What does everyone else think of these steam and mash potatoes? Maybe it’s because I grew up eating the real thing all the time….but I think they taste a little funny…not really worth the money in my mind…

I totally agree, I grabbed several bags last time target had a really good deal and when I served them they were (in my family’s opinion) not very good at all. I still have a lot in my freezer that I don’t even want to use.

I liked the steam and mash. It it’s use that or use dry potato flakes then I’d go with the steam and mash. Of course nothing beats fresh potatoes you mash up yourself!

I liked the steam and mash potatoes but my hubby didn’t 🙁
I noticed the expiration on the Heinz gravy coupon was only 9/23/10! I sure wish it were later than that. I wonder if anyone will start having *really* early holiday sales, lol?
Thanks for all the great info., Colin!

I was thinking right now before I clicked on the comments that when I bought these things..They were GROSS> not worth it at all at any price..and really mashed potatoes aqre always good.I wouldnt reccomend these at all. 🙁

Funny, I clicked on the comments to see if anyone else thought they were nasty and saw the same opinion was shared throughout for the most part. It’s a great deal if you like them but I was very dissapointed in them. I wish they would do a coupon like that for the fries or hashbrowns- that would be great with the target deal :-).

My husband loves the garlic mashed ones. I like them because it’s a whole lot easier than homemade- which is good after a long day at work.
And just a note- Target will no longer let you use a coupon on a free item. I tried to Tuesday and got rejected.

Here is another Target deal for you: on the Archer Farms frozen pizza there were coupons for $3 off Archer farms frozen lasagna. This week there is a deal on the lasagna for buy 2 get one free- normally $6.99 each. I used 2 $3 off coupons (tried the third but it was rejected). So I got 3 frozen lasagna’s for $2.66 each.

so i went to target today and the buy 2 get 1 free sale was still on. the sale price at my store was $2.44 per bag. i was hesitant to buy 3 bags mashed potatoes having never tried them so i used the $1 off potatoes coupon and found a $1.50/2 ore-ida products at this link:

now i’m able to get one bag potatoes, one bag of fries and one of tater tot’s all for $2.38 + tax!

yanno, you spend alot of time trying to get things for practically nothing, and thats fine but when your local stores go out of business, dont be crying the blues.

    • JennyB

That is probably the stupidest thing u could have said, every coupon user knows the store is reimbursed the coupon amount plus 8cents for handling. Why don’t u keep your negative attitude to yourself and not comment unless its helpful! Some people have no tact

I liked these but my hubby doesnt care for them. They are better for potato soup than mashed potatoes in my opinion.

I am very disappointed at Ralphs/Krogers- for the last few years every other week Ore-Ida Extra Crispy Easy Fries were 10 for 10.00 what a deal. I would buy 20 at a time. For the last 6 months they are 1.99- I could go to McDonald’s and buy a extra large order of fries and get 5x the amount of fries. at 10/10 its a deal. but for some reason Ralphs thinks that 1.99 will sell more. I put an X with a pen on the out side of the first box in the frez- I went back 2 days later and the box I marked was still there. when they are 10/10 most of the time you have to stand on the bottom shelf and reach back and try to find 10. Good by Ralph’s- they have raised their prices in Los Angeles to pay for all the remolding they have done. The sales suck and they are very tricky when it comes to reading the fine print. (must by 12 items with this marking to receive this idem for the sale price) so small you cant even read it without glass. I don’t ware glasses. So it’s only one customer but I am on my way to Albersons.
