  1. Carrie

Thanks for posting these so early! I believe for the Scrubbing Bubbles scenario, you will also need to use the free 2 in 1 starter or refill with purchase of the toilet gel coupon. Thanks for all you do, Collin!

  2. Laurie W

Walgreens is one of my favorite places to shop. Thanks for all the great info!

  3. Marci

Why did they have to have such a great week on a holiday? I was really hoping to get a break, but these are some great deals!

  4. CJ

There’s a limit of 2 per household on the Cortaid rebate. Anyone know if the 2 can be purchased together on one receipt and mailed together? Or do they have to be purchased separately and mailed separately?

    • Jeana

Only 2 per household in Rhode Island, I think.

  5. Anna

i could only find the $1/2 kellogs on redplum, not $1.50/2.

  6. mary

how do you use a $1 coupon for an item that is 99 cents, like the aqua fresh for kids? I tried and they could not make it go through. Thank you.

    • Hooked On Bargain$

For the Aquafresh, you have to hand over the $1 mfg coupon FIRST and then hand over the $.99 in-store ad coupon to avoid the beepage and you’ll get the $.01 overage!

    • bonnie

At my walgreens, I ask the cashier to ask the manger. He says it’s ok to adjust it down. But I know different stores follow different rules. My Walgreen isn’t very coupon friendly and they do it no problem, so I would give it a try. My cashiers don’t like when I hold my store coupons till last. But that’ll work too 🙂

    • Daphne

I never have a problem with the item being lower than the coupon when there is an in ad coupon involved. It doesn’t even matter which coupon I hand them first. Yea!

      • Belinda

at my walgreens the cashiers has the in ad coupons at the register. today i went to get the little swimmers before the sale went off and she scanned the coupon, then i gave her my mf coupon, which of course beeped, but she made it go through. so i got the little swimmers for 3.50 which they are regularly 9.99 everywhere.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They can adjust price of the item up to $1.00 to make sure the coupon goes through. I went through this several weeks ago. They told me they could not adjust the value of the coupon, but could adjust the price of the item so I could use it. Hope this helps!

      • L. Hadsall

My walgreens told me that they couldn’t adjust the coupon and that doing so was fraud. So I went to our other walgreens. The manager said the same thing about the coupon but then tried to adjust the price of the item to $1.00. It didn’t work either 🙁 I ended up buying both items at $.99 for their trouble, just to keep my couponer/cashier relationship happy

  7. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Mary it is up to the store to adjust the $1.00 to .99- sometimes they will do this

  8. Tiffany

I have 3 of the bogo Biore coupons. To use them all, would I need to serparate them into 3 different transactions or could I just do one transaction & still get the RR for each deal (totaling 15 RR’s)?

    • fran

You have to separate your transactions. Walgreens works differently than CVS. After you do your first transaction, you will receive your $5.00 RR, but you will NOT be able to use that $5.00 RR on your 2nd transaction to purchase a “like” item. If you do use it, you will not recieve the next RR.

      • Tiffany

        Thank you! 🙂

  9. Kathie M

Does anyone know if this ad is the same for those of us in the test market for the new Walgreens card? I know we will no longer have any store coupons in the KC area starting in June so I didn’t know if the sales would be the same. Thanks!

    • Sarah Faith

It’s the same ad… I went to iheartwags.com and both ads look the same- just the one in the test area says the sale prices are “with card”

      • Kathie M

Thanks! I didn’t know about that site. I’ll check it out next time I have a Walgreens question.

  10. Michele

    thank you!!

fyi, the Coppertone link is now printing a $1/1 coupon…

  11. Kendra B

    Yay. Another good week.

  12. Sarah Faith

I can’t wait until tomorrow! Thanks Collin!

  13. Lisa C.

That Kodak scenario won’t work as the IVC coupon is for a 2-pk of the powerflash 🙁

  14. Craig

Let me just say, Happy Memorial Weekend to all! Hope you have a great one!

Now on this deal here i/e:
    Luster White 7 Toothpaste 2.6 oz. $5 = $5 RR
    Final Cost FREE!

If you use a $5 RR are you sure you will get one back? I swear I didnt awhile ago on a similar even match deal.

    • Gina

You will not get it back if you use the $5 RR from the luster to buy another luster. When Collin posts “Luster White 7 Toothpaste 2.6 oz. $5 = $5 RR Final Cost FREE!” you DO NOT use the luster RR to go and buy more luster. If you do, the RR will not print. If it does print there is a glitch and that is known as ‘rolling’. So it is LIKE getting it for free, but in reality you have to PAY $5 THEN you GET $5 back. I hope this helps!

      • Craig

Yeah, that much I do know. Im talking about using a $5 RR from say…Ironman cream from last week to roll it onto this one.?? Will you get the $5 RR. I thought in my case that time since it was the EXACT same amt. they didnt give it out. This is what I wonder.

        • Donna

If you didn’t get one on a previous deal, it might have been that you used a RR from the same company. I think some times that can affect it. But otherwise you should have no problem getting the RR.

    • Melinda P

There is an extremely high possibility that you might not get the $5 RR if you use another totally unrelated, from another deal $5 RR. If that ever happens I just ask to talk to the manager, explain what happened, and they can usually get you your RR. I’ve also had the same thing happen when I was trying to use a $5 manufacturer’s coupon from the Sunday paper to get an item that was supposed to produce a $5 RR. Didn’t print when I used the coupon, but when the manager rang it up like a normal sale without a coupon, the RR printed. He then handed me the RR and said sorry about that! 🙂

      • Donna

I have never had that happen…and I’ve rolled tons of RR into other RR generating products.

  15. Sarah

Stores are slowly converting to a new look, where the shelves are shorter and they carry less inventory. This is starting to roll out in my area. The store that just completed this has put a bunch of stuff on clearance. I found Garnier shampoo and conditioner on clearance for $1.59 each and coppertone suntan lotion for 2.54 (of course, I added my coupons to these purchases).

  16. Stevie

So the Kotex coupons expire tomorrow but we can still use the coupon on the day it expires??

    • Rochelle

Yes you can use them on the day they expire but not after.

  17. Vikcy

How do I print the online coupon for Tic Tac?

    • fran

I think you need to maximize the page, and hit the print button on your toolbar…I don’t think you can print just the one coupon, so you will have to print all 3.

  18. Hilgee

Use 2 $1/1 Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Gel coupons from the 5/16 SS
Help! I can’t find this coupon. I get two copies of the SS every week and it’s not in my 5/16.

    • fran

It might be regional. There have been times when Collin posts where a coupon is, and we didn’t get in my area.

  19. Amber

On the Nivea deal, won’t the 2nd Q beep? If so, I am not going to try that one. I never push my luck with any that beep even though my store is great!

    • OiOi

Amber you can use a $3.00/1 and a $1.00/1 Nivea for Men body wash coupons if you do not want to mess with beepage or overage. You will pay 99 cents but that is still a great deal. 🙂

    • Rochelle

I did not have any problem/beepage bc the $4.99 for the free bottle comes off at the end of the receipt so the coupon can come off just fine before that. I did this deal 5x today and it worked fine each time.

  20. Tiffany

I just got back from Walgreens… Used 3 bogo biore coupons for the Monthly RR deal & separated the transactions, but never got a $5 RR back on ANY of them! The cashier was very nice but seemed to not know much about couponing. I was so disappointed b/c I don’t know what happened–that was the only reason I used those coupons there instead of
Wal-Mart. It seems like something goes wrong every time I try to got out & take advantage of coupon deals. And to make it worse, I offered to let the guy behind me go first but he acted like he didn’t care to, so I went ahead. Then while talking on the phone to someone, he complained that it was taking a long time to check out. I presume the person on the other end asked why b/c he said very loudly, “Coupons!”. I chuckled thinking he was making a joke, but when I looked at him, his face was beat red & he looked really mad. I swear, I only had 3 very small transactions & the cashier was really quick. Some people are so impatient–it’s not like a drive-thru! I’m sorry to vent, but it’s frustrating when you plan your trip & do everything right only to have it not go very well & then people behind you are mean. Each time before I go, I have to psych myself up & say, “It will go better this time.”

    • fran

That’s a shame Tiffany. Did they say why you didn’t get the RR?

    • ali

Is the RR deal for the new month starting tomorrow (Sunday?) If so, then that is why the RR didn’t print. I found at Wags that the sale prices (i.e 2/$5 or BOGO sales) and the in-ad coupons all begin on Saturdays, but anything that generates a RR won’t start until Sunday. Hope this helps! 🙂

      • Tiffany

Oh, no! I thought it was for the calendar month of May–didn’t realize it would be a new month for the rewards deals starting tomorrow. Oh, well, one more mistake I can learn from… Thanks readers for listening & your help clarifying! 🙂 I’m determined to be a successful couponer so I can save my family money. Now, if I can just get my skin to thicken up a bit more for those grumpy customers who need to take a chill pill…

        • OiOi

You gave that guy a chance to go before you, it is his problem that he did not take you up on your thoughtful offer. Some people just love to whine so don’t let them distract/ruin your shopping trip ♥

          • Tiffany

Went back today to take advantage of the U by Kotex deal & then went on to the grocery store & got $25.00 worth of groceries for $9.26 (trying to start with small trips)! Everything went great & just as planned at both stores–I feel so accomplished today! Used my free philadelphia cream cheese minis coupon on a package that my store put a $1.00 off meat coupon on, so I bought some bacon on sale for $2.00–bacon for $1.00?! 🙂 yay! I’m starting to learn how to catch those peelies!

        • fran

Don’t mind me. I know that after 5:00 PM Saturday, CVS has the next weeks prices in their system, but not Walgreens. Can you tell I don’t shop at Walgreens?

    • Julie S.

It probably didn’t print because the deals are for this current week, not Saturday.

    • Kathryn

I’ve made a lot of mistakes and/or things don’t go as planned many many times……and I feel the same way you do. It is very frustrating, BUT don’t give up! There will be times you get amazing deals and turn it all around.
And don’t worry about that guy behind you…..that’s his problem. Be confident (even if you are just faking it like me!) and nice and if they still act that way, too bad for them.

    • Amber J

No it has nothing to do with the day you did the purchase, it is because you used the BOGO coupon same thing happened to me tonight and the cashier could not get the RR to print so he printed out a form for me to send off with my reciept hope I get my $5 I am like you that was the only reason I bought the stuff!!! Some how when the free item came off the computer doesnt think you purchased 2 Biore items so you dont get the RR

I don’t understand the tic tac deal–aren’t they still 50 cents each, not 25? How does showing that they are .99 each take off a dollar?

    • Katie

The in ad q makes them $.99 instead of $1.49 so since you’re buying 2 of them it takes off $1 ($.50 for each one). The B1G1 free q takes off $1.49 so your total is $.49/2 or $.25 each.

  22. fran

Would you ladies/men please read my comment on the Gillette post…thanks.

  23. ali

Just a reminder that this is a great week to buy the 4 bags of Hersheys candy to get the free movie ticket:
Buy 4 bags of Kisses, PB, Cups, etc 4/$10
    use the $1/3 bags coupon
    pay $9
get $5 RR , and submit for free movie ticket on Hersheys.com
OOP is $4 for 4 bags of candy and a movie ticket. 🙂

    • Barbie

Those bags are not the right size for the promotion. They need to be 10 oz and all of them are about 9.2.

      • ali

oops…i didn’t catch that and i already bought them (and already munched on a couple.) 🙁

  24. Tara

If I buy 2 chex mix and use a .50/2 coupon, can I use a RR too? Does the manufacturers coupon attach to both or would my coupon to item ratio be ok?

    • fran

You’d need a filler item to attach to your RR.

    • john

You should be fine since you have 2 items and 1 coupon. that leaves 1 item to attach your RR too, though I hope it is a low value unless you have other items in the order.

  25. Terah

I am pretty new to all of this …. I just have a question about the monthly register rewards. Do they start tomorrow when the new weekly ad starts? Just wondering if I can purchase those items on Sunday or do I need to come back on Tuesday to get the monthly rewards??? Thanks for the help 🙂

    • fran

June RRs run from 5/30 – 6/26, so they start tomorrow.

      • fran

That would be today EST…Sunday, but I’m sure you knew what I meant 🙂

    • Terah

      Thank you!

  26. Angie

I don’t know if anyone mentioned this yet or if it’s regional or what, but I just got back from my Walgreens in NM and with every box of U kotex I bought I got a $2.50 RR and a coupon for a FREE box of Kotex pad up to $5! That was a nice little surprise!

    • Sally

I got a $2.50 RR and a coupon for a FREE box of Always pad up to 18 count $3.50.

    • Sarah

When I bought the Kotex, I got a coupon for a free box of Always liners valued up to $5. Yeah!

    • OiOi

      I got one too 😀

  27. Leighann

Hello everyone…I have a question about the Kodak Camera deal. This is what the post says:
Kodak One-Time Use PowerFlash Camera $5.99, use $5/1 coupon from the June Coupon Book. I didn’t find the coupon in the book am I just missing it? I did find a Walgreens Photo Waterproof One-Time-Use Camera 27 exp. Limit 2 Sale Sun. 5/30 thru Sat. 6/5/10 for $5.99. This is a coupon from the printable ones that are out. I am so confused. Any help would be appreciated. Have a super holiday everyone. Thank you.

    • Angie

My walgreens didn’t have any coupon books either!

    • john

The coupon books are behind the register. They have already been delivered to the stores. Mine had the May ones still out and I asked if they had the new ones yet and explained that the coupons in those expired yesterday 5/29/2010. They apologized and explained they had not put out the new books because they said June on them and it is still May and they did not realize they had expired. The cashier pulled out the shrink wrapped bundle of new ones and gave me three of the June ones.

I was after the Kodak Camera deal, but as previously stated in another post, the $5 off coupon in the June booklet is for the 54 exp 2 pack priced at $19.99, not the 27 exp 1 pack on sale for $5.99 down from $10.99.

    • john

I also believe that Collin pulled the deal from the post as I no longer see it listed.

  28. Barbie

I went to Wag’s this morning and couldn’t believe all the bargains I came home with.

I LOVE the John Frieda deal!!

I’ll be going back throughout the week to pick up more great deals!

  29. Sarah

When I bought the Edys ice-cream, the Catalina machine printed out an ad saying that if you bought $12 worth of the following items (Haagen-Dazs Ice cream or bars; Edys products; Edys fruit bars; Dibs frozen snacks; Nestle Drumstick cones; Eskimo pie bars; The Skinny Cow treats) then you get back a $4 coupon at check-out. Wish I had known this before I did my transaction! But thought others would be interested if you are planning to buy ice-cream. If you bought 4 cartons of Edy’s and used 2- $1.50/2 coupons then your price (after getting the $4 coupon) would only be $1.25 per carton! This is good from 5/30 to 6/12.

  30. Moms Thrifty Deals

If you need another Ecotrin coupon there is one in the May Safeway coupon book $2 off any 1 – it is a mnf. coupons so it can be used at Walgreens –

  31. Moms Thrifty Deals

I forgot to add that it does expire 5/31

  32. Bridget

Can I do all the free after RR in one transactions…and still get all the RR back?

  33. margaret

fyi…got back from Walgreens this morning. At least at my Walgreens (don’t know if this is a regional thing or not–NW Houston) but the online Ecotrin coupon did not print any RR. The manager said it would not (and he could not –ha!, yeah right) because I had used a coupon for the same item. I did the same thing with the Kotex and it printed the RR but he said it is indiscriminate. At any rate, not sure if it was the manager who keyed in something to keep that RR from printing this week at that store with that coupon or a national thing that Ecotrin did but the online coupon will not work as a moneymaker. Still free tylenol.

    • Rochelle

I used 10 of the printed Ecotrin coupons today at 3 different stores and all the RR’s printed fine. (10 different transactions of course!)

    • Sheila

Margaret, sounds like the catalina/rr machine wasn’t working? Do a google search for “catalina Marketing” to find their phone number and give them a call – they may be able to mail them to you…

    • Kelly

email coupon@catalinamarketing.com and they will respond and tell you all of then info they need and then they will mail you the catalina you didn’t receive. I’ve done this several times when I didn’t have cats print!

  34. Rochelle

For a total Out of Pocket $8.91 I got:
    3 – Reach floss
    2 – Wags Vitamins (filler)
    13 – Ecotrin asprin
    7 – U Kotex products
2 – Always liners (free coupon from the Kotex transactions)
    10 – Nivea Body Wash
    2 – Aquafresh Kids toothpaste
3 – Yardley bar soap (filler)
4 – clearance notepads for 60 cents each (filler)
    1 – $1 hairspray (filler)
Used a total of $18 RR from previous week and from this week’s Wags vitamins. I was having a hard time getting my total high enough to use the RR from last week.
Got back $43.50 RR to use for next week
It was a good week for me at Wags! Hope there are some good thing to roll my RR into next week!

    • Rochelle

actually it was 3 free Always liners! And also got 4 $150 off Playtex coupons.

    • Kathryn

      WOW!!

  35. Tara

CHEX MIX 8.75 OZ WAS 1.99 AT MY STORE IN OHIO TODAY. COULD NOT FIND THE .99 PRICE IN THE AD OR JUNE BOOKLET.

  36. margie

At my walgreens, the monthly june kodak coupon is for the 2 pack or sport, not the $5.99 kodak camera

  37. topchief2

I’d look closely at the Luster toothpaste, it doesn’t have any active anticavity ingredients like all the other regular toothpastes have. Keep that in mind.

  38. Lisa S.

I went to Wags after lunch today to grab a few things and was very disappointed to see the Wags vitamins were gone already. A nice elderly lady was also disappointed. My young daughter was looking with me and noticed a hidden box of them behind some other vitamins. Not a big thing…I let the other lady have it. So we started looking and found 9 boxes hidden!! Seriously!!! Same thing with the Luster toothpaste. I am a tall lady and the Luster was on the top shelf so it is already hard to see. Somone had pushed the remaining tubes behind some other products! I know the manager well and he told me they have seen it happen before and they are going to try to stop it. I just can not get over how greedy some people are!! Wow….

  39. Amy

Went today and when I went to hand over my coupons, some of them printed from the internet, the cashier told me they were not allowed to take internet coupons anymore, because of issues with fraudulent coupons, and this just started a couple of weeks ago. She was very nice and didn’t mind at all me doing multiple transactions, and even pulled a coupon out for an item I found on clearance (I told her I had it my car, but she pulled one out for me). So with her being so polite…made me think she was being honest, and she did seem like she was very well versed at dealing with coupons. I was at a store that I normally don’t go to in a different state…could this just be a store by store policy?? So frustrating….

  40. jaime

OK…i brag to my boyfriend, but i cant help not bragging about this! haha
I just went today and got the following:

    1 (20 oz…for the trip lol) Diet coke $1.39
1 23.3 oz of metamucil on clearance for $3.37 for the cats i foster lol
1 puffs plus lotion for .99–used a $1 off coupon-i think it was from vocalpoint a while back-so free!
    1 renuzit crystal ruby-use $2 off wags q, and a 3 off MQ, paid 1.99
2 Scunci assorted bags of hair ties, $2 each, $4 in total
    1 kotex for $3.49used $1 off Q

    2 Aquafresh @ $.99 with in ad Q, used 2 $1/1 Qs-2 for free!!!
    3-Neutrogena face soaps @2.99-8.97 total
    1-ecotrin, used $2 off q-FREE
1Cortaid-got a free mail in rebate form
    1 Luster toothpaste @ $5
    4 palmolive @ .99used (1) .75 off, used (2) 50c off, (1) 25c off-paid $2
    1 Rejuvicare @ 9.99
1 Dove body mist on clearance for $1.19!! Used $1 off Q, paid .19
(UGH….i just saw he charged me for two of them!! dangit)
After tax it came out to $33, i got back $29.50 in RR!!, a free q for an always product and a $3 cortaid MIR.
Then i got a waffle maker on clearance for $2.49, the 3 coke 12 packs for 3/12, with a $5 RR, used a free always product and did another kotex deal.
Total was $23, used $19 in RRs and got back $7.50 in RR and another coupon for an always product!!!!<3

    • ali

wow! don’t you love how you spent more on the diet coke than anything else! 🙂 i love walgreens….

  41. AM

So i went to walgreens and asked to go 3 transactions for the ecotrin. As the rewards were printing, this cashier turn to me an says “just so you know you can only use one reward per person per day, these rewards are getting absoluetly ridiculous and time consuming for us”
i politely took my rewards and left.

Seriously, is this economy shouldn’t you be happy to have a job!!! So what that they are time consuming, they bring clients in and so you can have a job!!!!! all other companies are laying people off!!! errr made me so mad

    • Lisa S.

Our manager here told me that some stores are starting that policy due to certain people cleaning out shelves in one day. I know some stores have signs posted that state you can only do 1 RR deal per product per day.

  42. laurielou

Combos are .99 today and tomorrow. There’s a $1/2 in the All You June issue making them .50. My husband loves these he’s excited.

    • Melinda

Oooo….We love Combos here too. Thanks for the tip! I’m going to dig for the coupon right now 🙂

  43. Jenn

I am new to using coupons and trying to figure out all the rules etc. Yesterday I was able to do a few of the deals successfully at Walgreens-tampons, and Neutragena soap but when I went to use the coupon on for this deal
J & J Floss 55 yds., Reach Crystal Clean Toothbrush or Listerine 3.2 oz. $0.99
Use the $1/1 Reach Toothbrush from the 4/11 RP or 5/16 RP or from here
    Final Cost FREE!
the cashier said they couldn’t take the coupon because the item was .99. Should I go back and try again or is this just their policy? I don’t want to make a big deal about it if they can’t accept the coupon, like I said I am new to this whole process and am starting with small purchases.

    • Linda

They should be able to adjust the coupon value down to $.99. More often than not, my Walgreens will just take the coupon at face value, especially if I have other items in my order. You might want to check out Collin’s page about Walgreens (https://hip2save.com/store-guides/walgreens) so you can stack manufacturer and Walgreens coupons.
Sometimes cashiers will treat you like you’re dumb and don’t know the rules. When this happens, and I know I’m within my rights as a consumer, I will ask for a manager, or go up to the customer service counter. I’m friends with many of my Walgreens cashiers, and they know that I get the absolute best deals out there. Don’t be scared off by them- know your rights, and be kind towards them. They’re probably just jealous that you’re getting such awesome deals. I’ll often tell people about hip2save, and they’re usually super excited about saving money.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had that issue also. The cashier said “there is no way i can accept that, the system won’t let me” Well I had that happened in that same store before and the supervisor said yes you can bring the coupon down to the value. So i told the lady that and she paged a supervisor. He didn’t know what to do so I explained again what was done before and he said “ohh yeah that makes sense” and enterted it in

    • L. Hadsall

I went to two different walgreens and they both told me that they couldn’t adjust the coupon because it was fraud (both managers that I talked to) One offered to adjust the price of the item up to $1.oo but it wouldn’t take it that way either. I ended up taking both items at $.99 for their trouble and to keep my relationship with the cashier nice. If anyone has any ideas of how to make it work I still have my coupons

  44. Hollie

I wish I would had known that those crazy Walgreens coupon books expired yesterday instead of the last of the month. I would have gone and got the Off clip on deals yesterday.

  45. ali

anyone who got the free first aid case with the purchase of 3 band-aid/neosporin previously should find a $4/2 cortaid coupon in it…didn’t someone say you could do the cortaid rebate 2 times per household? if they could be on the same receipt then you could use the coupon and turn it into a $4 MM.

  46. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So I heard that walgreens is going to have a card just liek cvs. You better stock up on stuff before they limit RR to one per household with card.
