I Am Thankful For…
OK, so I admit this is a little cheesy and something that I used to dread as a teenager, but I feel that it is necessary and so appropriate to share what I am thankful for this year. And what better day to share this with you than on Thanksgiving.

The fact that I am able to spend Thanksgiving with my whole family in Idaho surrounded by the mountains covered with over 2 feet of snow…

In the spirit of the holiday, what are YOU thankful for?
I am thankful that, although I live in Maryland, I am able to spend what will be a final Thanksgiving with my mother in Georgia who is terminally ill with COPD. It’s every tiny moment that counts now 🙂

I am thankful that one year ago today, my husband returned from Afghanistan to meet our sweet twins for the first time. It was a precious moment that I will never forget.

I’m thankful for everything, but especially for my DH. Luckily, he has a stable job, so I can be a SAHM now and spending my time with my 3 wonderful kiddos. I’ve been wanting my own happy family since I was a kid, and it came true. I can’t be thankful enough.

I am continually reminded how thankful I am for my sweet husband who was willing to spend 5 hours in the kitchen with me this morning making Thanksgiving dinner and who puts in all the hard work that he does at law school all day everyday. He’s amazing!

We used the “What Are You Thankful For” venue to announce my pregnancy today!
We have three children already, and though we eventually wanted four children, the timing of this one was a bit of an “oops.” I have had difficult pregnancies: one child was a 32-week-preemie and I was on bedrest for 2-1/2 months with the last. But we wanted to express that we are truly thankful!
So we announced, “We are thankful for our children–the ones you see and the one you can’t. (Well, hopefully just one!)”
It was a shock to everyone–we will have four children, four and under next summer! But yes, we are thankful for each one! They bring us such joy, and they are truly gifts from God!

I wanted to thank you for all that you have given your readers each and every day – your dedication, determination and true enthusiasm in what you do translates and we all appreciate you.
I am so very thankful for my family and friends who have supported and loved me through my personal challenge and angst this year of being unemployed – you all know who you are and I feel truly blessed! I wake up everyday and try to pay it forward to make a difference in someone else’s life.
Today, I found out that someone broke into my house in the past 48 hours. (I left town on Tuesday.) While the television I just bought last week was stolen, I am grateful that what was stolen was just stuff. It’s inconvenient and unpleasant, but I am healthy and spending a few days surrounded by my amazing family. I am also thankful for my fabulous pet/house sitter who dealt with all of this today, going above and beyond the call of duty. And to her dad who came to my house on Thanksgiving to fix the window.
I have a good job, a full pantry, a great family, wonderful friends, and my health. I am truly blessed.

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving! Like everyone else, I’m thankful for my daughters, my husband, and my good friends. I enjoy being a mother, wife, and friend. I’m thankful that I’ve been able to be a SAHM for the past several years, and that I’ve had that time to spend with my family. I’m thankful that I’ve had the opportunity to share my love of God with the kids at my church as a volunteer for the past several years as the kids teacher at my small church (grades K-8). I’m also thankful that at my house, even though everyone gets presents at Christmas, we put more emphasis on celebrating Jesus’ birthday instead of celebrating ourselves with crazy numbers of expensive gifts, because we are able to enjoy the Christmas season instead of being stressed out.

This year I’m thankful to live in an apartment that is fairly new with appliances that work and no mold growing in the windows. I’m thankful to be near some family. I’m thankful that I only have a 11 days until this baby comes! 🙂
