Through Monday, July 5th, at 9PM, Old Navy locations across the country are partnering with Operation Care and Comfort via The Red Cross to collect supplies for the U.S. troops overseas. Make a donation to this very worthy cause and receive 10% off your entire purchase! You can snag the 10% discount by purchasing and donating something as simple as a pair of the solid flip flops on sale for a $1 tomorrow. In addition, Old Navy will be offering a “Buy One, Send One” special on Old Navy’s famous Flag Tees. For every purchase of an Old Navy Flag Tee purchased in-store through July 5th, Old Navy will send one to troops overseas, up to 500,000. Note: You do NOT have to purchase an Old Navy item to qualify for the 10% discount…you can donate toothpaste, deodorant, gum, trail mix etc. For a complete list of items needed for donation, click here.

Check out the Old Navy Facebook page here or the press release here for more information.

I’m going to Old Navy tomorrow and will definitely bring something to donate.
Do you know if I can use a $50 off $100 coupon on top of this 10% discount?

Our Old Navy in south FL today was offering a 10% discount to the parents of children that did a coloring page for the troops that old navy provided right there and would send off over seas. Hopefully most stores are doing that because it helped teach my kids an important message and helped me save a few dollars too!

My husband is Active Army and has been deployed twice. They all appreciate these donations and words of encouragement. You would be amazed at how many of them receive not a single care package or Birthday card from even their family the entire time. Its really sad. The cards and pictures are the best. It lets them know that someone back in the states is appreciative of their service and the sacrifices of leaving their family for months on end in order to get the mission accomplished.

Thanks for posting this! I’m going to be near there today so it’s simply a matter of gathering up a bunch of stuff and taking it with! I hope lots of people take advantage of this chance to help out!

Never mind. My store didn’t want anything to do with any donations other than their clothes. I wasn’t even looking for a coupon, just wanted to help out. Oh well. I have a huge bag of stuff ready to go. 🙁

I was at ON today and surprisingly there was no wait (and barely anyone there at 9:15). I was disappointed though to hear that at least our ON is only collecting clothing items for the troops…I was ready to hand over some of my surplus toiletries =( Guess I’ll have to see if another organization is doing something similar for the troops! God bless them for all that they do for our country!
