We didn’t get these in Iowa 🙁

  2. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Nice! Now I’m gonna have to go home and clip coupons again before heading out to Walgreens tonight, heh.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Doh, walmart, not walgreens >_< nevermind

  3. Nancy

Good luck with getting any overage at Walmart. My store never lets me use a coupon that allows for overage.

    • Lisa

      Same here.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My closest Wal-mart won’t even let me use coupons that are over the amount of the product! I tried to use a $1 off Reach product today on the $.97 floss, and she wouldn’t let me use it because it beeped! Ugh!!!! Wal-mart is getting soooo strict on its coupon issues, that I think I just may start doing my shopping at Target. So far, they are better with couponing!

    • Sara

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing. My 2 walmarts don’t usually even let me use the coupon to buy the item because they think I matched it up wrong–they don’t understand that you can adjust a coupon down.

    • esther

yup, same here with my Walmart. The cashier commented that I used a $1 coupon on a 84 cents item, like why am i so cheap even using a coupon on a 84 cents item. I asked for the manager because she wouldn’t take the coupon. I waited 5 minutes still no manager came, she just stood there and turned on her blinking light and told the people behind me saying it’s going to take awhile, and then the people behind me look at me weird. Walmart is so not good with training their employees in accepting coupons!

      • Danielle

I am glad our walmart is EXCELENT with coupons, they are the only store in town! if there is overage the set it as a vendor Q and adjust it down, no biggie still free product. I once had a cashier who was so excited that I saved over $100 with coupons, she said she had never seen anyone use so many Q’s in one order 🙂

  4. Tabitha

It says “up to $4” I’ve tried this before & they wouldn’t accept it & when you read it that is what it says so they would only take off $2.64 since the coupon is saying it will take up to $4…is that not correct??

    • kimberley

Yeah, this particular coupon will not give overage, it beeps to be adjusted down.

Otherwise Walmart’s policy is to take coupons and not to modify them down, people who are having problems with this should call customer service.

  5. Shelly G.

My walmart does not allow overage, their policy is to adjust the coupon down, which is still better then my local target. They wont let me use any coupons that give overage.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You shouldn’t have this problem….it clearly states in Targets policy : “Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.”

      https://www.target.com/b/?node=2223357011

You need to print this out and take it with you next time….I love my target. Better than Walmart usually. Shocked you are having this trouble,,,HTH

    • esther

my target has issues with using coupons that is higher than the item price also. I even printed out the policy and said I called the customer service, still the managers there give me hard time. I hate going to target and walmart!

  6. Barbara

My Walmart won’t accept this coupon. They say it is trial size. I have tried it twice. 🙁

    • Rhonda

me too.. I have tried several times and they tell me these are trial sizes and won’t let me use them either.. ugghh.. Target the same way NO OVERAGE!

    • Erin

A three pack is trial size? That’s interesting. What would they say if you gave them two single rolls? A super-trial size?

I always save these Qs for WalMart. They beep, but the cashiers look at the products and push them right through.

Maybe you should try it anyway. See if the letter-writing campaign did any good.

  7. Sheryl @ Cents'Able Shoppin!

Here in AZ our Rolaids are more expensive, and so it’s not a MM. Even more, Wal Mart won’t allow overage, even with the Pampers, they wont allow it. 🙁 For those that get overage, call yourselves blessed.

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Our Walmart upgraded their registers so that they now automatically adjust the coupon down to the price of the item. Even though you don’t get overage, it is nice because they don’t give you a hard time anymore if the coupon is over the amount…so still a win in my book!

  9. Kelly

i always have issues with these coupons and have to ask for a manager.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

At my Target the 3 roll pack is $1.82. So I’ll try there.

  11. Missy

maybe buy 3 packs at $3.96 & that way you can get 3 packs free???? just a thought

    • Rachel

That is a good idea especially ones that adjust the coupons down!

It depends on my cashier for overage. I know which ones to get that allow overage because they are always excited about my total 😉

  12. sdshaw

You can also use that coupon at CVS this week, if your stores don’t accept overage. The Rolaids soft chews are 3.99 with 4 ECB back, so you buy two pay 3.99, get back $4.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I used $4/2 rolaids Q’s at Target last night and got 10 or 12 packs for free! Stopped at Walmart after that and they were all out of them so apparently they were taking the coupon. I got 6 packs of free pampers wipes there. The coupons kept beeping and my cashier could not figure out why. So she counts the packs and then counts the six q’s….mutters something about hating her job and puts them through! whewww… I was debating whether I should tell her that it was because they only cost. 1.97 but was afraid she would not take the q’s then!

  14. Nikki

I went to target and found the gilette razors on clearance for $2.48 and used the $4 off coupon from 6/6. The register automatically reduced the coupon down to $2.48.. no beeping or anything. I was hoping it would slide through like it has for me in the past and gotten overage. But they must have upgraded their registers!!! 🙁

    • Erin

That stinks! I always was able to get overage at Target.

  15. Agnes

I think it also depends on the cashier, here in IL I got 5 Papmers wipes at Walmart yesterday and those were 1.97 and coupon for $2 and I didn’t get any problems overage 3 cents on each box… it went trough, so I guess it all depends on the cashier too..
I’ve never bought Rolaids but I will try, if it wirks great if not I will eventualy leave those off and try TARGET.
    Thanks for the tip

  16. Heather

Ive read the coupon policy and it does not say anything about adjusting down or overages. How do you handle a situation where the cashier will not take coupons that are over the product amount? Im asking because my Wal Mart will not take a $1 coupon for a .99 cent product. Help!

  17. Angelique

Are these coupons going to produce the dreaded see journal? If I remember correctly, last time the q’s were coded for the immodium.

  18. Sheri

The Walmart I shop at won’t take any coupons over the item amount. Tried to buy a scotch scrub sponge the other day. They were 87 cents and the Q was for 1.00. They wouldn’t take the Q so I told them I would find the product elsewhere. I asked why the couldn’t adjust the Q down, and the cashier said that she didn’t know why. She asked one of the managers and she said that they weren’t allowed.

    • esther

i have the same problem, except we waited for 5 minutes for the manager to come, still no one came, so I left without buying it.

  19. Cashier Heather

I agree that walmart isn’t teaching our cashiers as well as they could be. I brought it up at the last meeting, and I argued “would you rather give a customer a few pennies or lose a customer over them?” and our store manager agreed…but recently I went to another store closer to my house and was told that they no longer accept BOGO online coupons…I immediately phoned for the store manager, and he didn’t know the policy either!!! Suffice it to say, I went nowhere until he found out. They allowed it, but the people behind me were upset at having to wait. Oh well…tough stuff( I actually asked the couple behind me getting huffy “If you dropped a five dollar bill would you stop to pick it up?…well, she’s got close to $5.00 of my money..and i’m not leaving til I get it…didn’t make me any friends, but they understood my point)…I saved my $4.00 and I went home happy..and they are now in the know…

  20. Danielle

these Q’s were not in my RP here in Missouri 🙁 I really really wanted this deal!
