I thought Dollar General didn’t accept internet coupons?

    • A.Marie

I’m not sure about your area, Collin, but I’m from Central IL and I was told that it was “corporate policy” not to accept online printables. But, thanks for this coupon link, because I am going to print it out anyway and use it at Walmart. 🙂

      • Elizabeth

I heard a week or 2 ago that DG changed their policy and they now accept printable coupons

      • Deborah Cunningham

FYI—This is straight from their website:

        Q. What is Dollar General’s coupon policy?
        A. Dollar General is pleased to accept Manufacturer’s Coupons and Dollar General Store Coupons at any of our more than 8,700 stores. These coupons come from a variety of sources, including, but not limited to, newspapers, magazines, print-at-home (internet), direct mail, product packaging, and in-store coupon boxes. Click here for more details.

AND…they have a section on their site where you can print coupons….

I would go and print this out and try your coupons at your store!!! GOOD LUCK

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

A.Marie, I got an email recently from Dollar General stating that they now accept internet coupons (I’m in central IL too and on their emailing list) I wish I saved it so I could quote it for you but definately double check with your Dollar General!

      • Regina Clark

I recently received an email from Dollar General that they now accept internet printables so you may want to check with corporate.

  2. CJ

The coupon policy on DG’s website says “Dollar General is pleased to accept Manufacturer’s Coupons and Dollar General Store Coupons at any of our more than 8,700 stores. These coupons come from a variety of sources, including, but not limited to, newspapers, magazines, print-at-home (internet), direct mail, product packaging, and in-store coupon boxes.” I think taking internet coupons is a recent change.

  3. jessica

the coupon said limit one coupon per purchase on product shown only can you use both at the same time?

    • Margie

it’s one per purchase (one per item) not one per transaction

      • Regina Clark

I went today and the computer will not let you get the free deal if you use 2 coupons. The manager was pretty cool and experimented to see what would work and it would not accept the coupon for the free item. Still i got both for $1.14. So I just grabbed 2 more and used the other coupon for a total of 4 bottles for $2.28.

So strange–I tried printing the Glass Plus coupons, and twice it told me they were printing and they didn’t. I printed from e-centives last week, so I know it’s not an aversion to my Mac. So I tried my husband’s PC, and the coupon isn’t even there. I guess it reached its print limit?

    • Polly

same thing here Erin. Maybe it’s a mac thing??

    • Collay

Definitely a Mac thing…no prints here either :(.

      • Craig

IDK if this helps, but when that comes up (on a non Mac lol), it took a bit before it would print out, so maybe ya got to just hold tight for a minute or two like we do.??? HTH

Flip side, Sweet! 2 for free!! Another great deal!!!
FYI you can get the paper cheap too. Our price is $2. At DG its $1.50!!!

        • Erin

OK–I’m an idiot (in so many ways today!). Must be a Mac thing. I logged in using my info on my husband’s PC, and the coupon was no longer there, so I thought it had reached its print limit. So I go to Dollar General, which turned out to be Dollar *Tree*. Using trusty GPS, I went six miles out of my way for dog treats that I almost missed on an endcap because they were these tiny sample-size looking four pack of treats. Oh well, free is . . . twenty cents tax, plus five for literacy training, plus gas. When I get home, I get back on here to warn everyone that the treats are only a four pack . . . but it was listed in deal and I somehow missed it. I read the comments and no one else mentioned the Glass Plus coupon reaching its limit, so I check my husband’s PC. Still no coupon. Then it occurs to me that it seemed to think it printed on my Mac, so maybe I couldn’t log in under my name on his computer. So I logged in the coupon site using hubby’s info and it’s there! I’m going back to bed. . . .

  5. KellyJ

    sweeet! ty

  6. Angie

I printed the coupons. I had to fill out a form then it went to the coupon page and I selected the one’s I wanted.

  7. tiffany

This, along with the others, are great coupons. Thanks for posting this.

  8. Kerry

just returned from Dollar General…at first cashier said that they could not take internet coupons..I had a copy of their corporate policy and everything worked great…
    3 dentastix dog treats
    2 glass plus
    2 a1 steak sauce
    2 lance crackers…….
.66 out of pocket….savings $15.83 I was pretty happy with that! Thank you!!!

    • Olivia Smith

      Awesome deal! 🙂

    • Julie

oh was there A1 coupons recently somewhere? I need some!

    • Sheri Strathman

Where are the A1 steak sauce coupons????I know I saw them somewhere????

  9. Rachael

I am SO excited to hear that Dollar General is now (maybe) accepting internet coupons!!! There is one cashier there who is SO nice, we always talk about my hunt for deals! I might have to head over there today! 🙂

    • Craig

lol! maybe. to be safe, print off the policy and bring it with you!! as Collin says.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Mine wouldn’t print either.

  11. mels

i can’t find the dentastix dog treats coupon from all you magazine, did anybody find them? what page? thanks!

    • Erin

I believe it was the gatefold on the front cover.

    • Amy

It is in the March All You not April.

  12. Olivia Smith

Went and got the three items listed above today and didn’t have a problem using coupons!! 🙂 Thanks, Collin!

  13. Andria

Just got back from DG, got four bottles of the Glass Plus and paid $.40!!!! They took my printed coupons with no problem 🙂

  14. terry

did anyone find where the dentasix coupon for dogs is? i think my eyes are going!

  15. Collay

LOL…of course I get the manager who doesn’t know the difference between “one per purchase” and “one per transaction/day”. Lovely! And I’m told that the district manager will back her up on it as she has told her the same before. Just peachy.

  16. A.Marie

Wa-Hoo!! Thank you to all of you awesome Collin readers who let me know about DG’s printable coupon policy. I’m going to call and double check with my smalltown’s DG and hopefully (keeping my fingers crossed) they’ll accept them!! I really appreciate all of the help! 🙂

  17. Nicole

YAY I went and bought my free Glass Plus today!!!!

  18. Barbara

Our Dollar General said that corporate has stopped all the DG stores from taking computer generated coupons. They do take the ones from the paper though. Does anyone have a Dollar General that will take computer generated coupons????

  19. Barbara

I had typed the previous comment earlier, but my computer froze and it didn’t go out. I will check their policy and print it out to make a trip there this week. Thanks.

  20. Kelly K

I sent an email to Collin a few weeks ago about Dollar General now accepting IP’s. You can go to their website and print a copy of the new policy. I used them for the first time today for the glass cleaner, and had no issue at all. Took them and nevever questioned or refused.

  21. Amanda

I was able to get both the window cleaner and Dentastix for free yesterday. Thanks so much!

  22. Jennifer S

Here is the coupon policy for DG they do accept internet coupons now as of 04-08-10 so you might want to take a copy with you to your DG.

    https://www.dollargeneral.com/OurStores/Pages/CouponPolicy.aspx

I only found one Dentastix yesterday at my DG. Ugh! Gonna make another trip later this week.

    • Erin

Took the policy in with the Glass Plus coupons. The cashier and manager were super nice, but said they could only accept IPs that have Dollar General logos on them (?!?!?). The manager called a couple people to check and said she couldn’t take it because it didn’t “meet the requirements” listed on the policy. Fine. She was really nice, and I actually hadn’t read the policy, so I thought it was open to interpretation. (Now that I read it, I see she was sooo wrong! It just has to meet the requirements listed in the policy–which it did–not her requirements! LOL.) Anyway, my GPS sent me a home a different way, and I just so happened to pass another DG, so I stopped, and they took the coupons with no problem. I felt kinda bad, though. There was a woman in front of me who though she was overcharged on her store brand glass cleaner. She bought one and they were buy one, get one 50 percent off. I shoulda given her one of mine. Although I guess I hadn’t yet checked out, so they weren’t technically mine.

  23. Sarah

Went to pick up free window cleaner and dog treats and stopped to check out Easter clearance. They only had a few things, but i got a 3- 2-pks of Eastet Basket bags for .10 each. These are great bags to put around any gift basket, graduation, Mother’s day, etc!!!

  24. Christi

    Ok guys~

Your going to have to straighten me out on the Glass Plus deal I’m confused on how I’m going to take 2 bottles up to the register, and then use 2- $1/1 coupons then I will get them both for free? To me it looks like I would be using both $1 coupons on the bottle that isn’t free, and I didn’t think that would be allowed. Am I just making this harder than it’s supposed to be 🙁

Thank you all for your time!

    • Heather W

I was wondering the same thing. Most of the stores in my area won’t take a coupon for a free item.

  25. Michelle

Thanks for the info on the Dentastix. I went and got 6 of them yesterday.

  26. Sandy_Shoes

I got my free Glass Plus yesterday, but they didn’t have the Dentastix (:-() I really wanted those, because a good friend of mine just got a brand new puppy yesterday and I wanted to surprise him today.
