    Collin-

I haven’t been able to check your blog lately so I have been playing catch up. I have been laughing SO hard at your videos. Those lemons in the background kill me. You are so funny. I really appreciate all your hard work you do. Without your blog I wouldn’t be able to get some of the deals I do. I know it takes alot of time, so thank you very much!

I was at Target a couple days ago and saw that there were coupon peelies on Huggies Diapers for $1.00 off Huggies Wipes. I was excited because that is a high value coupon, but when I opened it I was even MORE excited because it was a TARGET coupon!!! I had $1.00 off manufacturer coupons from the Vons/Pavillions booklets that were out a few weeks ago, so I scored tons of Huggies wipes for only $0.39 a container!!! I know there are $0.75 off coupons that a lot of you have, and maybe some of you even snagged up the coupon booklets from Vons, so make sure to look around at your target for the awesome peelies and grab some really cheap wipes!

    • Aleisha

Ooooh thank you!! I am going today I think! I have MORE of these coupons! When I did this run with the hairspray I had 5 coupons, and all the game deals that Collin had posted and then some…I walked out spending $0.84 because of the overage of other items rolling into these deals!! $50 worth of stuff! Woo hoo! Collin rocks!

  3. Sophie

I love to hear you gusy get overage. My Target never does.. Oh well.. The deal is good enough.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I love Target, but not when using coupons. I hold my breath every time I try to use coupons. I would say over half of the time they hassle me, call a manager then say well …”we will take them this time.” UGH.. What does that mean?? they think they should not and are doing something corporate says is wrong or just harassing me.

      • Anon

you know, they always let me use them. They do act weird though. Like yesterday, the guy tried to tell me that I had more items than coupons. Nope, I had 6 trial size baby shampoos and 6 coupons, and 4 baby lotions and 4 coupons. Then he laughed a little and said…snottily might I add…”Do you think when they make this coupon they expect people to buy the trial size?” I just said “I don’t know.” What I was thinking….Of course they expect people are going to buy the trial size. If they didn’t or didn’t want you to they would exclude it, like everyone else, like they do on other coupons. It is their option. Do you really think that in all the years coupons have existed NO ONE at Johnson’s has figured out that people buy trial sizes with those coupons? REALLY? Come on!! If they issued, at the least 100,000 coupons they are committing to giving up (if everyone redeems them) $108,000 (coupon value+.08 cents). Do you really think the giant Johnson’s company DOESN’T know what they are doing?? I don’t think so. They have a goal, to get you to try the product, get hooked on it, and be willing to pay any price for it. Target has a goal, to get you in the store, buy the cheap stuff, and then buy everything else you need. I can’t believe none of these cashiers realize ANY of this! Just accept the darned coupon and get over it! YOU’RE not losing anything.

Hey…someone say this to one of the cashiers next time lol!! Then come back and tell me what they said:P

  4. Karen

I have never had issues with overage at my Target until today! I had many coupons for $1 off baby products which I always use to buy the $.97 trial size products. Today they would not do it at all. She kept claiming they got new computers. I use these coupons every week at least and never had issues! I was very bummed so I put them all back. Alos, my target did not have the same prices others had quoted so many of the deals weren’t that great when it came down to it! I guess that’s part of living in a tourist destination, higher prices!!

    • Dee

I have the call a supervisor over and ask them to roll the coupon down to the price. Even when a clerk doesn’t think they can I have never had a supervisor not do it.

  5. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have a $2.50 on 2, still a good deal, thanks Collin for making us aware that it does not exclude trial size. Lets just hope I dont get the cashier coupon nazi… :-)~

  6. marissa

what stores allow overage?? does anyone know??

    • Lynne W

You are not allowed to get overage in some states such as CA due to tax laws.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Actually i’m in Ca and i get overage all the time. I’ve never heard of this tax law before, interesting. I’ve only had a problem one time at Target, all the rest of the time they press K1 and push it on through!!!

    • Christy B.

I get overage at both Target and Walmart (in California).

  7. heidi

I could not find this dove coupon on my red plum – I used several zip codes including 90210. any ideas how to get this?

    • bonnie79

heidi- when colin said red plum she was talking about the red plum insert in 1/31 (jan 31st) sunday paper. If you don’t have that coupon insert in you stash…then i think the only other way is to buy them off e-bay or something.. (if that’s how you roll…)
      good luck 🙂

    • Aleisha

I’m 97140 and it was in my Sunday paper

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The coupon I have in the RP is $1.50 off, but on the pic. it shows shampoo/cond. Does this aply to hairspray also?

    • Aleisha

Yep! It says ANY Dove hair product! I have already used 5!!

  9. Couponing4myTacoma

The only Q I can find is a $2.50/2 Dove hair care products. Doesn’t exclude trial… so I’m guessing this was a regional difference. I should still be able to score free Dove!!!!

  10. Craig

I wonder if this $2.50/2 will work? Would they give you the overage? I assume like WG, you just have to buy some other items to get it then. I would assume they would look at this q. and the products amt. and say, NO WAY. Hmmmmmn???

    • Craig

Awesome day today! This q. in question for $2.50/2 for this deal worked!!! (for me at least!). I also did the Olay Body Wash Hot deal Collin mentioned and bought 4 of these Dove hair spray travel size bottles so this way I had amt way over just these bottles and the overage it produced (2 2.50/1 qs, @99c per item = $$1.02 overage) that went towards the other items I got! NO BEEPS, NOTHING! I also got 2 free pennies too. How’s that you ask?: The body wash, was $5.49 and the bottle, when the cashier pulled it out to check the price tag said 5.50 on it, so .02c more in overage! Hey every bit counts right? LOL!!!

  11. Erin Fisher

I really doubt my location is going to give overage because today I used the $1 off for the .97 J and J baby shampoo and they would not even take the coupon. I caused a stink, the supervisor finally said he would do it. I had a ton of stuff and was not ready to let it down. 3 people it took to do it. Also, I had 4 coupons for the oatmeal, lost 2 somewhere from the aisle to the cashier so my deals did not turn out as great.

  12. Lori

I used my $2.50/2 coupon last night on trial hairsprays that were priced $0.97. I also got single load Tide with a $0.35 coupon and trial size Degree deodorant with a $0.75 coupon. The overage on the Dove hairspray paid the the extra on the other items. My Target sometimes does overage, sometimes refuses. My new cashier theory is (I hope I’m not offending anyone.) young girls with multiple piercings. I usually mention getting out of this yucky weather we’ve been having. Last night’s cashier wanted to go to Europe. 🙂 BTW I also scored big on Sorry, Monopoly, and Scattergories card games with the toy coupons released last week.

  13. Bonnie

This may sound sterio typical but I have found it to be very true. When I go to get in line, I pick the really young female cashiers, they always just K1 my coupons through without a problem, and the younger guys are usually pretty good too. They don’t usually end up being the coupon Nazi’s that some older cashiers can be. I was stuck with an older lady. . .older grouchy lady yesterday and she scrutinized every one of my perfectly legit coupons like I was trying to steal or something. Also gave me a ton of grief over the $4 Rolaids coupons. I even told her to reduce them to the value of the items, but she still refused and when a manager showed up and told her to just put them through, she argued with her about it. Today, on the other hand, I had a younger girl who was so awesome, didn’t change her pace, just kept on truckin’ through the beeps and pushed everything through. It might help some of you all to eye up the cashiers before you check out. Just my two cents.

  14. JessicaB

I got 4 bottles yesterday for FREE!! They were .97×4=3.88 and I had 2/ 2.5 off 2 coupons making them a 1.12 money maker!!! I also got $41 worth of product for $8.22…YEA!

  15. Hope

I live in Lucedale, MS and I did get the $1.50/1 coupon but mine does say “excludes trial size”. Is this different for all states or are the cashiers not recognizing this statement?

    • Jaime

It must be different because the coupons that we got in Maryland don’t say anything about exclusions or trial sizes. I guess you win some and you lose some. 🙂

      • Hope

        Thank you!

  16. Amy

Is there a way to find out local Walmart prices for certain items? I’m in Orange, CT and our store in West Haven, CT rarely has the prices mentioned here and I always end up wasting lot of time. With Wags and CVS I could atleast get my list planned out and also know before hand what I’ll be paying OOP.
I have had the same problem with TargetWalmart. Ours rarely have anything at the sale prices found by others.. 🙁
I posted the same message in the Target deal, hoping to hear from others, Sorry
