Now is the time to stock up on these, does not get any better than this. Plus most certificates now have on expiration dates.

    • grifyn

How long until they expire, usually?

      • Kris Brower

        None of the certificates expire

        • grifyn

          Thank you! 🙂

        • Deb

They expire 1 year from the issue date.

          • Derek

Deb, that’s how they used to be (which was no fun)–but a few months ago they changed their policy to them NEVER expiring. Once you print off a coupon on the bottom of the fine print it read “this restaurant gift certificate does not expire”. In addition the no expiration date, you can also reprint ones that look like they expired that you never used and they will now print off with the new ‘fine print’ and you can use them with no problem (I used one that was 1 year 2 months old last week and it went thru just fine).

  2. tmills118

Thanks Collin! I am stocking up 🙂

I was wanting others opinion of the Dinner of the Month Club. Do you choose each month which restaurant you want or does RESTAURANT.com? This seems to good to be true.

    • Samantha

I purchased the Dinner of the Month club to use for myself last year and also purchased one for my mom– 12 months for each of us. You will receive an e-mail notification that your certificate is ready and then YOU get to choose the certificate you wish to print. When my husband and I go out the certificates usually save us about half the cost of our food/soft drinks but that takes the tax and tip into account, too. For example, if we have $35 of food and use a $25 certificate, we will pay the difference of $10 and roughly $7.50 for tax/tip. Just be sure to tip on the pre-discounted amount!

  4. Krystle

It only takes it down to 1.50

    • Emily

It depends. Some of the ones in my area are $10 for a $25 and some are $15 for a $25. So it looks like some will be $1 and some will be $1.50.

  5. Susan

I just bought 6 $50 restaurant.com gift certificates and then 2 for a specific restaurant. Spent $18!! Not too bad for Christmas gifts and nights out for my family. 🙂 Thank you!

  6. grifyn

I think people must be killing the site right now… can’t blame them. I’m not able to get there. 🙁

  7. Christine M.

Be aware many of these certificates require a minimum purchase of ten or more dollars above the actual value of the certificate.

    • Robin

Yes, this is true. Most of the $25 ones require a $35+ purchase, but a typical bill for my family of 4 is around $45, so to pay only $1 for a $25 certificate cuts our bill in half. It’s still worth it.

  8. Michelle

Site is down, I almost had time to get my certificates before everyone started slamming the site…. awesome.

  9. jill

    thank you!

  10. Christine M.

Actually, several in my zip code require a minimum purchase of double the value of the certificate…

  11. gina

thanks a MILLION for the link kris!!! saved me a ton of time, there is only 1 restaurant in my area, so this isn’t much of a deal for me. i am going to hop off of the site so that others can get on!!

  12. kimi

Thank you ~ we are going to try three new restaurants in our town and visit one old favorite.

  13. Debbie

Thanks so much! My parents most favorite restaurant was on there.. got 4 25.00 GC for 6.00. Should you print out the certificates immediately? This is the first time I am using the site. Any help would be great!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

u can do it anytime if u log on

      • Debbie

        Thank you!

  14. Nickie

Is this promo good for a while? A lot of the restaurants I’s like to purchase from ran out gift cert.

    • Mel

I think the 90% off code is only good through today. You could do the restaurant of the month so that you can go back and get the certificate you want when it is back in stock.

      • ScrapGal

This seems like a good idea but I am wondering if I have to use 1 certificate each month if I do the monthly club. Do you have to use one before the next one becomes available? Do the certificates expire if it’s the monthly club (I know the regular ones don’t)?

  15. grifyn

I scored 9! A $10 and 8 $25 certificates, all on places with only a $35 minimum purchase (I noticed I kind of had to look out for that part…). All for only $9.65! I did it through SwagBucks so I would get points. Thanks, Collin!! 😀

    • mamabear

ive looked all over swagbucks offers and dont see it where did you find it?? i must have looked over it!

      • lilroysmom2

I would love to know where to find it on swagbucks too! any chance you can pay with paypal?

        • mamabear

found it lol… page 3 under All categories…

        • Anonymous

Yes, paypal was available to pay Restaurant.com if that is what you meant.

          • lilroysmom2

thanks found it 🙂 and ya thats what i was talking about paying with paypal as well thanks !

  16. Melanie

Awesome, thank you! I signed up for the Dinner of the Month Club so I’ll get (12) $25 gift cards plus the bonus $50 gift card…only $12! And I went through ShopAtHome like you suggested since I was already registered with them.

  17. mamabear

yes stock up now!! i did this last year and had great experiences… only one of the resturaunts quit accepting them, but anyways stock up time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. Heather A.

I just signed up for the 12 month certificate and I didn’t get the $50…. I am calling customer service now. Did anyone else have this problem???

    • mommamia

my $50 gift card didn’t post either after buying the 12 month dinner of the month club. did you talk to customer service?

  19. Leticia

What zip code are you guys using to have it come out to $1…All I get is $1.50 for each $25 cert.

  20. bfam

It won’t let me checkout. I added one $25 certificate, normally $10 discounted to $1, and it tells me I have to have a minimum of $10 to use the promotion! Anyone else have this happen?

    • bfam

That was when I tried going through Swagbucks. When I just tried it through Shopathome, it let me purchase it. Odd.

      • lilroysmom2

Ya i was just coming to say the same thing that we wouldnt cant get the swagbucks for it unless we spend 9 additional dollars. which if there were alot of good resturants/deals around it would be great but unfortantly theres not much around me

  21. Samantha

YAY! Got the Dinner of the Month club for myself since mine just ran out. My bank has a new program where you get a percentage back from participating companies and I got 10% back from the purchase in addition to the 25% from shopathome. 7.80 for a year’s worth of certificates and the bonus $50 one!!!

    • Anonymous

When you buy the dinner of the month, do you have to use one each month?? The single ones I got said they don’t expire. I would hate to have them expire if for some reason we didn’t use it one month….help…..

      • JustMe

No, you can use them whenever you want. They just keep accumulating in your account. The best time to buy is the first day of each month when they restock. Some popular restaurants sell out fast each month. I did this deal about a year ago, and it’s been working out well.

        • Anonymous

Thanks, JustMe, maybe I’ll go back and get more 🙂

  22. Jessica

Just waiting for the site to come up….was able to look on the resturaunt list and I am dying to get through!

  23. Kathy

Can’t get shop at home to open restaurant.com. Any tips?

  24. Deb

I got 4 total on 2 local restaurants here in Atlanta area-I like the $10. ones
    Came to $1.60.
Frankies is my fav local Italian place-love their soft garlicky yeast rolls & salad!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the site is down, talking to CS now on the phone.

  25. Liz

The site is so slow. I’ve been on hold with CS for over 15 minutes.

    • Liz

Still on hold. It’s been 24 minutes now that I’ve been on hold.

      • Anonymous

Just put it on speaker phone if you can and go about your work 🙂

        • Liz

I did :). I finally hung up after being on hold for 30 minutes and dialed the number again. Only thing is that as soon as my boss get’s out of his 10:30 am mtg I’m not going to be able to have it on speaker 🙁 Hopefully they answer soon. The site crashes as soon as I hit checkout.

  26. Trace

Finally! After dinking around with the site all morning I finally completed my order. Sometimes it ran fast. Other timese the “add to cart” function would hang, but I did notice the items made it into the cart.
    I spent $14 for $140 worth! I almost gave up. I am glad I didn’t.

  28. Liz

I finally got through to CS and the restaurant is out of stock :(. I tried all morning and 3 in my cart at one point. That sucks. I was able to buy general three $25 Restaurant.com certificates for $1.50 each for any restaurant. I can use these general certificates later when they restock.

  29. Jen

I needed the patience of Job, but at long last after about 50 site crashes I ordered 7, $25 gift certificates ($35 min purchase required) and 2, $10 certificates ($20 min purchase required) for $8.43! The hubs and I are set for many date nights at a different restaurant each time, plus I have a Christmas gift. Yipee!
    Thank you!

  30. jill

Hey Collin, thanks for yet another great deal.

I’ve been purchasing individual gc for a while now but just got my first dinner of the month club. If I understand correctly, each month they will email me a credit code to redeem for a $25 gc at a restaurant of my choice. The credit codes do not expire, the gc are good for one year from purchase (or when you redeemed code) date. The site was slow but it seemed to help to login before checking out. There are plenty of participating restaurants in my area and I’m going to Isle of Palms, SC at the end of Oct with some friends. We’ll use one there too.

  31. Rita

OMG, I finally got thru the checkout!!!! This is from around 10am. I ordered 2 ‘Dinner of the Month’ certif. & only received one $50 certif. code. As a result, I had to call cust. servc.(finally got thru), wait on hold for a long time & the rep. processed an adjst. for the 2nd $50 certif. code (she was very nice). Thanks, I can’t wait to use this as this is my 1st time using http://www.restaurant.com. : )

    ps
The rep. told me to activate my certif. as soon as possible b/c it’s not automatic.

  32. Derek

I just bought 2349239472394 coupons! Or maybe like 10. Either way, what a HUGE savings! There are about 4 or 5 places we go to on a regular basis that are all on this website, so getting a great meal for multiple people for ~20 bucks is always a sweet deal!!!

  33. Bekah

Woo hooo I finally got through! I got the Dinner of the Month deal. There are only about 3 participating restaurants around us, but for $12 I couldn’t pass it up!

  34. Mitchell Wischmann

Good news everyone! The coupon code has been extended through tomorrow, 10/1! 😀

  35. Phoenix_Fire

Don’t forget about it like I just did 🙁 but you can get 15% cash back through Ebates.com

  36. lade

I did not receive a confirmation number, or the free gift. Does this come in the email?

  37. lyrafowlpotter

I was skeptival about doing the restaurant.com thing, but when the %80 off code was listed, I figured it would be worth trying since our budget is so strapped for cash, we hardly eat out anymore, okay, we don’t. But this seems like a good way to not only try new restaurants, but do it in an affordable way, I hate to waste money on a new restaurant that sucks, but the coupons will allow me to go for at least %50 off (plus NO sales tax in oregon, yay!), that’s a steal!!! I got a bunch more tonight since they extended the %90 off, and I missed it earlier. I can’t wait to start eating out again with my hubby, I just hope the restaurants we try are good ones, I checked on yelp, com for reviews and tried to find ones that had mostly good reviews, if I’m gonna take a risk,I rather it be a safe one since its still money, and we are strapped for cash! But I am really looking forward to this. 🙂

    God Bless ~Amy

  38. Sarah B

Very dissappointed 🙁 I tried to get the deal, went through the whole check out process and everything then got a notice saying that because of the demand they would be available on Monday and I never saw anything. Wondering what is going on. Don’t think my bank account was charged either. Wish I could have gotten some. I love getting these as it makes it cheap for our family of 6 to eat out.
