Yay! To celebrate Earth Day, Baggu Bags is offering up FREE shipping on ANY order! Just use coupon code earth10 at checkout! Baggu Bags sells very colorful and very cute (I must say!) reusable bags. They are on the expensive side, however, I have heard nothing but positive things about these bags. They are washable, hold the contents of 2-3 plastic grocery bags, and are very durable! You can score one bag for $8 shipped, 3, 4, or 5 bags for $7.50 each, or the best deal– 6 or more bags for just $6.50 each. I purchased 6 bags for a total of $39 shipped!

If you own a few Baggu Bags, I’d love to hear your feedback!

(Thanks, Megan!)

Off topic, but Collin (and everyone else!) I just got an email from Dollar General saying they now accept internet coupons! Even had a link to coupons.com!

    • Rhonda W.

      awesome:)

  2. CRISTAL

BIG TIME EXPENSIVE (but cute) ! I’ll stick to the bags I have now! Thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Eeek, yeah, I agree. Cute, but not in my budget.

    • Anna Wibalda

I agree! 3/$1 walgreens bags are about all I can afford on my budget! LOl

You can make these so easily by turning an old tanktop inside out and sewing a seam across the bottom. Turn right side out, and you’ve got your washable, durable, roomy bag. My daughter has been making and using these long before “green” was in style.

    • Colleen

huh…that is interesting..I have not ever seen that done…we always have old tanks…thanks for the tip.

    • Jennifer

      That’s a great idea!

    • Lisa

AWESOME idea and even more green than buying a re-usable bag!!! I LOVE IT!!

One can go get a few clearance tee’s and make these!!! I think that’s what I’ll do! I like their concept but it’s a tad pricey for “my” budget. And what a great project to do with your kids. Add a few flowers or other adornment for personalization!!!

    • Jessica

Uh huh! I was just looking at the bag thinking, “Man, that looks like a tank top with the bottom sewn shut!”

    • Heather

Thanks for sharing the great idea! Sounds like a fun project for me and the kids.

I know they’re pricey, but I have some and I think they’re totally worth it. Most bags you get from the stores are not washable and with the meats and occasional spills….that makes a huge difference to me. Also, they each come in a little pouch….I put all 3 of mine in 1 pouch and keep them in my purse, so I NEVER forget them at home….and have them on those unexpected trips to the store. Since I can wash them, I use them for mall shopping and everything. The grocery store bags are cheap, but since these are so portable, it really holds me accountable and I almost never waste a plastic bag anymore. 🙂

I rec’d these as a gift from my very GREEN relative. LOVE them. I, too, keep them in my purse for all sorts of uses. I am PROUD to be helping in my own little way. I have purchased them over and over again. Sturdy, washable. Thanks for this as I will be buying more for gifts.

  6. ChristineK

I agree. These bags are awesome!! They hold alot more than the plastic bags and are much
easier to stash in your purse than the free or cheap store bags. They are perfect for Target and drugstore runs. Occasionally, you can get a deal on them at baguu.com or reusablebags.com if they are running a clearance or sale. That’s how I have scored affordable (to me) Baggus 😉

  7. Michelle

I have 3 and I love them. They hold a TON of groceries. They smash to a tiny size. They are super easy to wash. They are very cute! 😉

  8. Lisa

I got some similar to these from Bath and Body Works. They fold up into a REALLY tiny pouch. Not sure the difference in quality, but mine were $2 each and got them on a free shipping day. They came in tons of colors, too. I’ll have to check these out. THANK YOU!

    • Dawn

I looked at these bags online and they are really cute. I think I will get me some of these. I hope they sell them in store. Going by there on my lunch break.

  9. Boo Boo

I got one of the Big Bags in Smoke to use as a carryall diaper bag/purse/camera bag when I leave the house. Instead of having 3 little bags. Holds up to 50 lbs! I’ve been looking for a bag that can hold a LOT of stuff.

  10. Adrienne

    they are sellingout quick

  11. Jenna

So cute! I got some 🙂 Can’t wait to used them. Thanks Collin!

Reusablebags.com is having a similar deal today, but a little less expensive. You get a free Eco-Circle Ultra-Compact Tote bag, but have to pay shipping. You don’t have to buy anything else though. I believe shipping is $4.95. You have to put in the code EDAYFREE at checkout.

  13. Alysia

I just ordered 6! My splurge of the month i’d say tho. I’m just tired of my UGLY walmart reusables that are gross and wont fold up at all. The selling point on these is that they are washable. Does anyone get a hard time from cashiers when you bring your reuasble bags? I almost always get the *sigh* and annoyed look when I have mine.

    • Lisa

Just at Walmart. I handed one bag over to a cashier and they didn’t know what it was. It was one of the bigger ones that fold and snap shut.

  14. Rzatki

I have used Baggu bags for the past couple of years. They are great. Unlike the bags you get at the grocery store, they have not ripped, are machine washable, and so portable, I always have one in my purse. They are also great to take on vacation. No more plastic shopping bags.

  15. Tina

too pricy for me.. as for the meats and things I ask that they put them in plastic THEN into my bags to prevent and thing getting on my bags… have a lot of different ones from varous places.. but I dont take my walgreens bags in CVS..lol that would be just weird… I have some from the bank, from the grocery stores. and some I got from hubby giving blood..

    • Rachael

the point of the reuseable bags is to use less plastic, doesn’t make any difference if you put it in plastic first then into your bag!

  16. Amy

My sister gave me about 6 of them as a Christmas present one year and I love them! They hold twice as much as every other bag that I have and they fold up neatly into little pouches that I can take anywhere. And I use them for more than just grocery shopping too – they’re great for over night bags or day bags too!

Well worth the cost in my opinion!

  17. Kasey

Just ordered 6! Can’t wait to use them.

  18. Alexandria

I bought these about a year ago– I love them!! Yes, they’re expensive, but they’ve held up much better than the reusable bags you get for $1 at the grocery store. Plus way cuter!

  19. JessicaB

That is really not that expensive I was looking at some the other day over $20, they were foldable and had a carrying case, but still these are cuter and only $8 bucks! 🙂
