Just a note. Bought it, when I went to go look at my voucher, it says I can’t use it until August 19th. That will give me some time to decide who is getting a book for Christmas 🙂

so you could order the free book from the first deal, plus other items, and leave enough extra for shipping, and end up paying nothing (minus the 25$ from the groupon) ? right?

Just so you know when I downloaded this program it put a really bad virus on my computer. It might not have happened to everyone but I noticed it last time that someone said the same thing. I ignored their comment and downloaded it anyway. Good thing my hub and it a computer engineer! He traced the virus back to Pickaboo and had to wipe our whole computer. He said this could have easily coasted 200-500 dollars to get fixed at a computer store! We had to reset every single password to every single account on our computer! PLEASE BEWARE!

Can you get this deal even if your not from the Oklahoma City area?

    • KP

I was wondering the same thing- anyone know?

  5. Pam

Hey, I wonder if this is where our virus has come. What was the name of the virus? We’ve had so many problems we’re preparing to wipe everything out also. What a huge problem and inconvenience this has been!!!!!

FYI if you’re not a 1st time user, you can get 30% off all classic leather photo books through August 31. The coupon code is LEATHER.

As for viruses, I used this website a few months ago for my wedding guestbook, and I haven’t had any problems. I’m not wanting to get the great mac vs. pc debate started, but I wonder if I was ok b/c I use a mac.

    • Kelly T

Actually, that is exactly why you are OK. There is no virus, adware, spyware, etc that is written for the Mac operating system. Nothing how you never have to buy any protection software or set up a firewall? It’s because you don’t have to. Download to your heart’s content. Your computer will block everything that’s dangerous.

I don’t know about that difference, but I’m telling you, this has been the worst virus we’ve ever had. We’ve run everything and it won’t get rid of it. We know have another on top of it. My husband is just about done with anything on the computer with coupons, etc, with all the viruses we’ve been picking up. I’d love to know exactly where they came from so I can just eliminate those sources.

I’ve used Picaboo for three years, every year at Christmas to make yearly books for the grandparents. I’ve never had any trouble with viruses from it. And, the books are great! So, THANK YOU for sharing this deal! It will make my Christmas books so much cheaper for me this year!! 🙂

I just spoke with a Picaboo service rep about the virus. I mentioned how people were having problems due to their software. The rep was very nice, but said it was impossible. She said she would be very interested hearing from the people who had been having the problems so she could get more details. I encourage anyone who has experienced the problem personally to send them an e-mail. Maybe we can keep this from happening to anyone else! The link to their support center is https://www.picaboo.com/support/contact.html

I;ll definately contact them to let them know. I really wanted to get the Groupon coupon to use with several books. Thanks for the suggestions.

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just downloaded the software last week and I’ve had no problems. I put it on my work PC and my home PC. Set up was simple and no viruses to speak of!

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This makes me very upset. The virus on our computer def came from the Picaboo download. My husband has a bachelors degree in computer science and works for a financial company as a computer engineer. He was able to trace the awful virus back to the Picaboo program. He said that is was probably not the company’s fault. That a hacker had probably hacked into their programs and was messing with things (this is all over my head lol) He asked me to spread the word b/c it is so expensive to get things like this fixed at Best Buy ect. He also said that sometimes the virus scans will pick up on it but for some reason ours didn’t. I would weigh the options of saving $40 dollars on a book vs. spending 300-500 to get your computer fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Kristy

    Hey Sarah,

Did you tell Picaboo about the problem? I spoke with them (I wanted to make sure the problem was taken care of before i downloaded the software) and they are unaware of any viruses and wanted further details in order to solve the problem. You can send an e-mail to their support at Karen@picaboo.com. Thanks for the warning!!

Can I still get this deal? Looked on groupons and cant see it. I’ve never used groupons before
