Janette, a reader, recently emailed to let us know about a very sweet deal she scored at Target! She was able to find the DVD Hook on a price cut for $4.75. Now I’m sure you’re thinking– what’s so sweet about that?! Well, on the DVD was a sticker attached valid for a FREE $10 e-Movie Ticket to see The Karate Kid in theatres starting 6/11!

To redeem the free movie ticket, be sure to enter the e-Movie Cash Code located on the back of the promotional sticker here; each code is valid for 1 e-Movie Cash ticket UP TO $10 for theatrical showings of THE KARATE KID at participating theaters. Note: Each code is valid until 8/15/10, and your e-Movie Cash printed ticket is valid until 8/31/10. If you do not have a participating theater within 30 miles, you can contact Customer Service at tpgcustomer@tpgnydotcom. For more details about this offer, check out the FAQs page found here.

..So basically you’re paying a total of $4.75 for the Hook DVD and a movie ticket to see The Karate Kid in theatres! That seems like a very sweet deal to me!!

If you’re able to score this deal, let us know! …AND if you find another participating FREE e-Movie cash DVD that’s not too expensive, please share!

If anyone finds this deal, could you share if the movie cash is only for this movie?
When I received the one for spot shot (cloudy with a chance of meatballs), the certificate
allowed you to use it for another movie if the intended movie was no longer at the theater.

    thanks.

My Movie place would not let me see another movie but I would say it would once again depend on the person checking you in.

I work at a movie theatre and usually if you ask to speak with a manager and explain the situation to them they should go ahead and take it. YMMV but you can always promise to buy concessions which is where we really make our money to encourage them. 🙂 lol. That’s still money in the bank for the theatre! HTH 🙂

while I don’t know the answer for sure, I can almost say that it would be able to be used for any other movie. Considering they never know how long a movie is going to be in theaters, it doesn’t make sense to limit the offering to just the one movie “just in case”. Pretty good deal, though. Too bad we already own Hook.

I bought Jumanji a few weeks ago for 4.75 at Target, and it included the free movie ticket to Karate Kid also! We are headed out on a long road trip, and I might have to pick up Hook for my boys to watch, plus get another free movie ticket!

I have a question about the “print this post link”. Will it just print the blog post, or will it print photos and comments also?

Off topic, but has anyone had trouble redeeming two Toy Story free movie tickets through their Disney Movie Rewards accound? I was able to redeem mine for the Toy Story 1 code, but not Toy Story 2- Help!

I had the same problem and called the help number on their website. They told me that only one ticket could be redeemed per account. Give them a call and they will help you out. May have to set up a second account.

My local Fred Meyer had the old Karate Kid movies for 7.99 ea. I bought 4 of them to get our free movie tickets. That’s a cheap trip to the movies for us and they can watch all the previous movies. We are doing several movies this year on free tickets! I’m loving it!
