Romy emailed to let me know about a great way to combine the Reach toothbrush deal with the Listerine deal to come out ahead! Check out this deal scenario:

Buy 2 Listerine Smart Rinse or Agent Cool Blue (16.9 oz)=$8
Buy 2 Reach Prevent Toothbrushes $1.79 each= $3.58
Total=$11.58
Use the Listerine buy one get one free coupon from the 8/2SS
(will deduct $4)
Use the Reach buy one get one free coupon from the 4/26RP
(will deduct $1.79)
Plus, use the $3/2 Listerine & Reach coupon from the 8/2SS
And use the $1 Walgreens Agent Cool Blue/ Smart Rinse coupon from the coloring book (will deduct $2)
Finally use the in ad coupon that will make the Reach toothbrushes $0.99 each (will deduct $1.60 total)

Your total will now be -$0.81, so you’ll definitely need to add on an additional item priced around $1 to get your total out of the negative! Final cost will be right around FREE + you’ll get back a $3 Register Reward for the Listerine–which will make this a moneymaker!
*********************************

Also, the Dentyne gum is on clearance for $0.65 per pack! Plus, when you purchase one you’ll get a $0.50 Register Reward. Final cost ONLY $0.15! This would be a great filler item to purchase for your coupon to item ratio. (Thanks, Clippin’WithCarie!)

Wow, wish I would have seen this before I went out this morning. I’ll just have to go back.

At my Wags the Smart rinse came with a free travel size smart rinse attached. Both in a box also rining@ $4 and produces the $3 RR.

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for this. I’m working on learning how to shop Walgreens. It seems harder to me than CVS’ing for some reason?

(also linked back to you on my post)

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Its harder because you have to keep in mind about having no more coupons than products you are purchasing and this includes any RR’s you are redeeming. Also that they don’t allow any overage on your coupons.

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

A good filler would be another activity book @.99. Some cashiers want your original coupon. So you would have a back up in case they take your original from the book.

Ok, I’m frustrated! I can’t find the Listerine BOGO coupon in the 8/2SS. In fact I can’t find a lot of the coupons y’all mention. I’m in Portland, OR — maybe that’s the problem? I keep looking and looking . . . anyone else having that problem?

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

wow, that’s even better than my scenario, THANKS!

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Any tips on where I can find this activity book? I’ve looked all over both of our Walgreens and have found nothing yet!

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry – this won’t work. Remember at Walgreens the number of items must = the number of coupons. I think I counted 7 coupons for 4 items….

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Anon,
Walgreens store coupons do not count–only manufacturer coupons count toward your coupon to item ratio.

    Pattil24,
Coupons do vary by region and some areas do not get certain coupons. I’m guessing your location may have not received the Listerine bogo coupon.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i live in dallas/fort worth and have found that the dallas morning news has different coupons than the fort worth star telegram… so to the person who posted in portland who couldn’t find the coupons, maybe your region didn’t get them?!?!?

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    will this work:
buy 2 listerine smart rinse or agent cool blue & 1 reach toothbrush
use: BOGO listerine Q, $3/2 listerine & reach Q, WAGS in ad Q to make toothe brush $.99 & the WAGS $1 listerine Q from coloring book

=$.01??? ofcourse i will have to get a filler

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great deals! My Walgreens wouldn’t let me do the BOGO and the $1 activity book Q together:(I tried to tell her the $1 was on the one I was buying and the BOGO was on the other, but she said 1Q only. Still, great deal!

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The Dentyne deal you posted doesn’t work, but the rest of the stuff did! Thanks!
Also, in my Wags coloring book, there was no coupon for the mouthwash. It was some other type of mouthwash in there.

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had trouble with my RR printing. I had the Green and the Pink Smart Rinse. I cant stand the blue. Used the BOGO Q and $1 Manu Q and WAG’s Q. Paid $1 plus tax but RR did not print. I kept being told because I used the Q’s. Asked to refund money and went to another WAG’s and had the same problem. The Asst Mang said it was the WAG’s q for them lately that had been giving trouble. He printed my RR afterwards.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

At my Walgreen’s, the activity books were in the back, near the pharmacy counter. (It’s a health-themed book for kids)

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had the same problem with the RR not printing. It ties in with the $3/2 coupon it’s coded the same as the RR and that stops the machine from printing it( which I found out from someone later ). The manager was kind enough to rering the mouth wash alone and it printed them.

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The deal with the Dentyne is buy 2, get $1RR, buy 3 get $1.5RR and buy 4 get $2RR. I tried with one and it didn’t work but receive the print out for the deal instead.
    Hope it helps

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Same with me, when I used the $3 for 2 Q it did not print out an RR, but on a different transaction I did not use that Q and I recieved my RR.

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just had the same thing happen…no RR printed. I talked with the manager at my Walgreens (WA state). He said that they are getting more strict with the RR and coupons. And my RR didn’t print because of the number of coupons I used.

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Thanks for a great deal!

I used BOGO Smart Rinse, the in-ad/99 cents toothbrush coupon, 2 .50 Reach toothbrush coupons AND it printed a $1 Catalina for Smart Rinse while she was ringing me up (and the super cool cashier said, “Let’s try and see if this will work to save you another dollar!”…and it did!), so .98 for 2 toothbrushes & 2 mouthwashes. :o)

We had .50 toothbrush coupons instead of the BOGO ones.

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Register Reward didn’t print either when I tried this deal. The manager said it was because the IVC coupons are manufacturer coupons. Of course, I said NO. I didn’t want to mess with it, so I just returned everything.
