I got this email today too! Very excited! I signed up right away.

Amazon Mom sounds kind of funny. 😀

Great deal though. They are REALLY pushing this S&S thing.

  3. Heather

I almost just signed up for this but stopped at the last step. It wanted me to cancel my current free prime membership and switch to the free ‘mom’ prime offer. But I wonder if I can wait till my current free prime offer is up and then register for this, maybe I can then get a few more months of free prime out of them? Any thoughts on this?

    • Jen N

That screen came up for me as well, but it gave me the option to either accept the new membership, or keep my current membership and still be an Amazon Mom member, which I did.

    • MommySpendsLess

I was wondering the same thing (I didn’t know I had Amazon Prime benefits though, nice surprise!). Mine expires next month so I think I’m going to try waiting at least a couple more weeks before signing up for the Amazon Mom program since it’d be nice to have free shipping during the holidays.

      • Andrea

That’s my plan, too! Hope it works! 😀

    • Tiffany

I am in your same shoes, but the only down fall I can see in waiting is that you don’t know if and when they will drop the Amazon Prime as a perk of the program ….. I have Amazon Prime from the diaper deals that runs through Oct 30th, but if I sign up for Amazon Mom now I will at least have it until Dec 7th and that will be great come time to do all my holiday shopping! Can you imagine – no shipping fees for holiday shopping? It’s better then going to the store, because you save the gas and don’t pay for it to be dropped on your door step! That’s my two cents ….. 🙂

  4. Mama Bear

I was wondering the same thing, Heather. I am going to wait and try to get it when my current prime membership runs out.

  5. Jennifer M

Not that anyone necessarily doesn’t need diapers or whatnot, but if you’re a student you can get a year of free amazon prime as well.

  6. Elizabeth

I paid for my Amazon Prime account last winter. When I got to the end it asked if I wanted to switch to the Amazon Mom and get a prorated refund of my original Amazon Prime account! Cant wait to see how much I get back!

  7. Andrea

I notice that a lot of the diapers are running around 41 dollars for a pack of 100+ diapers, about how much will the diapers end up costing with all the discounts that they are offering to give you? I am new to amazon shopping and not sure what I am doing. Any help would be great. Thanks.

    • Stephanie Werner

I usually consider 14 cents per diaper (or less) a good deal (for Huggies), based on what Collin posts on here. HTH.

  8. Lisa

Is this immediately effective? I had put some items in my cart earlier today and really want to purchase them, however, it’s not showing free two day shipping when I try to check out. It says that I am signed up for Amazon Mom now, too. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong!

    • Texas Chick

      Ditto.

    • Texas Chick

I just found this on http://www.mamacheaps.com

“that means you get free 2-day shipping on eligible items – if you buy $25 or more form the Baby Store (in a single order)”

I guess it is only for specific items and you have to spend $25. Bummer

      • Brandi

Here’s the text from the Amazon Mom FAQs:
“FREE 2-day shipping with Amazon Prime: When you join Amazon Mom, you will receive FREE Two-Day Shipping with Amazon Prime for the first 3 months of your membership. For each $25 you spend within a single order in the Baby store, we’ll grant you an additional month of Amazon Prime shipping benefits. You can earn up to one year from the date you joined Amazon Mom.”

So it looks like you do get the Amazon Prime shipping for any items that include that designation throughout Amazon. The “extra” benefit is that for every $25 purchase you make in the baby store that will add an additional month on to your Prime shipping benefit. They will also notify you of the date your Prime shipping is set to end, based on your purchases from the baby store. I wasn’t sure about switching over but now I am! Thanks Colin!

are their codes still out their that you can use in conjunction with this?

  10. Rebecca

I have an extra S code (from the parenting magazine) If anyone has an extra code from the Parents Magazine and is interested in trading..let me know!

    cravingcoupons@gmail.com

    • Brandi

I’m sending you an email now. I have a W code that I would like to swap!

      • Mary Alice

Brandi, did you swap your W code? If not, I’ll take it. I have an S code to swap.

        • Brandi

Yeah! Nope she might have already swapped since I haven’t heard back from her. You still interested?? Email me at blw_1@yahoo.com.

          • Mary Alice

Brandi, I just sent you an email. As long as the code hasn’t expired yet and hasn’t been used, I am interested in swapping.

    • ecosavvy

what codes y’all are referring to, what are they for, & where are they found?
      THANKS!!

      • Liz

codes are good for an extra 20% off diapers at amazon. You can stack them along with the 30% off from the S&S, so it makes for cheap diapers and free shipping.

I have an extra ‘S’ code from parenting, if anyone has a Sept. code from Parents that you wanna trade.

Email me at eabuffa@aol.com if you want to trade.

        • Katie F.

I was able to stack 2 coupons on top of the SS last week, but when I found another 20%, and tried to make another purchase, it would not allow the Q

      • Liz

they are found in the parents/ parenting magazines. They are orange pull outs with codes on them. Just beware to look for the codes before buying the magazines. My hubby went out to buy a few magazines and came home with ones that the codes were ripped out. Just check to see if they are still there before buying them. Hoping these people were really desperate for the coupons instead of the people you see selling them on ebay.

I have an extra W code if anyone wants to swap! Email me at lwyatt21@gmail.com

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Is this free shipping only good on the kid stuff or the whole site???

  12. Brandi

Anyone know if this Amazon Mom program will still be available after October? I’m hesitant NOT to switch if I can’t sign up after the free trial is over.

  13. Emily

I just signed up, but my membership page still says that I’m not a prime member. Does it just take awhile to get put into the system?

  14. brenda

Emily~ Yes, it does but I just checked mine & it is activated. Hope yours will be soon.

  15. Melody

Does anyone know how you can go in and select NOT to auto renew this like in the free trail they offer?

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Thank you, Collin!!!

  17. Michelle

Does anyone know if this automatically shuts off the Amazon Prime on December 8th, or will I be billed if I don’t cancel by then?

  18. Andrea

Do you have to pay for a Amazon account??? I assumed that I could sign up for this, and if I fetl like I wanted to use it for purchasing something on Amazon, it would be ready to go, and if I never ended up using it, it wouldn’t affeect me. People talking about canceling your membership before it ended, making me nervous, in not getting charged, what are people talking about ??? Please Help !!! Thanks. =)

  19. Mary Alice

I have an S code for 20% off from the Sept. issue of Parenting the Early Years, if anyone has another code from the Sept. issue of Parents they haven’t used and would be willing to swap.

    • Brandi

Replied above but wanted to be sure you got it. Email me at blw_1@yahoo.com. I have not found a home for my W code.

  20. Rebecca

Does anybody know if the coupon from the Parenting magazine can be used more than once? In otherwords, can codes be swapped to be used again??? Hope that makes sense….

  21. Julie

    • FREE 2-day shipping with Amazon Prime: When you join Amazon Mom, you will receive FREE Two-Day Shipping with Amazon Prime for the first 3 months of your membership. For each $25 you spend within a single order in the Baby store, we’ll grant you an additional month of Amazon Prime shipping benefits. You can earn up to one year from the date you joined Amazon Mom.

    Eligibility & Sign-Up:

It doesn’t cost anything to participate in Amazon Mom, and all parents and caregivers are eligible to join. To receive personalized offers, e-mails, and product recommendations based on the age and stage of your child, simply provide some optional information about your family (name, gender, and birthday of your child). We respect strict privacy standards with this information and never share your information with other companies.

To sign-up, visit the Amazon Mom sign-up page at http://www.amazon.com/mom. Once you submit the sign-up form, you’ll receive an e-mail confirmation.

    Current Amazon Prime Members:

If you’re already an Amazon Prime member, you can still join Amazon Mom. During the sign-up process, we will offer you the option of either:

    a) Canceling your existing Prime subscription and receiving a prorated refund for the remaining unused months left on your subscription, or

    b) Staying with your existing Prime subscription (customers who don’t anticipate shopping in the Baby Store frequently may prefer this option)

Note: If you choose option A, you will receive a cancellation e-mail that indicates the amount of your Amazon Prime refund. The Prime shipping benefits you receive as an Amazon Mom begin immediately after joining the program.

What items count towards the shipping benefit so that I can earn more free months of Prime?

    • Any Baby product (i.e. anything in the Baby store) counts towards earning additional months of FREE Two-Day Shipping with Amazon Prime. To be sure, you can always look for the yellow stripe on the product detail page that says “Amazon Mom: Purchase this and other Baby items to extend your Amazon Prime FREE Shipping Benefits”.

How will I know when my free shipping benefit ends?

    • In the third month of your membership, we will send you an e-mail that tracks your spending progress in the Baby store. This e-mail will contain a current end date for your shipping benefit based on how much you have spent in the Baby store.

What items are eligible for FREE Two-Day Shipping with Amazon Prime?

    • Products eligible for Amazon Prime will be designated on the product page and at checkout. Eligible products include millions of items sold by Amazon.com and orders from third-party merchants that are fulfilled and shipped by Amazon.

Hope this answers some of your questions…

    • Julie

PS Amazon gift cards count towards your $25 spent so you could buy a gift card for yourself and it applies towards your extension.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for posting this! Helped me make my decision so much faster!

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am SO confused. I have done the Amazon deal with Subscribe and Save 2 times. First it cost me ~$23 for 140 diapers and then the second time I used codes and got it down to $9.72. I was so amped I got the AmazonMom email, here comes the confusion. I went to order the same thing I always have and type in my “orange codes”. EACH ONE WAS DENIED!!! One I think may have been used. But the other two I have from magazine I own didn’t work. With the new AmazonMoM , DO THE CODES WORK? HAS ANYONE HAD SUCCESS SINCE SWITCHING?

    • kimberley

Did they start with the same letter as you used before or a different letter?

    • Brandi

You can only use one code that starts with the same letter, like only one code that starts with “W” and one code that starts with “S”. That’s why some of us are swapping codes in order to use another. You could try to find someone else who has the other codes that you don’t have and swap with them. Or have someone else in your family create an Amazon account and then place the order for you with the codes.

    • Chrissy

I have a W code. I just sent you an email.

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I have an extra S code, if someone has the W code………..email me at azfosterparent@yahoo.com
