Use the $8/1 Target coupon

I was wondering if anyone has actually gotten Target to price match than let them use a Target coupon on top of that. I don’t mean to bash Collin at all, I’m just wondering. I know when I use a Target q on an item it shows up on the receipt at the adjusted price, so a $14.99 item – a $5 Target q, for example, looks something like this on my receipt –
    00000 Item desc. $9.99
    Coupon $5 off $14.99

I’m just thinking that the folks at customer service are going to tell me I already got it for $9.99 and won’t price match unless I have an ad with a price lower than that. Anyone having any success with this? It will help me alot with my Target shopping this week! 🙂

I did a price match just today on the Giraffalaff Limbo. I went through a cashier to do everything but the price match. I went to cust. service and purchased the game. I gave her my toys r us ad and then the coupon and she took both. What the policy means when it says that coupons are exclusions, they will not take another store’s coupon. Walmart does this but not Target.

I went to Target today. I was able to price match the Clue game with a Toys R Us ad plus use a Target $5 coupon and a $5 manufacturers coupon. Final price for the game was $10 with retail of $23.99. I also did the same scenario with a Tag reading book. No questions asked. The cashier rang me up and then I had to get the price adjustment at the service counter.
In addition I used the Connect 4 Target coupon and manufacturers coupon on Connect 4×4 and got the game for $5.

I was able to use both $10 coupons for the Tag Junior. They didn’t even really look at the coupons and they went through just fine. I think it will probably depend on your cashier. I’ve found the younger the cashier, the better luck I have!

    SWEET!

I tried to purchase the Tag Jr. today at my Target in Nampa, ID and the cashier said I could NOT use the coupon for the Jr. She even tried scanning it anyway, just in case, and the register wouldn’t let her. 🙁 Bummer. Maybe I’ll try again tomorrow…

I went to Target today and used both the manufacturer coupon and the target coupon both for 5.00 off the Connect4 game. The game was on sale for 14.97 but at the checkout it rang up 10.00 so I got it for FREE !!!! Thanks for the tip. This was in Waxahachie TX. I put it with my travel size Hungry Hippo games I have put up for Christmas.

So, can you NOT use the Leap frog tag coupon on Tag jr? thanks!

I saved $110 using TRU pricematch at Target, manufacturer coupons, and Target coupons. I got the Disney Princess Musical Vanity ($99 at Target)- it was $69.99 in the TRU Big Book, and then a $10 off Target coupon- I got it for $59.99!! I am thrilled, because it is on my daughter’s Santa list!! A lot of the coupons are for toys that are cheaper in the TRU Big Book, so check it out before you go!! You do have to bring in the actual ad, and they check things VERY carefully- but be sure to watch. I had to go back in this morning because they somehow forgot to ring up some coupons- I got another $20 back!

I went last night to Target and used both $10 Tag coupons on the Tag Jr. They were on sale for $28.99, so I ended up paying only $8.99. The cashier just asked where I had found such great coupons, but they went through without any beeps.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I purchased the Leap Frog Tag and the Tag Jr. today at the Target in Kansas City, and used both $10 coupons on each of the items, so a savings of $40! The Tag was already marked at 39.99, so I didn’t have to price match with TRU, even though I had the ad with me!

    Thanks Collin! Love this site!

Does anyone know what the Bricks link was for the $2 off tag coupons it’s no longer on the leapfrog page.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did not get the Target connect 4×4 Q to work because it is connect 4 spongebob, so it was $10 OOP. Oh well, I scored some girls Halloween tights and leggings for a buck each. And they are just black.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went to buy the Scatterpillar Scramble Game. I was told to go through the regular registers and then go to customer service for the price adjustment. On my receipt, the game automatically went to $14.99 when she scanned the Target coupon and then it showed my Man.coupon savings. When I went to customer service, she said she couldn’t adjust the price because it was the same as Kmarts $14.99. She said even though I had the coupon, she couldn’t do anything more. I can’t decide if I want the game for $11. It’s probably a good price but my kids didn’t ask for it for Christmas and they have a list! 😉 Anyone else have this problem?

  14. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Here in milwaukee wi, I had the NICEST cashier ever. She used to $10 off target leap frog Tag system coupon and the $10 from leapfrog, so it was $8.99. She had to put both in by hand and get managers approval. She was beyond sweet. I wish I would have gotten her name so I could send a letter.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got a great deal on the LeapFrog TAG system! Aldi has a Christmas catalog with the TAG system listed for 36.99. I took in their ad, used the two coupons, and after tax paid 18.88. Woo-hoo! Thanks for the heads-up on this!

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sara: When did you get a good deal on the tag books at toys r us?

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The TRU toy book (prices valid until the end of the month) has Guesstures advertised for $19.99.
There is a $5 MC on the Hasbro site. Combine with the $5 TC to make it $10!
    This game is normally $27.99!

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Walmart has these priced at $15 this week, through 11/14. If you take in the Walmart ad for a price match, and stack the Target coupon with the manufacturer’s coupon, it gets them down to $5 each!

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just used the KMart ad at Target (they price matched) and got the new Clues Spies for $4.99 ($14.99-$5 target coupon and $5 manufact. coupon) and the same with the Pictureka Flipper game! Great deal!

  20. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I didn’t see anything in their online sales paper about the buy 2 get 1 free wii games. Is that a coupon too, or is it advertised in the store?

That, coupled with the $10/2 coupon is gonna give me about 90% of my kids’ Santa list in one fell swoop! Woohoo!
