I am wondering if anyone has been to a carters/the childrens place/old navy/ oshkoshbgosh outlet lately? I know they usually have good deals, but it is kind of a drive for me to go if they do not have the 3.99 rack! Also, anyone been looking at target toys lately? are they 75% off yet? ~ thanks

    • I Heart Coupon Deals

My Target toys here in SoCal are still 50%.

    • Jannel

I was jsut at my Target yesterday and they are still at 50% alos. I am waiting for the 75% because they had some great toys marked down!

  2. I Heart Coupon Deals

Thanks for the Ben & Jerrys link! Can’t wait to get the coupon!

  3. Priscilla

I signed up, earlier this month, and received the free cone for joining and one for my Jan. birthday. Now I need to go get ice cream.

  4. Lacey

This may make some mad, but I will not support Ben & Jerry’s. Several months ago, they came out with a new flavor called “Hubby Hubby”. They support equality in marriage which means SAME SEX MARRIAGE. I made a trip to Vermont with the family & let them know I would no longer be visiting their factory. Furthermore, I told them that even if they gave away FREE ice cream I would not participate. You all can do what you want, but I want nothing to do with this company whatsoever.

    • Lindsay

      Thanks for this!

And above poster…you drove all the way to Vermont to tell them you’re not supporting them?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

now now…I’m sure you buy things from walmart that are made by a little child in a factory so in turn you are supporting that..let’s pick and choose what we say/do.

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks Collin, not just for the ice cream but saving me soooo much money! I have been trying to find places to store items that I purchased or got for free this past week, let me just say trying to put away 24 boxes of cereal alone is a chore! LOL You are amazing! P.S. My husband is a Navy recruiter and we live in Myrtle Beach, where groceries are very pricey and no commissary nearby! Thanks for helping a fellow military spouse score some great deals!

    • Jannel

How did you get 24 boxes of cereal for free? That is awesome!!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Jannel not all of it was free but I paid so little for it all I can’t believe it! I use to pay full price for cereals all of the time, not anymore!!

  6. Alison S.

    awe she’s such a cutie pie 🙂

  7. stephanie

Oh my gosh please do not turn this into a same sex marriage debate. Not the place to discuss political views, just save a few bucks here and there and be happy. Gosh knows I have saved hundreds because of Collin and her work. Thank you.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

WOWZERS! i LOVE free anything… to bad we dont have one near us at all!!!

  9. Lisa

    she is so cute………

  10. Leyla

I totally understand Karen, I am running out of space also. But isn’t it such a great feeling to see everything that you’ve been able to get for free or almost free. I love it!!! Thanks Collin!

I also wanted to say that I (myself) don’t support same sex marriage, but I don’t judge people or companies who do. There are far more important things going on in the world to be worried about people’s personal choices. I am OK with everyone, as long as you aren’t hurting people. Life is way too short, Enjoy it!!!!

    • Jannel

      Nicely said!

  11. Sarah

Not even gonna go there on the driving to VT to tell Ben and Jerry’s what you think post. Just driving by to say…Collin, your daughter is DOLL! 🙂

  12. Lacey

Yes, but Ben & Jerry’s was outwardly support gay marriage by putting out that flavor of ice cream. My goodness! We shouldn’t have to tell our children to turn their heads as to not see the gay ice cream flavor in the ice cream section. What is there to judge? The Bible does all that for us. I am just saying that I am not giving them any of my money & not participating in their programs. I know that we cannot boycott everything b/c we wouldn’t have hardly anything left to buy. However, they were the ones to put their little agenda out on the frontlines. There are plenty of other ice cream companies, so they will be the ones to get my business for the rest of my days on this earth.

No, I did not drive to Vermon to tell them I wouldn’t visit their factory. LOL! We were on a vacation there anyways. It is your business if you buy their products. I simply thought some of you might want to know this information. That is why I put it out there. If people slam me, that’s okay. It won’t change how I believe. : ) Everyone out there have a blessed and wonderful day.

    • Tracey

I love how people try and soften their hate and bigotry we things like ‘have a blessed day’.

Why the hell would your kids have to turn their heads and not look at the flavor, are you kidding me?

Kudos to Ben & Jerry’s for supporting equality for all.

      • Lindsay

Nicely said. Some people are just idiots and want their opinion out there for the world.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Funny how an opinion is ignorant and a person close minded if they don’t support everything and anything you choose to believe. Why is it that tolerance includes everything except being tolerant of christians? interesting. and by the way, the Bible does not support modern day slavery and most certainly does not claim that the earth is flat. that truly is ignorance. It’s easy to throw random and base-less facts out to make someone seem foolish, but anyone who has true knowledge of the Bible would know otherwise. there will be a time when your eyes will be opened and i hope you are ready to face the truth.

  13. FrugalDay

How cute! I love the days when we can get ice cream. Our 18 month old is just getting a taste here and there. I can’t wait until summer, she’ll get her own cone then!

  14. Leyla

OMG! Turn their heads??? It’s just ice cream. Lacey I understand your frustration but seriously. Would you tell your kids to turn their heads if they see a same sex couple when you are out and about??? Now that is just not nice, I would hope that we would all be teaching our kids to respect and be kind to others. We don’t need anymore bullying and judging at schools anyway, its hard enough as it is for kids to grow up.

  15. Alissa

I tried to ignore the earlier comment, but couldn’t pass by without saying something.

Ben & Jerry’s supports a variety of causes including, but not limited to: protecting the environment, paying their employees a LIVABLE wage (which, according to their website, is more than twice the minimum wage in recent years), supporting family farms, encouraging employees company-wide to participate in day-long community events (i.e. rebuilding houses in New Orleans; cooking, boxing and planting food for Vermont Food Bank), and yes, equality for all.

    Read more on their website:
    https://www.benjerry.com/activism/mission-statement/

That sounds like exactly the kind of company I can feel good supporting.

  16. Ellie

Hmmm, the Ben & Jerry’s near me isn’t listed on there, so I left that field blank. I wonder if I’ll still get a coupon.

In regards to Lacey’s comment, I don’t even know where to begin. Ben & Jerry’s supports a lot of good causes including equality. I understand everyone is different and people have different beliefs. If however, you’re making your children turn their heads to avoid an ice cream flavor, you’ll probably end up with some very naive and close-minded spawn. Gay people exist, and you won’t be able to shield your children from them forever.

Also, I’m not exactly sure how you think that boycotting a company because they want all people to be equal is a bigger priority than boycotting a company like Walmart which destroys perfectly good clothing instead of donating it to the poor, uses child labor to produce their products, and destroys local businesses because they have to ability to sell their products at a much lower cost.

I personally haven’t boycotted either, but if I were to choose, I would think that it would be a no-brainer to care more about avoiding a company that’s physically hurting children, rather than a company that cares about who marries who.

  17. Alison S.

so I guess there are extra NUTS in hubby hubby? i kid i kid 😉

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Alison you had me laughing so hard at your post!! That was better than paying to see a comedy act!

  18. dana

B&J’s used to be the only kind of ice cream that I bought, but I haven’t touched the stuff since the HubbyHubby thing either. I used to love their i.c., but haven’t had any desire to support their agenda. If they want to in-your-face support such a controversial issue, fine. If I choose not to buy their product, because I don’t want MY money going to support it also, that is my right. If I didn’t already know about their agenda, I would have been glad to have been informed by previous posters…

And, about the judging issue, do some of your own research – especially into gay issues and involving/training young boys. Put your kids in the equation and think again about whether or not you want to support the gay agenda (you are if you buy B&J-even if it is free), and whether it really is a ‘to each their own’ issue…

    • Tracey

Dude what ‘gay agenda’ — um equal rights– and you need some serious help if you actually believe that the gay population is out there to trying to get at and ‘involve/train young boys’. You are not seriously putting out there what I think you are saying? People like you frighten me and I would want my children to steer clear of you.

Think, research (and no do not get your information from the church or religious right),open your mind.

  19. Enne

It’s just ice cream!!! I do not support gay marriage but all of these ignorant comments are making me want to go buy the whole warehouse of hubby hubby ice cream. As parents we can’t be so ignorant, we don’t know what choices our children are going to make. Although I would hope that my boys make decisions that support our beliefs, I would never turn their back on them and not support them if they chose to be in a same sex relationship. HELLO!!! this is seriously not a big deal its not like they are supporting killing or anything like that.

    • Ellie

I wish I could upvote comments here. Seriously, it’s just ice cream and gay people. No one’s dying here.

  20. I Heart Coupon Deals

It’s a good thing every single person has a RIGHT to their own opinion…

    I hate Walmart btw…

  21. anonymous

You guys crack me up! LOL!

  22. Lacey

Ladies, I was just informing you all about the ice cream in case you didn’t get the e-mail several months ago. I agree with what several people have said about Walmart and other. I rarely go there. Can’t stand going to Walmart. I absolutely do not HATE gay people. I hate the sin they commit. Just as I would hate my children telling lies. I made the comment about you shouldn’t have to have your children turn their heads going down the ice cream aisle, b/c who needs a 4 year old having to deal with those kinds of issues. “Mommy, why is there a picture of 2 boys getting married.” “Mommy, I want the wedding ice cream.” It is ridiculous! Be careful judging people who are truely just making a comment. People in these comment sections sure can attack people. Thank you to those of you who had the guts to stand up for me. And, when I said have a blessed day, that was exactly what I meant. If any of you have some unresolved issues with church or Christians, that is your business & between you and God. I really don’t care to have people read more into what I am trying to say than what I have said. So what there are gay people! Do I believe it is right? NO!!! Do I think people are born that way? No! Get mad I don’t care. Our country needs to get back to the basic from what it was founded on & quit accepting all of this garbage. FYI – not calling gay people garbage. I am talking about immorality. It doesn’t matter if it is cheating on your taxes, adultery, lying, gays, whatever. I can’t keep tabs on every single company, but I can let the ones I know about know how I feel.

I really don’t care what Ben & Jerry’s has done for the environment or whatever. Works do not make you right anyways. They may not even have a clue, but they are so way off.

  23. Lacey

And, yes, if there was a gay couple holding hands, kissing, or whatever, I would have them turn their heads. I don’t want my children to grow up thinking that behavior is okay. I would ask my son to turn his head if a half dressed girl was walking our direction. We don’t beed to put that stuff before our eyes. Many of you don’t even have a clue what I am talking about, so don’t even comment if you are clueless. I am very passionate about raising my children right how God intends. I never, never, never for a second what them to think that is okay. Just as I do NOT lie to them, so I don’t want them to think it is okay to lie. And, the list goes on. Am I perfect, way not. But, I do try to do what is right even though I fall along the way.

  24. Tracey

So it is an attack when someone has an opinion that differs from what you post and questions what you are saying? My first post to you was tame and not an attack it is my opinion and a question about what I had just read.

Now regarding your two posts above this, I had a much longer response but cut it way down and to comment on a few things you said:

I think the clueless one here is you. I know exactly what you are talking about- intolerance- and your posts show your ignorance too, it is not like your simple thoughts and sentences are hard to read/comprehend. Your last two posts just make you look worse than your previous posts.

Here you are now comparing gay people with liars, cheats and calling them immoral.

You want us to get back to what our country was founded on, well if I recall correctly it wasn’t the Bible.

FYI– I don’t have a problem with Christians or “God”, I have a problem with people using God and the Bible to spew hate, intolerance and trying to impose their beliefs on the rest of us.

Maybe one day you will read a book other than the Bible. A little knowlege never hurt anyone.

Completely closeminded, uniformed, uneducated and passing on that intolerance and ignorance to another generation– ‘keep up the good work’.

  25. Lacey

You don’t even know me. I do not hate. I hate the sin. That is not ignorance. We are talking about the God breathed Word of God. I am sorry you feel the Bible makes me ignorant, intolerant, and closeminded. I stand on one Word and that is the Bible. It is the Truth, and foremost the Truth. I am not spewing hate. If someone cannot read without controlling their own emotions then I am sorry. I hate what gay people do. I was comparing them to other sins to show readers that I am not hating or picking on gays. What they do is wrong according to the Word of God. Either a person believe or doesn’t. We cannot throw out what the Word says. And, I have read many books just so you know.

As far as you and the rest of the world, I don’t care what you believe. I know my own beliefs and you may believe how you want. Just don’t accuse me of thrusting my beliefs on everyone else. I simply was posting information. I am very sad that people who call themselves Christians will not speak the Truth and take a stand.

In response to our country, everything I have read was that our Founding Father’s founded this country on the Word of God. I am sure they were not perfect. Nor, is anyone of us. But, that is what I have always read. We can probably just leave this and agree we will not agree. I never purposed to make you or anyone here agree with me. Just giving out information about the company. Nor, do I hate B&J’s. I hate for what they are standing for.

  26. Tracey

I left this page open knowing that you would come back and respond. This is my last response, I come here because of the great work that Collin does (and the great info that other members post too), this site has saved me so much money and given me great info, tips and Ideas.

Here is the only part of your post I am going to respond to– the Founding Father’s did not found this country based on the Word of God. Go back and thoroughly read our country’s history. Did you not go to school, did you go to a religious school or more likely were you home schooled by Christians following some type of faith based education. It is never too late to get some history books or go online to read the Truth about the history of our country.
The more you write you continue to show that you don’t know the real truth- ignorant to the facts of our country’s true history.

I am done, both of us need to get back to saving money because we do have that in common.

  27. Alison S.

here’s something to chew on…if it’s about equality, shouldn’t there be a flavor called “wifey wifey” too? 🙂 Extra Nuts of course in hubie hubie…let’s see what would wifey wifey have? my mind is spinning with ideas! AND would us make us a little bit gay if we LIKED the actual flavor? I mean if it’s chocolate or peanut butter or a combination, I’m gonna experiment! ha Food for thought, or ice cream for thought in this case. My hubie hubie just rolled his eyes at me. 🙂

  28. Alison S.

more appropriately I should have started that last post, “here’s something to lick on”

  29. michelle s

Poor Collin!! All THIS from an ice cream coupon post! Oh My! It’s more drama than any daytime soap! BTW Piper is Precious, love the little mug full of ice cream…

  30. Enne

I am sorry, but Lacey you seriously have problems. God forbid your children turn out to be gay because I am sure that you would be the first idiot to tell them that they are going to hell. Stop and THINK before you open that big mouth. Leave God out of your stupid thinking. It doesn’t matter who believes in God, have a heart. You should seriously consider going to therapy, for the sake of the world.

  31. Jen

Wow! All I wanted to knomw is if anyone actually got their free coupon? I either deleted it by mistake it never got it!

  32. Scott D

Lacey The Bible believes in slavery too, do you still have yours? Oh and the earth, it’s flat according to the Bible, which by the way was written by the Romans.
