Rite Aid: FREE Contour USB Meter (Plus, $10 in Overage to go Towards Other Items?!)

Hip2Save may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you via trusted partners and affiliate links in this post. Prices and availability are accurate as of time posted. Read our full disclosure policy here.

I guess this week is definitely a week for Rite Aid shopping… I can’t believe all the deals I’ve already posted! And with that being said, here is yet another one. Just check out the email I received from reader, Diane, below:

Rite Aid has a $40.00 coupon on the video values site for a Contour USB meter. They are on sale this week for $29.99. When they scanned all my coupons, the extra $10.00 went towards my other purchases. Great gift for a diabetic friend or family member for FREE plus $10.00 in overage!!!!!!!!!

Now I cannot guarantee that these Contour USB Meters are priced the same at your local Rite Aid or that you’ll get the $10 in overage (to go towards other items in your transaction) if they are. So with that said, make sure to come back and let us know if this awesome deal works for you too!

(Thanks for passing this along, Diane!)

**Check out all the other Rite Aid deals I’ve posted recently (which is quite a lot!) here— make sure to scroll past this post.

FANTASTIC deal! Thanks so much for all you do! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Mary Beth

Wanted to post this towards the top: in addition to the $20 coupon on the Bayer site, their was also a link at the bottom to register your USB meter and get a free gift. I haven’t gotten the meter yet to register it, but it looks like the gift choices are either DERMAL therapy Body Lotion, 8 oz. bottle or MICROLET 25 Colored Lancets. You can also get a “skin” for your meter in other pretty colors, although I think the black looks pretty cool in the photos. Here’s the link to the registration page:
      https://www.bayercontourusb.us/registration/registration

      • Mary Beth

“there” not “their”. Also, I was thinking of using the overage (if I get it) towards puchasing more of the test strips . . . does anyone know offhand how much they cost?

  2. Loretta

Just got mine … with $10.01 overage to go toward other items. WOO HOO!

On the down side, we had a power outage and there is obviously something wrong with the system. NONE of my Up Rewards printed. BOO HOO!

  3. Brandy

Has anyone successfully tried this deal yet? If so, please post your experience! Us more timid couponers would love to know how it went! =)

    • Jessica K

I got it. It went just as she said!

    • Kat

Yep! I just did it and it worked. I used the $40 VV + the $10 manufacturer coupon from 8/8 RP + $5 off $25, and I got $25 if overage that I applied to other items that had Up+ rewards and SCRs!!!!! SWEET!!!

      • Selene

        Whoa!!! NICE!!!

      • stephanie

GOOD IDEA…Totally forgot about it giving that overage as well. You go girl! So that is $20 in overage right?

    • Lighthousefam

I just did it and it worked great. The cashier said it might not take the full $40 off, but once she scanned it, it did and she said she wasn’t going to change it. I’m so excited to be able to give this to my sister in law who really needs it!!

    • roseashby

Hi Brandy! Today I went to Rite Aid and got the USB contour meter. It was $29.99, I had the $40 off VV coupon, and also a $20 off Red Plum coupon. I got $30.01 in overage! I was very excited because I got my total from $80 down to $0.15 before tax ($1.16 after). Also I’m in the region where the Red Plum is mailed so I just got the $20 off coupon yesterday. My poor mother in law has a rare form of lung cancer, among many other health issues, and can use this product to check on her blood sugar levels. I hope this works for you!

  4. erin

There is also a $10 Manuf coupon in the 8/8 RP!

    • CarolK

      Must be regional.
      Drats!
Thanks for the heads up anyway!

  5. Katie

Just tried to view the video to earn the coupon…Says video not available.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Don’t give up. I just printed one just a few seconds ago.

    • Erin

This was happening to me so i emailed adperk. They said something about ad blockers so to try using Internet Explorer browser (i usually use firefox). IE worked no problem.

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Looks like all the comments were deleted

Collin why are you promoting OVERAGE when it’s in the policy NOT to give overage. You are not teaching the proper way to use coupons at Rite Aid. No wonder they are tightening the rules.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Gonna go get mine in a few minutes! Super Collin thanks for posting

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      strongly agreed,
      Tino pointed out last night.
Wonder why that has been deleted while it was all true.

      • kristie

I wonder why all the comments were deleted. RA policy clearly states no overage. I can see this being a fiasco. Someone that doesnt coupon will see this “deal” and go to RA and argue when they dont get the overage.

        • gwilker235

          I agree

    • Anonymous

it’s people like you that makes her have to delete all the comments

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No it’s the bashing that leads to deletion. If comments are deleted b/c the post doesn’t follow store policy than that is another issue and I will stop using sites like that.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

don’t use the sight then. michelle you are no longer welcolmed on this site. do you work for rite aid corporate office? if no let the rest of us get the deal. omg

          • Jen

Sorry, Anonymous, but I’m guessing this isn’t your site, so you don’t have the right tell people they are no longer welcome. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not agreeing with Michelle, I’m just pointing out that you are WAAAAAAAAAAAAY overstepping your bounds.

    • Lighthousefam

If Rite Aid’s computers do not adjust down, it’s not our fault. My RA had it on sale for $29.99 and I used my $40 only expecting $29.99 to come off. The cashier said that it probably wouldn’t take the full $40 off and when it did she refused to adjust it down. So how are we abusing the system when it is the store’s fault. There is nothing wrong with what she posted.

  7. Jennifer

Overage is not allowed by Rite Aid’s coupon policy, and just because the computer doesn’t catch it, doesn’t make it okay. NO ONE should plan on doing this deal as stated here. That would be INTENTIONAL coupon FRAUD.

The only way to “make” money on this is to get a $4 or $5 dollar item, and combine this with the $4/$20 VV coupon or the $5/$25 Red Plum coupon.

    • Anonymous

      Agreed!!!

    • Lighthousefam

I did the deal and my cashier refused to adjust the coupon down to $29.99. It’s not coupon fraud if the store’s system doesn’t automatically adjust down and the cashiers refuse.

      • Annonymous

i’m guessing you just turned a blind eye to the fact that the cashier can lose her job for giving overage and the fact that its in RA’s policy not to give overage , the right thing to do was to tell her to adjust the coupon down because you don’t was her to get into trouble .

  8. Niki

Why to blame Collin? Isn’t that Riteaid having a problem? Why they give out $40 in coupon and put out the product on sale way less than the value of the coupon?
I think she just try to tell us a deal out there ASAP. So, you make your own decision to buy it or not.
For me, if I need the product I will buy it. If not, I pass. Who doesn’t want to save money on stuff they will NEED?

    • Jennifer

Hip2Save is encouraging others to commit coupon fraud – telling them they can use this for overage – so YES, BLAME COLLIN.

This can still be got for free, the coupon just has to be adjusted down, as their policy clearly states. If one knowingly allows a RA employee to NOT adjust it down due to their ignorance, one is committing fraud, and can possibly get the RA employee fired as well.

Do we REALLY want the cashiers to have to read the fine print on EVERY coupon and check prices on everything because they can’t trust anyone to NOT try to defraud the store?

      • Annonymous

        totally agree

    • kristie

I dont think anyone is blaming Colin, I think most people are not understanding why the overages are being promoted when it is clearly against RA’s policy. Also it doesnt matter if the item is on sale the cashier should adjust the coupon down.

  9. Collin

I deleted all the comments on this post because most of them were not so nice and everyone seemed to be bashing on one another. I did NOT delete the comments due to anyone leaving a comment stating that it was wrong to get the overage. If you read the comments, you’d have noticed that most of them were left by Julie who was angry about readers buying meters who aren’t diabetic.

On another note, I’m not telling you all to not follow the Rite Aid coupon policy. I did state in the post that this may not work for everyone and some of you may NOT get the overage. I have a very cool manager at my local Rite Aid and he does allow overage on Video Values coupons. He thinks that if Rite Aid is willing to put out the values on these coupons, then he is OK with accepting those coupons at face value and not reducing the value.

If you don’t feel comfortable doing this deal, then don’t do it and move along. If you don’t like some of the deals I post on my site, then you’re welcome to go to another site.

    • Anonymous

      Amen sister!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Especially JULIE! Seriously people, we choose what we do and do not want to do. If you do not want to go to the store and get the $10 overage, then do not do it; There is a whole page full of deals awaiting you, do those instead. How about this, start your own blog with only the things you deep appropriate. I have been coming to this site for a year now, and I absolutuly love it! I am a young stay at home mom and I love all of the money Collin has helped me save. Let us remember, she is a person, a person who cares, so take your negative comments toward her and flush them down the toilet (that is what I tell my 3yr old to do w/his attitude;))

      • Anonymous

every name on here is connected to an actual person, Julie included, so we shouldn’t be attacking anyone personally….

    • Krista

I LOVE your last sentence. That totally made my day! I wouldn’t know what to do without my Hiptosave site! I think I might just stop breathing!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Jo Ann

Thank you! Well said. I’m glad you finally posted a comment about this. Very classy way to handle this situation. You do a good job helping others (especially me) with the good deals that are out there. I hope you never believe otherwise!

    • Susan

Right On Collin! Keep on doing the right thing! ๐Ÿ™‚ I love your site!

    • Jessica K

      You rock girl!

    • Christa K.

I think it’s also worth mentioning that the Rite Aid Coupon Acceptance Policy is a guideline to customers to assist them in shopping at their store. Even the reference to the ‘overage/item selling price’ part of the coupon policy is listed under “general guidelines.” Bus as Collin indicates about the manager at her local Rite Aid, any final decision on what is allowed is left to the manager’s discretion – both stores and corporate will tell you that. This can work to the customer’s frustration when the policy “allows” stacking coupons, for example, but despite the policy a manager says it’s not allowed. Or it can work to the customer’s benefit if a manager is more lenient in the policy.

I don’t think Collin is “promoting” the use of overage either way. She’s simply reporting that some people’s Rite Aids are permitting the use of a particular RITE AID coupon with a RITE AID sale. Don’t you people have better things to do than beat up on Collin as you try to police Rite Aid for them? ๐Ÿ˜›

    • Heather

I just got the deal. I have a cool manager at my rite aid too. They even had a sticker at the monitor indicating that there was a $40 coupon on their website for it. Anyway, it worked. Didn’t realize I also had another coupon for it from the paper or that sweet deal would have been much sweeter!

    • Kimberly

if you dont like the deal that she posted DONT GO TO THE STORE TO GET IT!!! But leave the rest of us who want to get that deal alone!! I LOVE THIS SITE AND IT’S THE ONLY ONE I USE AND THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK

    • Lighthousefam

Well said! I think we go to the same store and my cashier refused to adjust it down since the system accepted the $40 coupon. I was thrilled just to get it for free since my sister in law can’t afford a meter and desperately needs one.

    • Priscilla

Collin… You ROCK! The manager at my RA is the same way as your so I got my overage and used it to buy Halloween candy. I did not need to bully him, he did it and told me thats how he interprets the coupon ๐Ÿ™‚ I got $25 of Halloween candy, Beyer meter (for my dad), diapers (for my 2 babies), and NYC make-up/ nail color (for ME!) for $16.00 OOP incl tax and received $13 in RR ๐Ÿ™‚ Very cool deal I was so excited. I lost my job and money is tight so i was able to provide halloween treats to the neighborhood kiddies (I get to leave my porch light on!!!), get some life neccessities, and a treat for me.
Thank you for all that you do!

Because of you we have hardly any generics… all name brand goods at prices that generics cant touch! You make couponing fun and easy!

  10. Cheyne

If you want to stack, there is also a manufacturers coupon in the 8/8 SS for $10 off a Bayer meter. As Collin stated, this may or may not work.

    • Cheyne

      Sorry. 8/8 RP

  11. Jessica

Thanks girl for all you do. This is my favorite deal site out there and I love that you find awesome deals like this!!

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Overage or no overage, this is still a great deal if you know someone that needs a meter. Use a $5/$25 Q and have the VV coupon adjusted down. Free meter and the $5/$25 gives you back what you pay in tax, (assuming you pay tax on medical supplies—I know I do.) You can feel good about donating the meter and make a couple of bucks in the process for your time and gas. Where’s the problem???????

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

you guys are lucky in ny they want $75.99 for it with coupon not a bad price but maybe they will go one sale soon. I know 4 people that could use this. And to the people that are being so damn mean on here YOU ACT LIKE YOU NEVER LET OVERAGE GO THRU ON YOU ORDERS BEFOR WHEN YOUR PAYING WITH RR OR CATS YOU PUT IN A FILLER ITEM RIGHT WELL GUESS WHAT THATS OVERAGE!!!! THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW NASTY NACEY’S ON HERE IN THE PAST FEW DAYS!!! NOW BE NICE AND HAPPY COUPONING!!! WE ALL WANT TO GET A GOOD DEAL SO BE HAPPY THERE IS SOMEONE OUT THE LIKE COLLIN AND THE GANG TO HELP US FIND ONE WE DONT FIND OUR SELFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      i’m live in ny.
      price is $75.99 ????

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

not to get into semantics, but what you described is not overage.

      • Christina

lol, thats because you live in NYC! My sisters live there and everything is like double what it is here (buffalo)! But I still think the city rocks! ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Amy

A fellow Buffalonian here! Hello ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Jamie Foster

Did you have someone price check it for you? I live in Kelso, WA and the tag on the shelf said $75.99 as well but when the cashier checked the price it was $29.99 in the system!!

      • SL

Same here in Ohio. Sale price = $29.99 after a price check. No overage. ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Kelsey

Hey guys! Just wanted to give a heads up – I saw a lot of people stating it’s not on sale at their store. I just got back from my local Rite Aid and it was marked as $74.99. However, I asked a cashier to scan it and sure enough it rang up @ $29.99!! Worth having them scan and check it before you assume it’s not on sale!

  15. Jenna

Thanks Collin for the awesome deal…I had the cashier adjust my coupon down to $29.99, I got a free meter and used the $5/$25 to score $5 of products for free!

  16. Malissa

HI. I just got back from Rite Aid and used the $40.00 coupon without any problems. I picked up the Bayer Monitor – I thought I had gotten the 29.99 one but the one I got was only 15.99 and they gave me all the overage. I had to scramble to find more fillers to make the 40.00 – my Rite Aid is usually ok with it – especially when it is a Rite Aid coupon.

    • Phillis

I had this happen to me too! I think we must have picked up the wrong meter…oops….

    • kristie

This is the problem that people were trying to avoid. You bought the wrong item and used the coupon anyway. Quickest way to get video values taken down. Hopefully this post is deleted before others try to duplicate this sale.

  17. Jessica

has anyone done this deal in nc, yet? I just watched the VV and printed my coupon. I love my manager at my RA she is so helpful and gives me rainchecks for everything they dont have…gonna try later today..

    • audrey

I live in NC too if you try this and it works LMK I have a friend with a DS with diabetes and would love to donate to her as she has always broke!

      • TKG0503

Where do you guys live? I live in Greenville but did my deal in Washington and it was the time from hell! The cashier and “manager” who ended up having to call “big brother” gave me the hardest time and it was only because they couldn’t believe I was getting such a good deal! I can’t even describe it it was so bad but I stood my ground! Now I’m donating my meter! Woo!

  18. Joanna

Just went and got one. It was on sale and I also got 1 sonicare toothbrush on sale BOGO 1/2 price. The store only had one of the toothbrushes, but it rang up 25% off. I had a $40 coupon for the meter and $25 coupon for the toothbrush, and $5 off $20 RA coupon. Spent $28.86. Donated the meter to my son’s school, and found out there there was a child in kindergarden that recently found out he was diabetic and would be getting this item at the end of the day.

  19. WynetteC

I did the deal this morning, (Got one Meter = $29) but I had a lot of problems just getting my UP rewardss to work! None of my UPs would work to pay for any of the subtotal and they were the ones I earned yesterday from the NYC deal. I also had 1 older UP from a few days ago, it also wouldn’t work and said “Coupon Invalid” when she tried to scan it. The $40 Video values coupon was adjusted to $29, and I had other items which brought the total well above the meter’s cost thinking overage might apply to them but it didn’t since the coupon was adjusted down. But regardless, this is a free meter and I am excited to have the opportunity to use it, just need to find out about the test strips because I bet I have to buy them separately.
I am just wondering what’s the hang up in the UPs not working for me. ??? I did use a $4 off $20 on my total purchase since it was almost $50 before any deductions, and I had a print out for 10% off, I wonder if these cannot be combined with UPs in the same transaction anymore.

    • WynetteC

Woohoo! on a side note, it includes 25 test strips inside the box! ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My UPS did not work either. Must be something going on with their systems.

      • WynetteC

Yep. Just spoke back with my store and she said something was wrong and when she had contacted whoever, that they were looking into the problem. She said that my UPs are valid. But the problem was being worked on. Had a bit of a scare!

        • Rei

My Up rewards did the same this morning!

          • couponluver

mine didn’t work either!!! Very frustrating…I hope they get it fixed asap!

  20. Darlene Bishop

It worked for me … I used the 10.00 credit toward a pillow pet for my daugther ! 7.00 for Pillow Pet – You can’t beat that price !

  21. Erica

I just went and picked one up this morning. They were priced at $29.99 and they adjusted my coupon down which was fine because it was still free. I figure I’ll see if my brother in law needs or wants it and if not, I’ll see if I can donate it or something…

  22. Cathy K

I spoke with my RIte AId Manager this morning about it. He called corporate and they said that as long as it is a rite aid video value that they honor the full coupon savings. They said it is not coupon fraud, as it is their coupon and their sale price. They were out of them, but I got a 30 day rain check on the price. My husband (type 1) is very excited about this meter. He travels constantly, and has a hard time remembering to input his blood sugar readings into his dayplanner. This is really going to help him out, if I can get one, that is.

On a side note, Collin. You are spectacular. Always remember the few that give you grief will never outnumber the people that rely on you and love ya!

  23. Katie S

I did this deal this morning and it worked out great!!

  24. Sondra

Hey! Just thought I would let you know that I used the coupon this AM at my local Rite Aid, the cashier gave me a REALLY hard time because she said she couldn’t give me more than I was paying. She acted like I was stealing. I politely said, I’m not looking for the extra $10, just the free meter since I am using a legit Rite Aid Video Value coupon. After further grumbling and a prompt “I need a manager for all this”, the manager put my coupon down to $29.99. I’m still fine with it……either way a FREE monitor that is regularly priced $75.99….not too shabby! And I ended up paying only $4.67 for my other items out of pocket and received $9 in UP rewards. Not complaining….thanks soo much for all you do! I would have never even noticed if I hadn’t read it on your blog! You ROCK!!

  25. Melody

Unfortunately I did not get to see what Julie had to say…..that being said, my son is a type 1 diabetic and when I saw this post I wanted it so bad for him as we just switched to this type of meter that the hospital gave us but they only gave us one. THANK YOU COLLIN!!!!!! I love this site and a few others out there and I have caught the “looking for a good deal bug,” however, I do think certain things should be saved for people who truly need them, like handicapped spaces in parking lots and meters for people with diabetes. I think some people take this too far as I have witnessed ladies getting to the stores prior to me only to buy up all the good deals because they bought a dozen newspapers. None of this is Collin’s doing! Regardless of “overage” or a lack there of…..Collin is being gracious, caring and informative!

Having managed a cancer support site for many years, I know first hand all the work Collin puts in with moderating and wanting to do her best to save us all money. Collin, YOU ARE AMAZING and you truly go beyond the calling of your site! No negative statements by anyone deserves to be listed here as people always have the choice to do as they wish.

Props to Collin (my son does musicals), for being the wonderful person she is!

    God Bless you All!
    Mel

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Obviously meters are being purchased to either donate (to people with diabetes) OR to give to family members who are diabetic. It’s not like people are buying them to throw them out or stick them in a closet for no one to use. I don’t see what the heck is the problem. Comparing it to taking handicapped spaces is ridiculous.

    • Crystal

I agree, it is sad to see that people buying these just to get the overage take the stock that someone who actually NEEDS it could use :(. Yeah, they will probably donate it or something, but there is still someone who needs it and could have gotten it free without the people who have multiple accounts and will probably buy 5 of these things just for the overage.

I think it is very comparable to taking a handicap parking spot, and it’s a matter of kindergarten level SHARING and being considerate of others. JMHO.

  26. Nicole

Ahhh I love you Collin! It worked great for me! Was able to get this for my grandmother and 10 bags of halloween candy for my tricker treaters all for $7!!! I’m so excited, you are awesome :0)

    • Nicole

      plus 10+up rewards back!!!! Yahoooo

  27. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

They adjusted my coupon done 29.99 which was fine, plus i bought band aids which brought my total over 30.00 and got a 5.00 dollar up reward i was happy

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

what kind of band aids ?

  28. debbie

theres only a 5.00 up reward when you but 30.00 dollars or more

    • WynetteC

I wonder why it didn’t work for me? I did almost $50 beyond the $29 meter and no UPs printed out. I wonder if it was brand specific.

    • lilroysmom2

why only 5 up rewards i thought it was 10?

  29. allie

Woo Hoo, awesome deal. I got the last 1 this am for my brother, whoes meter isn’t working right.
My Rite Aid is the best in the country, when I am shopping there the staff will ask me if I saw this deal or that deal, the manager even went with me to show me an unadvertised deal.

  30. cassie weaver

Thank you! I was able to do this deal as well and ended up getting the full value of the coupon–I even asked the manager(love him!) and he was fine with putting the full value of the coupon in-I ended up getting pullups, 4 packages of barilla pasta, pasta sauce, and a few other things to feed the family! Sure helped bring out grocery bill down a bit this week!

  31. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Worked like a charm! They gave me the full value of the coupon and I was able to get lots of other things as well! My sales lady was very impressed! THEN, came home to a mailbox full of goodies! $15.00 Applebees gift card, shampoo sample, coupon for a free tub of baby wipes and a tiny box of Kleenex!

    Thanks so much Collin!

    • Amy

Printed it. I am going up there later to see if it works. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

      • lilroysmom2

see i didnt think they would accept it because its over $5 and according to their policy they dont accept printed coupons over $5 i think…if i read it and interpreted it right LOL

  32. jeanineyomomma

my rite aid was out of the meters this AM . they gave me a rain check on the meter good for 30 days. thanks for the tip. my cousin is type 1 and he is always forgetting his meter when we go camping(at least 3X a year). this will be a great gift for him. he can keep it in the car so he will always have it with him. we love you collin!!!!

  33. Ivania

Collin, Tks for all you do. I was able to get this deal with the nice overage. I am not diabetic however I have a friend who is. She’ll be really blessed with this gift.

  34. Brandi

Got it! and Got my other stuff for free!! Awesome deal! Thanks so much!

  35. Susan

I got one this morning and am donating it, but at my Rite Aid there is a sign right next to the meter sale sign for $29.99 that says “$40 Video Value available for this item” so clearly they know it can be used on this.

    • lilroysmom2

      Thats awsome! woo hoo!

  36. Selene

You guys are all so lucky. My local RA (3 of them) all have very “difficult” managers. I didn’t even bother to try this deal because I KNOW it will be a problem.

Just today, I was only trying to get the NYC color cosmetics (buy 1 eye liner @$1.99 get 1 nail polish @$1.99 free with 2 $1 coupons) and the cashier wouldn’t let me. I called the manager and the manager was on the cashier’s side (good for them to be a team) and wouldn’t let me. I tried to use a VV coupon stacking with a Manufacturer’s coupon on an item (which we all know is allowed) and they wouldn’t let me!!!!!

So, I wouldn’t even try to do this deal even though it sounds so great.

Got me one for my mommy and the overage went towards the 3 huggies diaper deal. paid 1.46 for 3 packs of diapers and the meter and got 6+up rewards. You ROCK!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I got 2 meters and did them in separate transactions:

      Total:54.26
      – $5/25
      – $40 meter VV
      – $2 Huggies VV
      – $2 Zicam MQ (and also inside box) used 2 coupons = $-4
      – $2.50 Huggies IP
      Total $.76
      Rec’d (2) $2 Up+ for Zicam, $2 up+ Huggies, $(2) $1 up+ NYC = Total $8 – Net Profit $7.24
Rinse and Repeat for #2 transaction!! Total profit $14.48!! Woohoo! Thanks Collin for posting this awesome deals, we have a tight bugdet and this really helps out! My Mom and sister are both diabetics, they are going to be so excited, these monitors look like the BOMB as far as meters go – super cool!!! Thanks again for all the awesome deals that you share with us – I think you are the BOMB Collin ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi Luckygirl. Was wondering, did you the two transactions on one card or two cards? Do they let you use two of the same vv on one card?

  38. Shari R

Here’s my .02 for what’s it’s worth, I also found a $20 manufacturer coupon in the 10/31 Redplum that I received yesterday. I stacked it with the $40 ad perks coupon and bought the glucometer for $29.99. My store manager had no problem giving me the overage ($30) because I also bought a pillow pet and the $25 in candy. After coupons I owed $10 which I used up rewards and got back $12 in UP.

If the store manager has no issue, then I have no issue. Rite-aid put out the coupon $40 and then lowered the price from $75. If you have a problem with it then follow your conscience and don’t do it. Now matter what deals are posted no one can force you or such to buy them. For everyone that has an issue with it, have you ever received overage at all when using a manfacture coupon & combining with a store coupon? (even as little as .01) If so then you can say nothing.

I used 5 off 25 and got a 15.00 overage. I couldnt find the 20 mfg coupon in my RP.

  40. Bekah

Collin… THANK YOU!!! My husband is diabetic, so I jumped at this deal. I was able to get the meter, 3 packs of Huggies Pure & Natural, two Right Guard deodorants (B1G1 free coupon in this weeks RP), NYC nail polish and makeup for $9, with $8 back in +Ups, for a grand total of ONE DOLLAR!! You have no idea how much you have helped my family.

  41. Amy

Is the video values site not working for anyone else? This is disappointing ๐Ÿ™

  42. Keemara

I don’t know but I tried to get one for friend at church and they would not accept the coupon. ๐Ÿ™ Plus I had a cashier who can’t stand coupons who had an attitude with me the whole time. They even had an attitude with the Store Manager!!! I might try it again later on….

  43. Glenn

I tried to use my $40 coupon today but the cashier said they had a meeting this morning and were told not to take the coupon. Not only that, they would not adjust the coupon down to match the $29.99 price. Bummer!

    • Niki

If that is true, that doesn’t sound right. They put it on sale and give out coupon and they won’t honor it?
Adjusting coupon down is a fair way to do or else don’t put that meter on sale. That’s just my opinion.

    • Sangeetha

I went to my usual RA where the cashiers are always grumpy and they didn’t accept the $40 VVQ. But I went to another RA 5 miles from home and they adjusted the coupon to $29.99 and I got a free meter!

  44. Shannon

Hi everyone! I would love to try and get this deal! For those who got overage, did the Q beep at all?

    • Michelle L.

I was just going to post this question. I would like to know if it beeped also. Thanks.

    • Lighthousefam

I just did it and it didn’t beep at all. I got the overage too which was really nice since I also got the diapers and Renpure shampoo.

  45. shawniern

I just got this weeks RP and there is a $20 off a Bayer contour meter coupon… will they stack these… this could be potentially PRETTY SWEET…. will they honor the MFG coupon??? -THANKS!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just got it at my RA and used the $20 mq and $40 video Q, neither coupon beeped!! Awesome deal for my husband who has diabetes. Thank you so much for an amazing site!

      • shawniern

        SWEET!

      • Michelle L.

        Anon,

What state are you located in?

        • shawniern

          Ohio

      • tino

bs… it’s coded 00… the 20q will beep “cashier intervention”… it can’t possibley take off $20 automatically since there is no value code for $20… see https://www.glondon.com/coupon-value-code.pdf

  46. Dianne

I went on the ad perks website and it says that the coupon I am trying to access (guess which one) is not available. Did they pull it?

    • Dianne

I got that error message about 5 times but kept trying and now it loaded, I watched it, and it shows in my account. Thanks Collin, my sister is diabetic, Merry Christmas to her!

  47. Jessica Quick

I posted during the “ugliness” that got deleted but I don’t have a rite aid near by and would desperately love one of these for my 10 yr old son! If anyone has an extra I could sure use it! I had a lady email and haven’t heard back so I’m not sure if she was able to get the deal! I’m posting again just in case! Jwq1015@yahoo.com. Thank you and God Bless You! And Collin, u rock!

    • shawniern

I’ll see if I can snag one tomorrow!

    • Sarah

      Hi Jessica!
I was able to snag a fabulous deal on the monitor this morning and would love to send it to a good home ๐Ÿ™‚ So if you’re still interested, consider it yours. I also sent you an e-mail…Sarah

      • Michelle L.

        Sarah,

Out of curiosity, did you get overage from the $40 VV coupon, or the $20 MQ, or both?

  48. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You can use the $5/$25 coupon on this BUT YOU WILL NOT GET THE UP FOR THE BAYER DEAL! This meter is NOT part of the deal. I had plenty of Bayer products from the ad to throw in with this and and hit $30 but NO UPS PRINTED. Not a problem though as the meter was free and I know plenty of diabetics.

    Thanks so much Collin. ๐Ÿ™‚
