Are you interested in earning an Amazon.com gift card? Well, besides Swagbucks, I have a way you can do just that!

Viewpoints helps consumers make shopping decisions with the help of reviews from people like you and me. Thru August 31st, Viewpoints is offering up a $10 Amazon.com gift card to the first 10,000 people to write 10 product reviews! What a great way to share your opinion and get rewarded at the same time!

Want to get started?
Go on over to Viewpoints and register
(or login if you are already a member). Click on the “Write a Review” tab. You can then search for a product you’d like to write a review on. You can also go here and scroll through the huge list of categories available.

Once you’ve chosen what product to review, start writing up your review. Keep in mind, to qualify for the Amazon.com gift card, your review needs to be at least 900 characters. Also, make sure to write all 10 reviews by August 31st. However, this offer is only available to the first 10,000, so I would recommend writing your reviews as soon as possible.

If you are one of the first 10,000, a $10 gift card will be emailed to you within 30 days of close of this promotional offer. You can check out all the details here.

So if we do Inbox Dollars, we can’t participate? Or is it only if we do reviews with Inbox Dollars? This is what it says: If you are currently participating in an incented program with a partner (examples: Inbox Dollars, Send Earnings, Mypoints) you are ineligible for an Amazon.com Gift Card because you cannot receive double incentives for the same reviews.

      mypoints gives points for reviews?

  2. Angie

I did my reviews a while back when they had another incentive and never got anything then I read in the very fine print it was only for the first 1000 people.

Agreed. My friend and I both did this immediately after it was posted last time and never got anything. 🙁

Agreed, not worth it. I did the one once where it was $25 gift certificate for restaurants.com and that came – turns out it was one $25 gift certificate off of there, so not the same 😉 But I did a Barnes and Nobel one immediately when they sent me the email and nothing! They never tell you if you’re in the top so many, no way to track it or anything, bit suspicious 😉

Agreed, a total waste of my time. I did over the amount of reviews and it took a lot of time.

Viewpoints is giving me hard time.It keeps saying after I write the review that user can’t be blank and to sign in when I already did.I give up.

    I’ll pass-900 words per review? No time…

    • bfam

So true! I’ve done these before and it definitely takes a hour or two!

    • Katie

It’s only 900 characters, so that includes letters, numbers, and spaces.

    • Shannon

      I think it’s 900 characters, not words.

  5. Lisa

    There’s a fathead decal of Woody on https://kids.woot.com/ for $12.99 plus $5 shipping…

I’m Christmas shopping early today 🙂

  6. Elizabeth

When would they let you know if you were one of the first 10,000? or will they tell people?

  7. Shannon

I don’t quite understand what the incentive is for writing the reviews (other than this sort of promotion). It looks like you’re not paid or save up your points for gift cards or other prizes. So why would I do this?

  8. Serafina

Oh, I just wanted to caution those of you and suggest if you do this, definitely READ the rules. Not all categories are included for reviews for the items. If you type fast, 900 characters is not that bad, but it still will take an hour likely.

Thanks Collin. Just pounded out my 10 reviews. 🙂

For those of you trying to decide whether to do this, make SURE you only write reviews under the categories they list (click on the details link in the last line of Collin’s post). It helps to review things you use a lot. If I pick items I use a lot I can pound out a review in just a few minutes.

I have always gotten my voucher with no problems. You just have to follow all of the rules. 😉

The site is running super slow right now and there are a lot of glitchy things happening, so make sure you check under your account that the review you wrote was actually logged. COPY before you submit, just incase. 🙂

While I have not been fast enough for the voucher in the past, it is worth it to be a member. I have been chosen to review Norton 360 and a Conair Fabric Steamer. Both items were sent to me for free to try. 900 characters equals to only 259 words or so . So while I did not receive a couple of $10 vouchers, I did received products worth a lot more.

I’m truly surprised at the negativity in these comments. I have done this twice, once for a $10 Target e-gift card and once for a $10 Amazon e-gift card. It’s really not that hard to write 900 characters, and they tally it for you so it’s not like you have to sit and count. Last time, I just walked through the house and wrote down things we have that I could review. Easy peasy. Yeah it takes a little time but I do it after the kids are in bed, and my husband works night so I could either sit and watch a movie by myself or make 10 bucks. 🙂

I just wrote my 10 reviews too, so I guess we’ll see. I made sure to only write reviews for the catergories listed in the details section. I found it pretty easy b/c electronics are included so I just reviewed a bunch of Wii and DS games.

  13. Kris

Last time I did this I got my $10 Amazon gift card in the mail so I quickly pounded out ten more reviews, hopefully I get another. Thanks for posting!

    • laura

How quickly did it come? Was it email or snail mail (just so I know where to look)?

      • Sara

They send you a code in your email that you can then apply to your Amazon account. I think they say it can take up to 30 days after the end of the promotion, so by the end of Sept you should have it. i’ve done this twice before and that’s how it’s worked.

  14. Samantha

I did this last time, too and was not one of the first 10,000. I am a fast typer and only submitted reviews in the appropriate categories and it took me about an hour and a half to do ten reviews. =(

  15. Jill

I did my 10 last night so I’m hoping that I was one of the 10,000…..I wish they’d somehow let you know….

  16. Beth

I wrote one this morning that didn’t post. I wish I had saved it. 🙁 I spent a good 25 minutes writing it too!
