anyone know how much for shipping?

    • Kathryn Gibson

      I think it is $2.99

  2. Cheng

cant we ship it to the nearest store and save on the S and H?

    • Kari

That is what I would think, but for a deal I was trying to get earlier (forgot what it was) it wouldn’t let you choose ship to store. I figured maybe it was because of certain items they can’t guarantee the be done within an hour, or some stores just aren’t capable of doing it? I don’t know. It’s beyond my common sense to figure out. So they may or may not allow you to do that for this deal. Have to wait and see.

What in the world is a PURSE photo book??

    • Rose

My guess is its probably a small brag book, that fits nicely inside your purse LOL

      • Kari

I think you are right lol

When I go to Walgreens page it says 2days deal is 50% off calenders. I don’t see anything about a photo book ๐Ÿ™

The quality of Walgreens photo products is terrible..just fyi.

I won’t be wasting my time making something only to be disappointed again!

A few years ago I would totally agree, I went down to Busch Gardens and was taking pictures of my family etc. My grandma wanted the photos too so I went to Walgreens to make copies and for some bizarre reason every picture had a purple tinge to it… the background people’s faces they were purple… It was … embarrassing having to give my family purple pictures of the animals and themselves.

With the free 8×10 deal recently, however, I was more pleased with it. And for signing up I got the free 20 4×6 pictures. They turned out decently, and of-course again some (few) had that same purple’ness to it. Very odd. When I look at them on my computer they do not turn or look purple, so it is not my pictures.

If you have to pay I’d recommend SnapFish. I was happy with the quality photos I got from them.

      But free is free ๐Ÿ˜€

im sure it depends on the individual store, and how often they maintain their machines, change ink etc…..

I don’t mind Walgreens for the freebie pictures, but my store does not do a good job either. I have had blurry faces, poorly cropped, lackluster color, etc. I have thought about complaining to them about it, but figured it would sound bad to complain about free pictures. I did talk with them online a week ago, and they told me that if you are doing bigger pictures, you should choose a slower speed when uploading pictures. I never noticed that option before, but it is there. I don’t know if it would make a difference in the end products or not. My store’s photo service is not real old, over a year but not 2 years yet, so I don’t think it is because their machines are getting old.

You can pick up a small photo book for around $1, and that is what I do to keep family pictures in my purse. I change them out as the kids get older. I am not saying not to take Walgreen’s up on this offer, but what I do is a good option too.

You will have to pay shipping because stores don’t have the capability to print them. They only do 8.5×11 single-sided books in store. As for the quality of the pictures it could be their machine or the way they were uploaded to the website. You could try another walgreens to see if they are any better. If they are it is there machine, but let them know because they could try to get it fixed. If it isn’t it is the online uploaded and there is a 1-800 number to call on the website for help with this.

I think the quality of the photos depends upon the individual stores. I have gotten better results from a Walgreens that is a little farther away than the one closest to me. The freebie 8×10 I got last week was gorgeous. So was a collage photo I got from them a couple months ago. As far as overall quality in photos, I have had the best success with Artscow.com.
