Reminder: Donate Water With One Click
I just wanted to say that you guys are amazing!! Just 4 days ago, I mentioned how cool it would be if Hip2Save readers contributed 5,000 days of safe drinking water. And last night, we broke 5,000 so let’s shoot for 10,000! I think we can do it! 🙂
For every person who enters their email address and then clicks on the “Click to Donate Water” button above, P&G is providing a DAY of clean drinking water (2 liters) to a person in a developing country through P&G’s Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program.
This is a great cause that we can all contribute to since it only requires a valid email address! Keep in mind that once you click on the “Donate Water” button above, you will immediately receive an email and you will need to click on the link in the email (your email address is only required to verify your click). You can enter your email address once per day so I will plan to do a daily reminder.

I’ve done it twice and no email came through. Not in junk mail either. Is anyone else receiving the confirmation emails?
I’ve received confirmation e-mails every day I’ve entered my e-mail address in the box on Collin’s post. I believe the only way the number continues to grow is when we click on the link in the confirmation e-mail, so I imagine many, many of us are in fact receiving the confirmation e-mails. Today’s did go to my Spam folder, though, and I had to retrieve it from there.
That is awesome!! How long will we be able to donate?
I believe we can donate until December 31, 2010 or until a total of 100,000 days of donated water has been reached.

Be sure to verify your click. I used my deals e-mail and forgot to check it until yesterday. I thought I had been donating all along, but it appears that you must verify the e-mail for clicks to count. HTH! 🙂

Cannot thank you enough for highlighting this every day. My niece/goddaughter is currently a Peace Corp volunteer in Lesotho, Africa. She has no electricity or running water in her village. Good reminder of the things we take for granted everyday that are not available to everyone on this earth!
