I haven’t paid for a rental in weeks!!!! My ironing is sooo backed up because I’m watching a movie every night!!! Still using the 4-5 codes Collin gave out a few weeks ago!!!!(My three cards and my hubbies 3 cards adds up to a lot of movies!!) Thanks for the free entertainment!!! Sorry for all the exclamation points!!!! LOL

Hey ~ you know what I do? I move my ironing board to the living room and iron in front of the tv when I have ironing to do and want to watch something on the tube, as well. Works well for me. 🙂

Rule #1 – No ironing during movies. Period.
Rule #2 – Watch movie while eating free cookies (Oreos) and free Popcorn!
Free movie, free snack, no ironing ……..Priceless!

Do you have to return these the next day like you would a Redbox?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Same as Redbox. I THINK it’s the same time as well.

I just got back from getting one for the first time. It had me put my e-mail into the system and I got an email receipt saying it was due back tomorrow night by 9:00. The machine says not to put the movie back into it, so I’m not quite sure what to do with it. It does have a number on the sleeve to call when you are finished though…

While these codes are great, I had a bad experience with Blockbuster Express. I rented a movie using a code, returned it on time, and got charged anyway. I emailed them at the address given on the bottom of the receipts and got no reply. When I called to question the charge, I could not get a person on the phone. I ended up having to call my credit card company since I could not resolve this issue with Blockbuster. Just wanted to give everyone a warning to check and be sure charges don’t remain on your account.

When you can get through to someone on the phone, they patch you to a call center in India with a thick accented gentleman that I could not understand! I know someone who works at one of the stores and she says upper management is becoming so aggressive that they are threatening to fire people over not being able to make their company set “goal” every week. Her boss told her to make the customer say “no” 3 times before you stop pressuring them for a sell! All that pressure for a minimum wage job-No Thanks-

I totallly agree. I’ve had legit coupons and it almost always has charged my card! I’m done with blockbuster and only using redbox!

For those wondering about still being charged, even after using a code- FEAR NOT!

I just got off the phone with customer service (1-877-300-2128) and spoke to a kind woman, with a Southern accent (not Indian!) and was told that Blockbuster puts a “pending” charge for $1.01 until the movie has been returned, because that is how they track the rental. When the movie has been returned on time, the “pending” charge will go back into your account within 3-5 days… making the rental FREE!

    I hope that helps everyone!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I fully understand the pending charge process, but I email blockbuster about several charges that went through using free codes (they gave me previously for a charge rather than refunding me in which i accepted) on my account all over more than a week ago and they still emailed me back explaining the pending charge process and to give it 3 to 5 days for the charge to disappear in which they should have noted the charge dates I gave them and assume that there is a problem here and that they need to refund me my monies. They gave me the number to call, but I’m thinking they will need to be reported to the better business bureau here soon.

Dude…it’s a buck to rent them.
