Okay…I received the thong and started getting e-mail ads. The first one was for B1G1F “LEGALIZE GAY” t-shirts. I immediately unsubscribed.

I don’t think she was “airing hate.” She merely stated what the deal was and that she wasn’t comfortable with it. Geez!
I agree; thinking something is wrong and not wanting to be a part of it doesn’t mean you hate the people who are engaged in it. If you think it’s wrong, then it’s love to say it’s wrong!

I agree about the hate thing. I don’t think that was necessary to add how she unsubscribed RIGHT AWAY after the word “gay” was mentioned. I, however, own two Legalize Gay shirts and love them to pieces!

I actually received my thong and it said “legalize gay” on it in real big letters in front and I wasn’t thrilled, especially cuz most people said they got cute colorful ones. I actually threw it away the second I opened it, NOT because it made a gay reference, but because it is such a bold statement that just will not appeal to everyone, I just dont want my undies saying that lol! I wrote the company and told them that I was disappointed in their freebie, and how that is waaaayyy too taste specific (and offensive to some people even) to send out as a promotion to represent their company because it sends out a bad message to some people… but no one ever replied to me of course! Regardless though, I signed up for the free bra… lol I just hope this one is cute and colorful 😛

I ordered a medium, I don’t remember numbers being on there, I got a 2 and it fits perfectly! Maybe a smidgeee too big, but not noticeable!

I received my thong today… it was light beige and said “Legalize Gay”. I called and asked for a different one to be shipped – the customer service rep said that was the core message of the company, however she appologized for the misunderstanding. So beware, your bra might say something like that too!

Who cares if it was free? I could see how some could see that as inappropriate or shocking. Why do some people have nothing better to do but pick on others?

You people really need to take about 60 seconds and find out what it is that you are signing up for and what you are getting free. It doesn’t take a P.I to know or find out about American Apparel’s political/social beliefs and how that is reflected in their marketing ads and clothing.

They send an email to you and then you go there to select the size, they range from sizes 1-3 and you can check the chart there. They didn’t have a big enough size for me LOL hope you have better luck!
I just did and there was a small drop down box to select size 1,2, or 3 (there was also a link to see how those sizes correspond). I think size 3 fit 8/10 size with C cup.
Well the size thong they sent me was way too small and not what I requested and unfortunately the sizes available for the bras are too small for my girls LOL. I did order it though for a friend of mine so she can at least benefit from it!

I think the biggest was a size, 3 that covered up to a 36-38 C, now I forget exactly what it said but they did show on the list that they make size 4’s, but it’s not available on the drop down as an option!

Ok, I just read all of the comments and just wanted to add my two cents. First of all, this is not a political or religious blog site, it is a coupon blog site. We are all here to save some money to help our families, and that unites us with a common cause. It is not unreasonable for someone to be shocked to receive undies with a “legalize gays” theme on them when they are not expecting it. Also, it is not unreasonable for a supporter of the movement to fully legalize gay marriage to wish everyone agreed with them. Let’s just get back to what we all came here to do, and that is save $$$. We deal with enough crap from unfriendly cashiers, managers, customers, etc, so let’s not turn on each other. 🙂

I think you should register with them a new e-mail. I did the same addy with the one for thong, and no e-mail link from them. Then I registered with a different addy, then they sent me a link right away.Try your different addy!
I got the thong, it was blue, looked cute, I ordered the large and got a size 4. Never in a million years will I be able to wear this. It is 4 sizes too small!!! I I am terrified to try their bras.
