Doesn’t the coupon say “limit 2”? How can I buy 4 at $3.99 and reach the $20 minimum if the limit is 2?
Wow, are you lucky, Collin. I’ve always been held to the “limit” at Walgreens. I wish they had self checkouts so I could see if they’d really go through without cashier intervention!
$3.99 x 4 is only $15.96 so I don’t think this will work. At my Walgreens locally the coupon comes off before the total is given, so this definitely wouldn’t work in my area.
Hi Po. A lot of cashiers at Walgreens *will* let you exceed the limit — if the register allows it, they do too. You just have to try here and there and find a Walgreens where they do it (at all 5 stores in my area, they do). If they don’t at your store, since you’re not losing a coupon that was hard to come by, if you can spare the $16 temporarily just return the water if you don’t decide to decline the transaction at the register you’re at. Most Walgreens stores will let people work this deal.
It won’t print the $10 RR because the total will be below the $20 purchase required after using the coupons. This happened with the free Tide deal a couple weeks ago!

It seems like it would work just fine if you bought 5 cases instead of 4… if your walgreens lets you, of course. Throw an extra case of water in there, girls! I know that I will put a 5th case to good use!

I did the RR on Sunday with soda and Stacey’s Pita chips (used my free bag coupon from becoming a facebook fan) and it worked great. Next week’s ad is a much better price for soda and chips though!! I will be doing it again, you can’t beat soda/water and chips at that sale plus the RR!

Megan – I saw the pepsi throwback at Target yesterday. 12 pks on sale for $2.75 each here and the Target website has $1/1 12 pk and you can print 2. $1.75 for a 12 pk is great!!

I took one for the team and went out and tried this. It worked just fine! They are on sale for 2 for $10. I bought 4, I think she hit total, then I gave her the $3.99 coupon. It took off $1.01 per case. So it worked for all 4 even though it said limit 2. I got the $10 RR back no problem.

Just got back from WAGS, they were out of Water! Darnit. But I did do the Bayer deal and the Chips a hoy deal again!
I don’t trust it, I tried the cookies at the store yesterday and yes they were on sale for 99 each but didn’t print a reward. could have bout a full bag a the grocery store for 2 bucks and had more cookies. Some deals only work in certain areas????
did you but the chocolate chip ones? they are the only ones that give the RR the oreos and other ones don’t.

It will definitely work. The regular price on the Aquafina is $5.99. When you buy 4 the total comes to $23.96. You wouldn’t give the coupon BEFORE the product is scanned. The computer system at Walgreen’s is the same across the country, it will recognize $23.96 for 4 cases and THAT is what triggers the $10RR. It will make no difference if you utilize the in-ad coupon to bring the price down to $15.96, the computer recognizes the $23.96 being $20 or greater and therefore you will get the $10 RR.
I just came home from Walgreens too 🙁 I’m still happy as I bought 20 items which averaged out to 17 cents each. Yeah and included toothbrushes, toothpastes, chips ahoy, and the elusive Finish/Electrosol tabs. YEAH!

My hubby uses these on his veterinary truck and I hate buying bottled water … but these also happen to be the EcoFinas…which means they are a little more “green” … also … I ended up turning around and using the $10 RR on diapers (which are on sale at Walgreens right now for $8.99) … plus I had coupons (I needed diapers) … so this was a great little stop for me!! Then I headed across the street to RiteAid and got the Dawn (yeah!!) and as a little bonus … I was so excited to see that they had their LipSmackers (select items) clearanced 75% off … (non-holiday even) …so I used those $1.00 coupons to get those free as well. I posted a photo. I love mornings like this!!

It also worked for me, though I’m skeptical..is it hard to spend a $10 register reward without “wasting” money to use it? Will we be able to “roll” the deal if we use our reward on chips next week?
ok, apparently i’m forgetting what i’m learning. tell me the order we must use coupons at wags again. i just came back from buying 2 playtex sport & 2 chips ahoy, used 2 $1 mq for playtex & 1 $1 q for cookies & tried to use a $3 RR i had from last week. register beeped & cashier said i exceeded coupon limit, could not use RR. Should i have used it 1st? i’m having a brain freeze or getting confused w/the different stores policies. tks.
You should have been able to use it unless the $3.00 RR would have made the total amount due less than the tax amount on the transaction.
For Wags, you can use 1 coupon per item.. The RRs are considered a coupon.
You didnt exceed the coupon limit.. They just like to say that cuz they dont know why or some other reason only known to them. 😉 I usually grab a 99c lotion or a candy bar for my sweetie if I think the total will be close..
I believe that the reason it did not work is because the cookie coupon is for $1/2 if the coupon attaches itself to 2 items then it counts as 2 coupons. Or you may have been over the amount before tax. HTH
Just worked for me here in Sarasota, FL. Then I took my $10 RR over to my local Publix (who accepts it as a competitor coupon- 1 RR/ transaction) and bought 4 more of those whole chickens on sale this week for $4.11 out of pocket.
Another great thing about the Aquafina deal is that you can use RR’s to pay without needing “filler” items since it’s a Wags ad, not a manu q. I had a ton of RR’s this week, so I was able to burn 3 of them on this deal.

$10 RR printed for me this morning Walgreens in So Cal. Plus all the holiday items were only 10 cents each.
Can you take the water deal RR and use it for the pepsi deal next week? Or do they expire fast?
Kim-I don’t think that will work…if you use RR to buy something for RR, and they are from the same company/manufacturer…it won’t print you out new RR. Hope that helps.
Also, one other question: Can I use that 10RR for something like 8.99 diapers and we call it even? As in, I get the diapers for free but do not use the whole $10. Or do I have to have a total of $10 or more to use a 10RR?

Kim-If you don’t care about getting a new RR, then it doesn’t matter. However, it just seems wrong!!! LOL!!
In regards to your other question, I don’t think the computer will take the 10 RR for something less than 10…it can’t pay for tax…that’s when you’d want to throw in a few “fillers.” I usually grab a few individual carmel candies that are up by the registers and cost 33c each.
Kim- if you use the 10 rr from aqua. for the pepsi deal you will not get another 10 rr you can do it but you’ll wont get another one. It would be better to roll the 10 rr into something else then use those rr on the pepsi deal so you can still get the 10 rr hope that helps
It worked for me in Iowa too. But since I only needed a couple cases of water and am OUT of Mountain Dew (how will I survive?) I got 2 cases of water and 2 12 pks of Mt. Dew and got the $10 RR. Also picked up 2 more Neosporin Lip at 2/$8; used 2 – $3 coups and got $3 RR. Thanks for all the great deals Colin! Penny: I’m not sure which cookie coupon you used. If it was a $1/2 coupon then you did not have enough items — the $1/2 will attach itself to BOTH of the cookie products. So, you needed one more item in order to use the RR. Hope this helps.

Oh my gosh! I did not know that. I thought it was just one coupon (no matter how many you have to buy to use that coupon) per item. I had no idea it would attach to both items if it was a $1 off 2. Maybe that is why I have been confused a few times when I thought I had it all worked out with same number of items as coupons but it beeped. I’ll have to remember that.

Hello Kim — make sure you use your $10 RR on some item valued over $10. At my Walgreens, the diapers on sale for $8.99 are usually $11.99, so i could use a $10 RR on the $8.99 sale diapers as long as i had fillers to get my total to $10. But if i just bought an item regularly priced at $8.99 and nothing else, it wouldn’t work. i’ve purchased a $4.99 box of Benadryl before with a $5 RR, so a $9.99 item, yes, depending on the cashier, but not $8.99. At CVS you can spend your ECB and lose the extra, but Walgreens won’t permit it. Hope that clarifies things.
TKS Rhonda. I did not realize it attached to both cookies so if i bought a filler, the order would not have made a difference. the cashier told me i should have used my RR 1st.

We actually have a filter on our sink for our water, however I will be in on this deal because our dog has one of those bottle buddy toys and he goes through the bottles quite fast 🙂
So lot’s of cheap doggie toys and water for me and then they go in the recycle after he’s smooshed them up enough, so I double recycle 😀
