    This is AWESOME! Thank you!!

    • Kelly

It did not work for me, is the program over now?

  2. Lisa

What an awesome deal! Can this program be downloaded onto a MAC and a PC? We have two laptops, just wondering.

    • Pandora

On the bottom left hand corner (after you click the link from the email) it shows a picture of the Mac version and if you just add that to your cart and click check out you can have it on your Mac. I am soooo excited because I have a Mac and have been asking my classmates if any of them have an extra copy they were willing to give me, but had no success! Thank goodness for not having to spend $100+ on this program!!

      • Karen

Where you able to use one key code for both laptops I am using a laptop and a netbook.

  3. Jesi

    wow! good lookin-out collin!

  4. Sarah Nation

Is Anyone Having Problems With this? Its Not letting me do it, And i know The Email Address Is right.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yes I am having problems with it and my husbands email is also correct we need help!

      • Char

We also had a problem. My husband tried 2 different .mil addresses he has

  5. Liz

Does anyone know if this is legit? It’s not at microsoft.com … I am a bit worried that it’s a scam.

    • Kimberly

Yes it’s legit. My husband is a DOD civilian and we got our copy of Office 2007 through the home use program.

    • Elizabeth

We also did this about 5 months ago and can agree that this is definately legit!

  6. Allison

Anyone know what email address they are looking for? My in laws are part of the military so was going to tell them about this. Thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just put my e-mail(not .mil) and the code , they send me an e-mail for the link to buy and down load.

  7. christine

This is not working for me either. I tried both our .mil and regular e-mail addresses. Darn!

  8. Lara Babot

I don’t understand…it wouldn’t let me use our .mil account, but it would let me use my gmail account…

I too am wondering how legit this is…

  9. Rick

This doesn’t work. I tried my ship “.mil”, my “@navy.mil”, and my home email. None of them worked. It’s probably a scam to get me to click on this link on my government computer. I probably just introduced a virus on a DOD network. Yippee..

    • Rick

      Hmm. My gmail account worked…..

  10. Nita

It wont let me use my .mil addrss either. It say,
We are sorry, but we are unable to complete your request.
    The following problem(s) exist:

    * We are unable to qualify you with the email domain and program code you have provided. You are likely no longer eligible for the program. If you feel you have reached this in error, please confirm with your benefits administrator that the program code and email domain being used are correct.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Don’t use the military address use your hotmail, yahoo, gmail. or whatever you have. I used gmail and it worked great!

      • Amy

It only seemed to work for the gmail address.

      • Elke

where do i get the code from?I gave my .mil Email in

    • Kelly

It did not work for me is the deal over now?

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I don’t know why it says military deal because I tried my husbands military address and it doesn’t work. I did put in my gmail e-mail address and I got the deal.

    • Amy

Wow…that’s really weird. It worked with my gmail address too. hmmmmm….

  12. Amy

It didn’t work for me with my military email address.

  13. Alexandria

To those who are having issues with this: I googled “Microsoft Home Use Program” and it is referenced on the Microsoft.com site. When I click the link it takes me to the site Collin has posted.

It appears to be legit, although I’m not sure why gmail addresses work but not goverment addresses.

    • Elke

where do I get the code from?????

  14. Wanda H

my .mil email worked, I have already ordered and downloading it now. Thanks Collin

  15. cicmommy

my hubbies .mil worked… not sure why others are having issues.. I did add there address as a new contact.. HTH
    sar
    p.s. thanks Collin!

  16. Michelle W.

My husband’s .mil email worked as well. We did this last week and have already downloaded the program.

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmmm didn’t work with my husbands work email either. Worked just fine with my gmail email though.

  18. Jennifer B.

I can’t say for sure, but I’m willing to guess the reason for those experiencing problems when using the .mil addresses. I believe it has to do with the Program Code being associated with a specific location.

My husband (active duty) ordered the Home Use Program (HUP) several months ago. In the time it took him to actually sit down at home to load it, his base’s Program Code had already changed and wouldn’t work. Many, many, phone calls later, they figured this out and he was able to get the new Program Code which worked fine.

I am thinking that the .mil addresses already have their own associated Program Codes that do not match the one Collin has posted. I know that at the time my husband originally ordered, his Program Code was for good for three different bases and there was a different Program Code good for two other bases in his command.

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

can somebody please post the download link. I purchased it, have the confirmation number and product key, but I cannot click on the link in the email! THANKS

  20. Laura

They have this same Home Use program at my job and it’s legit, I’ve been using MS Office 2010 for a few months…

    • marlene

Thank you Jamie! I got it to work. My husband was able to send me the link.

    • Lucie

It asked for the product code which I did not have. I put the activation code instead but it requires more characters

    • Lucie

Can anyone tell me if this product is still available?

  21. Letty

If we use our personal email such as gmail will they charge us the full amount or 9.95? My mil email did not work.So I went ahead and put in my gmail.

  22. Debbie

does anybody know if this is good only for Win 7 or is it good for Vista as well. thanks!

this is legit, we’ve purchased through them before, just not sure if this is good for Vista.

    • Wanda H

      It should work with Vista

    • Lynn

We have downloaded it and it is working fine with Vista

  23. Alice

I used my personal e-mail address and it worked out just fine. I had to add the e-mail address they gave me (hup.us@digitalriver.com) to my contact list before resending the request. Thanks Collin!!

  24. Dan

I am also having trouble getting to the download site…is the party over?

  25. Lynn

    Thanks Collin,
It wouldn’t work with .mil email but worked fine with G-mail.

  26. JLP

    got it to work

  27. Missy

Thank you so much Collin and all of you that posted info and feedback. I also found that it accepted my private email address. When looking at the fine print which I am not sure I understand, something to the effect of being an employee, and to send the link to a co worker (?).

However, the key worked just fine and it installed great, plus seems to be much better than 2007 Pro. Checked did a virus scan first and it went well.

    Very very blessed!

    Thank you so much…

  28. Tracy

My husband was made aware of this program several weeks ago through work and received this follow up e-mail. “The Army is not currently enrolled in a Home Use Program with Microsoft. We just learned today, that regretfully, the code provided in the message sent out belongs to the USAF Air Combat Command. Although they have associated an us.army.mil domain name with this code, it is only intended to be used by USAF Air Combat Command eligible personnel (in some cases supporting army organizations). Any other use of this program outside of the USAF Air Combat Command would be a licensing violation. Unfortunately, the Army was unable to fund the Home Use Program for the current Enterprise Agreement. This means that Army personnel will not be able to take advantage of this amazing program. Please accept my sincere apology for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused.”

  29. TM

I tried to get this great deal on 21 Nov, but got a notice that I was no longer eligible. Does this mean the program is over, or is there a different program code? Please advise. Thank you, TM

  30. Ronnie

Just so you all know, the Home Use Program is for DoD/military employees and NOT solely for family members. The entire reason the program is around is so that military members can have the same programs they require to perform their duties in the workcenter on their home computer. And, there are guidelines for using the program, such as uninstalling the program once employment has terminated and you are no longer eligible for HUP. Codes like this being passed out on the internet is not only negligent, it’s illegal. The reason it is only $10 is because the DoD/military paid a contract price to Microsoft to make it available. So, while it looks like a “steal”, not everyone is legally eligible for the software. Just a little tidbit of information and the reason many may be running into issues. And, remember, Microsoft will have all of your contact information now as well.

  31. Tyler

My .mil address doesn’t work any help or suggestions would be helpful thank you.

  32. Billy

For all that are wondering, this is a legit program however it no longer works for AKO email addresses. For those of you that are deployed i can confirm that it still works for @afghan.swa.army.mil email address

  33. Joe Koopman

I need to download the 2010 version of microsoft office.

  34. Joe Koopman

I need 2010 version of microsoft office downloaded on my computer

  35. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This is not working fror me!!!!!!!!

    • Collin

This offer must now be expired as it was posted a long time ago. 🙁 Sorry.

  36. Warren Johnson

This is not working for any of my email addresses. Does this code still work?

  37. wjtoday

Does anyone know of any kind of new offer?

  38. SSGYATES

If you put your AKO email in, the email they send you may get pushed to your spam folder. It happens alot when I have emails sent to me from yahoo with links attached.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’ve tried numerous times on AKO and yahoo email…still nothing!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re serious? Have you read anything in the above thread? Like contract over, only USAF combat command personnel eligible, no one in the Army eligible, so no AKO. All that stuff?

  39. Mike Howard

How unethical for Microsoft to allow this misperception. The Home Use Program for military across the board ended last year. They should clear this up.

    • Erik

No Mike the deal runs from various times throughout the year. I missed out on it last year thinking it would be around forever and when I tried the code it was no longer valid. However about 3 months ago I got an email at my navy.mil account saying the program was being relaunched and I did mange to get in on that one. So it’s not Microsoft being unethical for running the ad it’s just that you have to wait again until your command runs the deal again. Warning however. Know if your computer supports the requirements because my computer apparently doesn’t. When I try to run the install I keep getting an error message saying I need an
x86 platform or an x64 platform. Anyone know what the hell this means?

  40. Elke

how do I get the code?it is not working with my .mil Email

  41. Orlando

How do i find out who is the benefits coordinator for this promotion? I am in the USN and my .mil email didn’t work….

    • Tommy

My mistake, the program with the ARMY is no longer valid. Apparently, Microsoft doesn’t give anymore shits for us…

    • Nathaniel Davis

      Whats the new program code?

    • Margo

The Home Use Program is a benefit of Software Assurance, one of Microsoft’s Volume Licensing programs. The US Army needs to (re)enroll in Software Assurance before any of its employees get a new program code.

  42. Hannah B

Can you purchase this from a government computer and then download to your personal computer?

  43. Robert

Just did it. Click on not sure of my Product code. Then it will ask for you email.
Add your .mil email and they should send you an email to get it. Then click on your email link and you can order it. Awesome Deal and allows you to get other products for $9.95 each also. Visio and Project Manager and Languages for Office.

  44. Greg Lawrence

I am a retired Veteran, are there any discounts for me and other not on active duty? If not there should be, Semper Fi!!

  45. Matthew

Avoid this is a scam all DOD and DOD civilian members avoid its a phishing scam and will use your email address for unauthorized use.

  46. Rich

This does not work, I have entered my email address, which is an @ .mil and it says it does not recognize as a .mil address??
    Why does this not work?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi there! This appears to be an old deal. 🙁
