Justreceived this from cusomer service rep at Dollar General:

Dollar General is pleased to accept manufacturer coupons at any of our more than 8,100 stores. If you have five coupons for five products, you may use them in one transaction unless the coupon states otherwise. If the coupon states that it is good for any product, you may use the coupon for any product even if it is not pictured, unless the coupon states otherwise.

You may use a Dollar General coupon along with a Manufacturer’s coupon for the same item, as long as neither coupon states otherwise.

Unfortunately, due to fraudulent attempts, we are unable to accept internet coupons, unless they were e-mailed to you directly from Dollar General. To sign up for Dollar General promotional discounts and offers, please visit http://www.dollargeneral.com and click on the “Sign up for E-mails” link in the upper right corner of the page.

I am in Texas too, and asked the manager if they accepted IP’s and she said ” no problem”….I am also is a town of only 1000 people and it is the only store in town besides a small grocery store. Everyone knows everyone. Maybe that is why she doesn’t have a problem taking IP’s. Not sure.

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

1.89 at the commissary here in VA Beach. Though I had to argue to get them to take my coupons. The cashier insisted that they do not take coupons that create any overage and that it is impossible to adjust the price down. I stood my ground though and got 2 other people involved before they agreed that they were in fact wrong. 🙁 Such a hassle! Especially when I had Scottie’s tissues in the same transaction that she gladly scanned the 1.00 coupons for with overage.
