YES!! I knew it was a good idea to print that coupon when you first posted it! Oh how I love Publix… I don’t think I’d ever be able to move. haha

  2. danielle

did this deal on saturday….4 things of Feta for nothing…since we don’t get double coupons in Florida, it is exciting to actually get a deal like this for me.

  3. Kyra Kilian

woot woot! I just recently started liking Feta too! thanks!!!

  4. Carrie

Also did this on Saturday and got four Feta for free!!!!!!!! Finally a good deal at Publix!

  5. Liz

As someone who’s loved feta cheese since I was a toddler…I am so jealous!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

why cant ky have a publix! lol this would be so wonderful 🙂

  7. Kari

Sigh!!! If only my closest Publix wasn’t an hour away 🙁

  8. Brandie

I thought it was a good deal too, and in some ways it is, Publix prices buy one get one free as half price each when they are rung up. So when I checked out instead of getting them both for free (with the coupon) I was charged half price for both and then with the coupon she gave me the half price off. I guess what i am trying to say is I got 2 packages of the price of half one normal priced. If there is something I should have said to the cashier please let me know for next time.

If you live in GA, then B1G1 free sales at grocery stores are not so fun. Per GA law, if a grocery store has a B1G1 free sale, then you don’t have to buy both and they ring up at half price. So it’s great for the people who don’t coupon or stock up on sales, but it really stinks for us couponers. I’ve never thought about requesting them to ring it up as a true B1G1, but I’m not sure if the law will let them.

    • Michelle

Only Florida is a true BOGO, the other states have a half price on each item sale.
For those who live in Florida we get one item at full price & the other item for free so BOGO coupons work in our favor.

  9. Wendy

Only works in Florida, where Publix does true BOGO…everywhere else they ring up half price. Still a great deal!

  10. April

My publix said I couldnt use this coupon 🙁

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

how long does feta stay good? Wondering if I should print 2 coupons and get 4 free? But don’t want to get 4 free and have them go to waste..

    • Holly

The feta that I bought today has a March 2011 expiration date, so go stock up!!

      • MichelleA

Mine too!! Some of the flavored ones exp. in Dec 2010, and the reg ones exp. in March 2011!! Plus I was told this CAN be frozen (how well it keeps Im not sure but its worth a shot…its FREE lol)

    • Lana

It keeps very well in the freezer.

      • MichelleA

        Awesome thanks Lana!!!

  12. Jessica

and i thought my 50 cent excederin was a deal! going to stop by today and see if there is any left!

  13. Kelly

I did this same thing with the Pepsi Max BOGO coupon yesterday. 🙂

  14. Gen

    I got 4 free! 🙂

  15. Allison

I love publix!!! Thanks for the heads up 🙂 Off to get some FREE feta today!!!

  16. Erin

Did this on Sat. then ran to Albertsons for eggs and saw they had the 8 oz. feta on sale BOGO, so for anyone who still has an Albertsons around (I’m in Key West, FL) might be worth checking. I don’t go there too often and am hoping I won’t have any problems when I try this tomorrow

  17. TJBuck

My local publix had the cheese but it was a different size and price of 4.59 and they didn’t have the bogo free sale…It was still a great deal to get two for free since this cheese is so good!!! Thanks for posting the coupon connection!!

    • Bear

TJ, i thought the same thing too, when i was looking for it at the cheese section by the deli, but the ones on sale are actually in the dairy section where the kraft/sargento chunk/shredded cheese are. hth. and make sure you get the crumbled kind b/c at my store, the chunk kind was mixed in, but not included.

  18. Rachel

*sigh* i miss publix. my kids do too. weird huh?

    • Robin

I miss my Publix too! I always get my “fix” when we visit family in Georgia and Florida though!!!

  19. Brin

The Athenos is not not free when you use those coupons. Publix marks each item off 50% when they have their buy one get one sales. So, if you have a BOGO and then have a two coupons for BOGO you get one for free and one for $1.45. In other words, one is free and one is another 50% off of the original 50% price.

    • Jennifer

In Florida it is truely a buy one get one free deal. We don’t have the option of buying one item for half price.

    • MichelleA

Brin all Florida Publix’s have TRUE bogo. We pay full price for one item, and the other one rings up 0.00. Therefore we DO get both free!!!

    • Kristen

I ran into the same thing today. It was very frustrating. I think they need change the sale signs to 50% off instead of b1g1 b/c you do not actually get an item free, you just get 2 items at 50% off. Not usually a bad thing but with a b1g1 coupon it’s not worth using the coupon.

  20. kiran

sigh* i dont have publix and i love feta……cheese samosa ( fill feta in spring roll wrap and fry it….oh it is delicious)

    • SUSAN

Oh… That sounds good. Is there a recipe for this?

  21. E

I don’t see this in the flyer…Is this an unadvertised b1g1 deal?

    • Sarah

Yes, this is an unadvertised deal and only valid in FL stores (where the majority of Publix stores are located).

  22. Sara

Awesome!!! My favorite thing in the morning is spinach and Feta eggs! YUMMM

    • Sara

Woohoo! Got 4 free things of Feta. Can it be frozen?

  23. Mandy

Well the great thing about Publix in Alabama is that you don’t have to buy both items to get 1 free…. they just ring up half price. So you still end up paying a little when you use a bogo coupon on a bogo item.

  24. lmiller

I used the BOGO coupon today at Publix – and I ended up paying half price for one package of Feta (total)- I think it was $1.14 for both packages. I didn’t get them for free – but it’s still a great deal for cheese I use all the time and love.

  25. Jessica

I picked these up today. It was my first time using a Bogo coupon on a Bogo sale. I was nervous! (I hate confrontation and am to afraid to speak up sometimes) She had to call the manager over and it took about 10 minutes of waiting before I walked out with my free cheese 🙂 There was also coupon near the Lactaid milk. 2 dollars off and it didnt have a size specification. I tried to get the small carton for 2.19 but the cashier mumbled something about how she wasn’t sure if she could use it, and she put it aside and wasn’t going to put it in. I had to tell her I didn’t want the milk.

  26. Kristina Suzanne Martin

Went to 2 different Publix and both said I had to pay for one to use BOGO coupon. Anyone else encountered this issue? I am waiting for a call from corporate.

    • Jackie

Yes I did today. So mad. I sent an email to corp.

  27. Kristie

Could someone please tell the Publix in Sharpsburg, GA that this coupon is legit? They do NOT accept any BOGO coupons that are printed from the internet. Very frustrating when you can use these at one store and not another. I didn’t know if anyone else has had this problem at their Publix.
