiddos at Ross.. just got a pair of etnies and cartes shoes for $35.. good brands nice price!

Anonymous, check out Hip2Save’s blog on whitestrips.

It’s not printable, but I’ve been able to find these at my Target. Inside the box is a $7 off coupon, so even if you don’t have a coupon to buy the initial box, you will still only spend $4.99 plus tax. The next box is paid for by the first box’s $7 coupon. And so on and so on!

I heard of one woman opening all the boxes and using the coupons right there at the register, but I haven’t had the courage to do that!
