Do you just print off the whole facebook page?

I had the quesadillas the other day and they were very good!

I tried the cinnamon sugar ones with breakfast one morning and even at full price I didn’t finish the first one. They were boring dough balls that were overdone on the outside and I couldn’t detect any cinnamon sugar. That being said this variety sounds pretty good and I’d be willing to try them again (especially for free) in hopes that they were just badly prepared that morning.

Oh and don’t forget to leave your server more than an $0.80 tip (even if you just get the quesadillas, free puppies and water so your pre-coupon total was $4). Waiters/Waitresses are assigned a limited amount of tables and yours could be filled with people spending $20-$30 ($4-$6 tip) instead.

I agree with the tip comment 100%. I used to wait tables and people thought if they had coupons they could tip on the amount after coupons. It’s not fair to short them because you have coupons. They are just trying to get by too!

Is that why waiters and waitresses are so rude when they see coupons. I mean they pretty much secure the fate of their tip with that attitude.

I disagree with this tip comment. First let me say I completely agree that you should tip on the BEFORE coupon price so on the $4.00 (before coupons) order, $0.80 is a 20% tip. I have also been a waitress so I always tip based on the service not on a percentage. If the service was good on this bill I would probably pay with a $5.00 and let the server keep the change so with the coupon the tip would be a little less than $3.00 after tax.

But I don’t think anyone should feel obligated to tip more just because they are ordering cheaper food. It doesn’t matter if that table could have someone sitting there that orders more expensive food and MIGHT tip more. I know a lot of servers that get upset when people sit at their table and don’t order much or stay there for a while because they THINK that they are going to get a small tip. When the server gets that attitude it shows (even if they are trying to hide it) and their service lacks and that is probably the reason that they get smaller tips. I know this from personal experiance, I received a $90.00 tip before on a $10.00 check because I was nice to the person and didn’t care that she sat there for a while and she was only 1 person.

So really please tip on what they deserve. They are making an hourly rate to do their JOB. You are tipping them for good to great service. In my opinion bad service=bad tip. But also remember that the server doesn’t cook the food so if the food is bad it is not the servers fault, as long as they handle the situation well.

“But I don’t think anyone should feel obligated to tip more just because they are ordering cheaper food.”

I agree with you in most cases. I wouldn’t suggest that anyone calculate the average menu price and tip on that regardless of what they order or feel that they have to purchase more food than they want to – an $0.80 tip just seemed extremely low to me for full table service.

I guess I made my remark because this plan was created to find the cheapest possible meal. Normally, when customers order what sounds appetizing, servers will get high and low bills and big and little tips throughout their shift and (most of the time) it evens out. I love that this blog is all about getting the best deal but I would feel bad if a server had mostly tables who were trying to order the minimum amount required to get a freebie and received $0.80 tips all night even though that’s technically 20% of her sales. Then again it’s Denny’s fault for creating a $2 menu…

“So really please tip on what they deserve.”
Bottom line, I was trying to say the same thing, so overall I think we agree, even if it didn’t come out that way.

Anyway, this is probably not the right forum for a tipping etiquette debate, so back to saving money! 🙂

I will always try free so I tried these the last time they offered them. ICKY!! I tried the red, white, and blueberry ones. They are greasy, crispy dough balls and I didn’t even finish the first ones. The blueberries were little hard pieces of something. They weren’t anything like a “Blueberry”. Maybe yours will be better

I agree with you 100%. The waitress brought us another order and they were just as bad. Unfortunately, when we went, we paid full price. I’ll never get them again. Even for free. If you hear me say that, then you know they have to be bad.

The Oreo ones are so yummy!
