Mega Swag Bucks Day: Win 100 Swagbucks!
As you all know, I’ve jumped on the Swagbucks bandwagon! I’m already a little addicted and so is my hubby! Every time I looks over to see what he’s doing on his computer, well… he’s performing another Swagbucks search! Sometimes when I peak over he quickly clicks on to another site… I think he may be a little embarrassed.
Anyway, I am definitely motivated to score lots of Swagbucks, which is why I will be searching lots today! You see, today is Mega Swag Bucks Day. That means that instead of just winning 1 or 2 Swagbucks, you can possibly win up to 100 Swagbucks… and remember, that’s just for doing a simple search!

It seems like no matter how often I search, I only win once per day. Bummer! And usually only 1 point…MAYBE 2.
Any ideas? What things produce more points…what search terms?
Also, make sure that you always open the emails that they send occasionally. There is always a code at the very bottom of the email! The sender name is weird tho, it comes from Prodege @ or something like that. I almost deleted it the first time I got it, but then realized what it was.

I just “skipped” all of the offers and scored 1 easy Swagbuck! Took me 60 seconds tops! I would like to hear how others win more than one buck per day though. I’ll also say that I haven’t been doing Swagbucks for even an entire month yet and have 45 Swagbucks! That will buy me a $5 Amazon Gift Card! This is my way to save for Christmas this year…..FREE!
My wife and I both had accounts with Swagbucks and we tried to redeem both accounts at the same time for something and they closed here account because they said only one per household. Just to let you know.
Also, when you search if a buck doesn’t come up go to the bottom of the page and click the next page and sometimes you will get a buck. Also, I have went to the top of the page and clicked images or one of the other options and won a swagbuck. Sometimes you actually have to spend some time on the page to get the valuable swagbuck.

Yes, they check IP addresses AND mailing addresses.
I LOVE SBs! Been a member for about a year & most of the time get 2 $5 Amazon cards per month. One time I got a $10 Starbucks gift card. I actually have several blogs I read each day & rather than type them in the bar above, I just use SBs. Yeah, it is definitely addicting sometimes! ๐
I always get at least one if not more swagbucks for searching MSN. Sometimes if there is one phrase or search you get a buck for it will often hit that same one on different days.

I’ve been searching on swagbucks for 3 days now and I just did this offer and I’ve only got 4 swagbucks. Am I missing something? I downloaded the toolbar and I sign in and go to my facebook, hip2save, foxnews…etc. I’d not received anymore until the one just now. How do you get more?!?!??
hang in there and just keep searching random things…once I got 4 swagbucks for searching poopie diaper! KEEP checking the special offers – I happened to look once and they were offering 125 SB for signing up for a FREE trial of stamps.com!! Of course its gone now but I am hoping there’ll be more like it!
be patient…. I feel like for me getting more bucks goes in cycles. For a few days in a row I get lucky and then it seems to be a lull for a while. I was a little discouraged my first 2 weeks, but then it really picked up. Good luck!

Also if you check the wall on facebook for swagbucks, you will always know when there is a code because you will see everyone saying thanks TSG! And often times they will give you hints as where to look. Especially when there is a swaghunt on. The special offers one changes every Thursday, so for now that is a a guaranteed one per week, but there is usually one out in addition per day.

I love me some swagbucks! I’ve been at it for about a month and today I ordered my third $5 Amazon card! I have been lucky enough to get 5 people to sign up under me but so far only 1 of them is really using it (She is addicted too!) I have noticed this week that I have been having more difficulty gaining bucks by my searching.
Also, if you use the swagbucks swidget you can always click and see if there is a swagcode out. It wont tell you what it is but it will give you an idea of where to find it. I havent been able to figure out how to get the swidget on my facebook page yet but I do find it on some of the blogs to be able to check it.

What exactly is “the swidget?” ๐
The swidget is a widget that lets you do several things on swagbucks. You can search from it and you can check for codes (although sometimes it fails to tell you so be sure to check the swagbucks facebook page as everyone will be abuzz when there is a code out and you can ask for hints of where to look. You can NOT ask what it is, but you can get an idea of where to look.) And some other things. I just put mine as a link on my facebook page and then I click the link twice and it opens in a new browser window for me so I can just leave it open and come back often and check it easily. HTH

i just got 2sb !! yay! the best tip i learned is to save your search to your favorites list. then instead of reloading the page- go to the fav list, that way you dont have to type it in all the time… just click, click, bam! sb!! ๐ i loveeeee fridays!!!
I can only seem to get $1 a day no matter how much or how little I search. I also ordered from the My M&M’s thru the offers and it says it confirms in 1 day, well that was yesterday and my 45 SB aren’t in my account.
If you contact them they are usually very nice and will check to make sure everything is working right with your account.
When you contact them, go ahead and send a copy of your email confirmation from M7Ms. It should credit after they receive that.

I already mentioned this in another post. I had some missing SB. They claimed I had enetered sweepstakes, but I hadn’t . I even pointed out that it doesn’t show up in my history. Unfortunately, it never got resolved. But like I said before, I’m getting lots for free, so I can’t really complain ๐
I have made 11 swagbucks in 3 days just going to hip2save instead under my favorites. 3 days and I am up 2 24 swagbucks. Got my mom to sign up and trying to get my brother now. This is great!! All for doing what i would normally do anyway.
I searched Hip2Save and won 4 SB and then I went to Special Offers and won 1 SB.
Feeling clueless. What do I look for when I search a site using SB? I went to a few sites, did my thing but didn’t know if I was supposed to be looking for a SB icon on the sites I search. I’m not understanding what you guys mean when you say you went to hip2save.com and got SB. Please help.

When you search by using Swagbucks and you win a Swagbuck it will show up on the screen and tell you that you have won it and then you will be promted to return to your search.

Ok not sure what just happened to my reply so I hope this does not double post. Amy what you are doing with swagbucks is you are going to their homepage http://www.swagbucks.com and in the search box you type in various words, phrases, websites, etc… that you may be interested in. If it is a winner then the results page will say Congratulations you have won (how many ever you won) swagbucks across the top of the page. So the people that have won using hip2save.com have typed that into the search box. You do not go to other webpages looking for swagbucks icons or anything. The only time you do that is when there is a swaghunt for a swagcode going on. Go read the FAQ’s as they can be very helpful and/or check out http://www.tattooastronomy.com for some great tutorials and tips. HTH

I tried to find out myself, but it seems like I have to sign up first before they will give me that information, and I don’t want to sign up unless I can get something I will be able to use. Thanks.

I was able to see what they had…I didn’t look at the top of the page, duh! I don’t like the gift card selection because most of them are e-cards, and I don’t order from the web, unless it’s a freebie:) I might give it a try, so at least Collin will get the credit for it…I’m sure I can find something to get with my points.
Yeah, I was after the Target one until I noticed that it was an e-card. I was thinking of getting my husband a John Elway football card (hubby is HUGE fan) but now I think I might do that idea about all the amazon cards and saving them for Christmas. Good luck ๐
I usually get the Amazon cards and use them on Kindle books for the Kindle for PC. It gets me a free book or two each month but I’m not having to pay shipping on anything. ๐

You’ll wanna go in and read/skim the blogs on the home page of swagbucks.com. Many many times I have found one in there. Especially during baseball season and football season. It seems whoever writes those blogs give codes out when their favorite team is doing good. lol
And download the toolbar and pay attention to the box “from TSG” every now and then they put a code in there. ๐
I subscribe to the ShoppingFrugal blog https://www.shoppingfrugal.net/ and they give updates on ALL the available Swag codes as soon as they’re available. It’s the best source for code updates I’ve found. You’re not allowed to post a Swag code, but she gives instructions on where to find them.
I searched for Hip2Save and got nothing… Am I doing something wrong? I am logged in and then go to the search page. Also, how do I save to favorites? Do I save to my IE favorites from the SB page? Or is there a favorites list on the SB home page? I just signed up yesterday and having trouble figuring out the site…. I did do the special offers, became a FB fan as well as sign up for the newsletter, but don’t know what to do after that. Thanks for any help!!
amanda in the search box type hip2save, when it comes up right click the page and scroll down to add to favorites… it will save it in your IE favs. you are on your way!! btw when you get the newsletter the code will be allll the way at the bottom.. i missed it for a while. hth ๐

No wonder I got 4 swagbucks today on my first search- because it is megaswagbucks day. The most I have gotten was 5 for one search. I’m patiently waiting for the day when I get 10.

Ok I have read that things in the blog in quotation marks are codes, is that right? If so do you enter them with the quotation marks?
No you do not enter the quotation marks. Just copy and paste what is in between them, as the codes are case sensitive. it will usually be a word or two followed by random letters and numbers and looks like it makes no sense. They do this because they now change the code for each person so you can not share.
Have you noticed on the swagbucks home page they have an hourly winner for 5 swagbucks? I just noticed it. I wonder if I have ever been a winner and didn’t know it? ๐
you would know if you were the winner because you get notified. its not just that you are posted on the site and have to claim it. So whenever you do win even 1 SB your name is on the site as a winnre for a brief time.

Does Swagbucks mess up your computer or draw in virsuses? I have a new computer and I’m nervous about installing a toolbar on it.
We searched about that and couldn’t find record of anyone having any problems.
just becareful with the wall of special offers…i’ve been on the swagbucks facebook and some people have been mentioning that they fear the wall offers may contain viruses or spyware, because they could not complete the offers, unless there spyware was shut off..like always, just watch what you click on.
Kelly you will be fine. Swagbucks does not have any issues with viruses etc… it is very safe, but the other posters are right, stay away from the special offers they are spyware magnets. (that comes from the promoters not swagbucks). If you are real nervous about it do not install the toolbar. You only get a few codes on it anyway. TSG ran a bunch when it was first launched but it has not had a lot since….. so if you are really nervous about it just go to the swagbucks home page just like you would any other website and just participate in the searches.

LOVE swagbucks. I have so much money for amazon. ALso, there is mypoints.com This is a really cool site & you can easily get giftcards for searches too. You only need 30 searches per month to get 75 points. Plus they send emails daily & if you just click on the email you get 5 points. I have been at it for over 6 months & have well over 5735 points. More tthan enough for a 50.00 gift card to some of my favorite places. You can print coupons through them & you get 10 points for each coupon you use. It is a must to check out.

Hi Kelly I’ve actually had my swagbucks account since august 2009. I love their toolbar! My favorite is the button to check for new emails. I set up 4 emails to be checked and when I want to open an email account I just click on the button – for my hotmail account it automatically logs in, no more typing passwords for me. ๐

I love using my swagbucks for the $10 Starbucks gift cards! Check out the ‘Ways to Earn’…there are some that are free or trial offers and you can get the swagbucks but cancel in time so that your credit card isn’t charged.
Also, I’m pretty sure the way they award swagbucks for searches is random. You could search the same thing all day long and all of a sudden you receive a SB. One thing I noticed though is that a non-specific search usually elicits more SB’s than a specific one (i.e. fun things to do in Colorado vs. Hotmail.)

I have had Swagbucks for at least a year now and have found that, without fail, if I search twice in a row for different things I always get at least one Swagbuck! It’s completely random, having nothing to do with your search. I have been frustrated with the rate at which I’m accruing “Bucks”, so I went into the offers section and found one for a game site that offers a 7-day free trial, no charge, and I got 110 Swagbucks within an hour just for signing up! Best thing I’ve done so far! I almost have enough to get a $25 Starbucks card! Woot!
Question: Do you have to download the toolbar to get the searching bucks? I got an alert from my computer when I tried to download it, so I cancelled the download.
Also, Collin, how does this company know to give you credit for my account when there is no spot to fill in to let them know that you referred me?

Iยve been doing swagbucks for about a year and I thought I should warn everyone about overusing the swagbuck search; they can and do close accounts when they suspect someone is searching for the sole purpose of wining swagbucks. You can get away with for weeks or even months and then out of the blue your account is closed.
Also, you are only allowed one account per IP address so be careful not to log into your account if you are using someone elseยs PC if they have a swagbuck account also, or vise versa. I had a friend clam a swagbuck he won with his account while on my laptop and they closed his account with that reason.
a good way to find out when swagbuck codes have been released is to check swagbuck’s facebook page. when you see fans posting ‘thanks tsg’ you know to check your swidget. people also give hints on where to find the codes.if you want to know how to post your swidget on your facebook page you can look under the discussion tab on swagbucks facebook page. it is also good to open a twitter account, because tsg sometimes posts codes there. hth

I have tried this twice now and still do not ever get a page with a code on it. I have skipped all the offers and then it just takes me back to a LOGIN to SwagBucks page. I don’t think I will like this very much if I have to fight with it daily. Doesn’t quite seem worth it if I get nothing for my fight!! Anyone have suggestions for me would be great. I think you have to take one offer you can’t just skip em all.

I skip ALL of them and still get a code. You don’t have to accept any offers.
Try logging out, then back in. Once you find the code, you have to actually copy 7 paste it to the code box. It doesn’t automatically credit.
Kathy, you do not have to do any offers, but what I think you may be doing wrong (as I have done several times before when I am not paying attention) is I have skipped through the wrong offers. When you click on the special offers, got to the right hand upper corner and it will say no obligation offers in a blue box. Click on that and then skip through those offers (about 7 pages or so) and at the end it will give you a swagcode that you can copy and paste and then enter in the code box on the home page or under my account. HTH
Alright, what if you have a filter on your computer (like I do)? I can’t really use the search engine, unless I type in a full website like http://www.hip2save.com

We have Safe Eyes too and I think (I could be wrong), but there is a place you type in allowable sites so that you don’t get an error message from Safe Eyes.
