Hey! Sorry if this is OT (off topic?) but I was just reading the comments posted under the COMPANY STORE here (about being charged more than what your confirmation was) so I decided to call them. The CS person told me the same thing, that the coupon was not supposed to be used for clearance items. I said, “Then it is the fault of your website for accepting it in the first place. Not mine.” She said she’d send me a return label to ship it back to them for at no cost to me, but I would not be reimbursed the cost of them shipping the item to me (5.95). Needless to say I asked to speak to a supervisor. I told him what she told me and he confirmed what she said. My order was for $6.95 and they were going to charge me $26.95 (even though my confrmation email from them said $6.95). Funny thing is, I had placed another order (clearance item) that he said took the $20.00. I mean…what the heck is that about???!!!???? So since it hadn’t left the warehouse yet, I had them cancel the order that wouldn’t take off the $20.00. And now that I’m typing this, I think that I’ll call and have them cancel the other order! Screw me once, shame on you! Screw me twice….shame on ME!! No more orders from that place for sure! OK….sorry if I rambled on and on. This post doesn’t belong here, because it’s not from the same place as this item. I just wanted to vent. Plus…is there a “general” posting place somewhere on this website? Thanks for any heads-up. As for this post, I just wanted to add that, though the quality is not as good I’m sure, I found a panini maker, food processor, and a neck massager, all on clearance for $6.25 each at CVS the other day. I would have never known about them if one of the employees had not have been on the phone with her mom telling her about the sale! lol. They were regular about $25 each, 75% off.
Nicole: Long story, but short version is (when I called back to speak to another supervisor) that they are shipping both orders (2 packages) and I am going to refuse it and have it returned to the sender. They will be crediting my credit card AND he said he will also credit my shipping cost! I just held my cool and spoke softly and it worked. I would have really loved to have the items, but it really ticked me off that they would have the NERVE to charge me more than what was confirmed in my email. Never shopping on that website AGAIN! Was a sweet deal though…..darn!
I have this panini grill. I don’t make a lot of paninis, but I grill chicken on it. It’s super fast and they taste great.
