I always miss out on these offers. My local theater is part of the 2% that doesn’t accept these kind of tickets. 🙁
Me too. Closest movie theater is 45 miles away.
Is there a way to know if my local movie theaters accept this Groupon deal… is there a listing somewhere?
Bridget
Bridget, check the fandango website to see if your local theatres are listed there when your browse for movie tickets. Just select a movie and type your zipcode. It should show all the theatres that shows the movie…..but you I think you can check which threatres takes Fandango tickets.
Actually you have to click “Fandango Ticketing theaters” and NOT “All Theaters” when looking for a participating theater. A lot of people have been buying tickets they can’t use because they think that searching for any theater is the same as searching for a Fandgo participating theater – me included.
Yea Im going to see new harry potter movie I think comes out in nov
Despite what they say very very few movies theaters accept their tickets. In our area we have at least three different movie chains and some independent theaters as well, all accept emovie cash none but Regal accept these. same thing in Connecticut. Also you have to know exactly which movie and what time you are going to see. So they’re not a bad deal but there are a few things to be aware of. I really prefer emovie cash I wish they’d do this, just show up and hand them the ticket pretty much anywhere for any movie anytime.
do you live in a rural area? I live in a city in Washington and there is only one theater in a 75 mile radius that doesn’t accept fandango ticketing and that is because it is the cheap theater that shows older viewings
I live in houston and every theatre near me takes them. Definately check your area before you buy or dimiss this deal.
These are great. Whenever my husband and I go to the movies we drive to the cheap theatre that is far away. Being able to go to a nice theatre and see a 3D film for the same price – perfect. We had a really good experience with ours this past weekend!
Are these considered passes? The 3-D movies here say no passes allowed. Still a good deal! I just had 2 free tickets expire on me the other day… not sure if it would be a good idea for me to buy these, but I would love to take the whole family to a 3-D movie if any good kids ones comeo out before they expire!
they are not considered passes, they are actual value movie tickets, that you will redeem on fandango for your particular movie/showing before you leave for the theater. then you just show them at the ticket taker and you are on your way…no fuss no muss, no lines!! They are good on all 3-d , normal and imax movies including new releases with no wait. I took the kids to Guardians of Gahoole opening weekend, and will take them to Harry Potter with them too!
Ohh sounds like fun! So one can use all 6 at once right? Fun!
There are quite a few places in Philly that take them as well…
Like tilla han has done.. mine will be enjoyed with the kiddos to see Harry and all the other great movies that are coming out !! And you can use them (the stubs) for DMR points when you see a Disney movie!!
I would be very cautious about doing any business with weekly cinema. I did a while back, on a free 3 day promo, and am still trying to cancel my subscription two months later. It’s been a huge headache, with them telling me I don’t have an account, then it turned out I do and got charged, then I tried to cancel the account, then got charged another month. I finally reported my credit card as lost so I could at least stop them charging me. I’m currently working on getting a refund, but am hesitant to think it will actually happen. Very poor customer service.
So I purchased through Groupon. Now what happens?
Looks like they are all sold out now…hope you got it if you wanted it!
