I tried the 99 cents cards yesterday (my store doesn’t have 49 cents cards) & they worked. So 6 cards were about $1 after the $5 rr & 2 cards were free after $2 rr, etc.

    • Marlene

I did this too. I’d rather have 5 cards I’ll use for birthdays etc. I used 5RR from last week and got 5RR back.
The scenario on the Hershey’s sounds like a lot of coupons or is it just me? I think my poor cashier would be at a complete loss.

      • Crunchy Deals

        I just did the 5 cards @ .99 each . . . I only got $2 RR back . . . I’m a bit confused, but all in all it’s still a good deal!

        • Leslie

You need to buy 6 cards in order to get a $5 reward if I understand this right.

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

i bought 6 of the $0.99 hallmark card and got $2 back in RR any help here…i want $3 back if not i’m returning some of them no matter what

At the Jackonville, North Carolina Walgreens (at Country Club and Western), the buy 6, get $5 JR was not working. They made it good for me, but the machine is only spitting out $2 JR. On a better note, I saved $103 at the commissary yesterday, paying only $145 for an over-flowing cartload of groceries! (We had no food in the house! LOL!)

    • Erin

Same thing happened to me in Gurnee, Illinois! They ended up taking the $2RR and giving me $5 giftcard.

    • Sarah

Same for me except it didn’t even print a $2RR. I told the cashier and when she called the manager, he went to the back and came back out and said there wasn’t any way they could print it there and handed me a form to send to get the RR. This reminded me why I stopped shopping at walgreens. CVS is much more helpful and I’ve never had a problem with stuff printing there.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

whoa you saved that much at the commissary!

  3. Linda

It’s actually smarter to buy two cards and get your full money back. I just bought five because the Hallmark rep said it was five and I didn’t check the ad. (Duh, me.) So, I ended up getting a refund fo the five and buying six and still, only the $2 JR printed. So, they actually printed me two more $2 JR and I actually ended up with $8 JR, $2 JR from the original transaction, $2 JR from the correct transaction and then they printed $2 JR twice more. It look a lot of time, though, and I didn’t get to the commissary till after 11:30 and didn’t get out until about 3 p.m.

    • Kathy P.

I am the rep at the Walgreens in Jacksonville, on Western. I informed you it was buy 6 cards get back $5 Jingle Cash. There were signs posted in the Hallmark aisle as well as a ad in the sales paper which you read because you questioned me if we had .49 cards. It only printed out $2 for some reason but you ended up with $8 in Jingle Cash. I’m not sure if it has been fixed or not. I do my best to help my customers find what the are looking for and I know that my managers do their best to fix errors when they occur. Also, the card that was shown in the post is a memory card/sympathy. I think that the reason that one was shown is that is one of the cheaper cards in the department. Not all stores have .49 cards.

      • Linda

Sorry, I heard five. Maybe it was wishful thinking! Anyway, it wall worked out in the end. I hope they get it fixed, but as we all agreed at the time, if it wasn’t that, it would have been something else–you’ve gotta love technology! I appreciate your willingness to help! Sorry for my error.

  4. Melody

I don’t get the concept of the cards? They look like ones you would see in a funeral home? May I hear a bit more about them and their use?

    Thanks,
    Mel

  5. pollyanna

Why would you want to buy those cards, when they give them to you at the funeral home, yeah its a money maker but your left with nothing but 5 stupid cards that you couldve gotten for free anyways and walked away with something actually useful like a Thank you card or something. Dont buy stuff for the sake of buying it if you not going to use it. THeres a reason its .49. Bc nobody in their right mind would pay more for it. lol

    • Melissa

I have to agree. I mean, my aunt passed away over the summer and I got a beautiful donation card that I didn’t even have to pay for. That one is so bland looking too. But to each his own I guess. Sometimes moneymakers aren’t always best!

    • Jeanie

If you don’t like the deals posted on this site, how about keeping those inappropriate comments to yourself? That’s rather disturbing when Collin spends quite a bit of time trying to find deals, posting them, then having comments like that posted.

      • Maria

        I AGREE!
JUST PASS THE DEAL ON MOVE ON! I BET YOU DON’T COMPLAIN OR SAY WHAT THE H*LL WHEN SHE FINDS AN AWESOME DEAL FOR YOU!

        • Kimberly

ROFLOL!!! 😉 You tell them honey….Some of these women get on my last nerve with their moaning. If they don’t like the deals, “SHUT UP” and keep it moving for goodness sake. You will always have these type of people no matter where you are in life..;)

          • Jennifer S

            LOL!! Well said!

          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)
          • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

            Kimberly,
If someone does not like a deal, I think they should have the freedom to express it. Many others might agree with them. Pollyanna wasn’t being negative or unappreciative…just voiced her opinion and got jumped on! Dang! Leave her alone! If you don’t like her comment how about YOU “SHUT UP and keep it moving for goodness sake!” In a later post today on “TODAYSHOW.COM Jill’s Steals and Deals” someone commented that the Gevena watches were not worth that price, it was not a good deal, and the watches could be gotten else where for cheaper.I AM SO GLAD SOMEONE SPOKE UP AND SAID THAT!!! I was about to buy one and it would have been a total rip off! No one is criticizing Collin. Just stating an opinion. Lets not make that a crime for heavens sake!! You are so negative…telling people they should shut up. So not nice. YOU are that type of person we find no matter where we are in life. Rude, in-your-face, argumentative. Hope you don’t have children.I can only imagine how they must talk to each other.

            • Kim W.

I agree, Amy. Collin is only one woman and even she depends on the opinions of others to determine if some deals are worth it or not or even if the deal works. We all need to help each other and if that means saying something negative about a deal, then that is how it is. Everyone just needs to learn how to say things in the nicest way possible. It’s not what you say, it’s how you say it!

For the Neli-Pot deal…where is the $3 rebate form? What pages are you talking about? Is it in the Walgreens Dec. Book? (I haven’t picked one up yet…). Please help.

    • Lori

I am also not finding the $5 at Neti, do you have to like them to get the Q?

I believe Collins said the $3 rebate would be in select packages.

      • Crunchy Deals

I found a package that said “save $3” and I assumed it was the rebate form . . .when I got home I realized it was actually a $3.00 off coupon and not a rebate . . . . I guess that’s what I get for assuming! 🙂

    • Candace

To get the Neti Pot coupon you go the NeilMed’s facebook pg, and yes you do have to like them, and click on the Neti Pot tab then click on the “recieve a $5 instant rebate” and they ask for your email and email you a link to a pdf. The rebate form was a peelie for $3 on the box I bought. I was worried it was gonna be a coupon but I looked at it before I bought it and it was a rebate form.

It only let me print out 1 candy kisses coupon and you need 2. Usually I get to print out 2 coupons but I guess not this time. Bummer and I don’t have another computer I can use. Oh well!! Thanks anyways though.

    • SwagSaver

Use the $1/2 Hershey’s Kisses from the SS 11/14/10 if you can’t print 2.

    • SwagSaver

Just use the $1/2 Hershey’s Kisses from the SS 11/14/10 if you can’t find someone to print an extra coupon for you.

      • Joyce Henry

        Thanks.

  9. Carrie

The Hershey’s deal is great, and it will be useful to get treats for my daughter’s class and stockings! Thank you for sharing! But can we use two of the kisses coupons for this since we are already using the buy two get one coupon? Wouldn’t we have to buy 8 total bags then? Course, even if we use just one of the kisses coupons, it still works out to only $1 a bag, I believe, which is still okay for me. 🙂

    • Sarah B

I was wondering the same thing! Didn’t get how we could use a buy 2 get 1 free coupon and a $1/2 coupon! I think I am going to use my coupons at Target for reese’s!! I love these way more than kisses!

    • SwagSaver

You don’t have to buy 8 bags. You buy 6. After using 2 B2G1 free coupons, you’re still paying for 4, so yes you can use TWO $1/2 coupons. Then make sure you use the Walgreens coupon from the December Instant Value Coupon book.

      • Carrie

Oh yeah, duh…now I see. 🙂 Thank you for clarifying! I always get confused on these BOGO coupons…lol. Thanks again for sharing! I’ll be running there on the way to school in a bit.

      • Sarah B

Thanks! I am new to this – well it has been 5 months, but I still don’t understand exactly how coupons work! Thanks for the help!

  10. lee

I’m confused, what is the funeral donation card? Do you give it with money to the family who lost a loved one? I’ve been to several funerals and held a funeral for my grandma and never saw these or recieved any. Is this a new concept?

  11. Jenny

I think the Donation In Memory cards are extremely useful:
    1) I don’t always go to the funeral but still want to acknowledge a death.
    2) People lose pets, too. When my neighbor lost a dog that our whole family knew and loved we made a donation to our local humane society and sent a notice to their family.

    • toni62864

It’s nice to read positive helpful comments like yours. Thanks, I would have never thought of this. I wasn’t going to bother with this deal, but now I will. Thanks again.

      • Susan

My Walgreens had these In Memory cards, but after looking through them I noticed that some were $0.29 and some were $0.49 – yes, the exact same card. I bought 6 of the $0.29 for $1.74 OOP and did get the $5RR back. You might want to check the pile at your Walgreens.

  12. JennyB

Speaking of Netipot rebates, has anyone received their rebate from the deal back in October. It was the one where you buy a netipot from Walgreens and then print out the online rebate form. The form got taken down before some people were able to print it. I printed it and submitted it but still have not received the rebate.

    • Kristina C

no, havent gotten mine… wait… it’s right here. guess didnt get it bc I didnt send it in. dang it!

  13. cindy

Is anyone else having trouble printing from coupons.com, it keeps telling me to install the printing app but I already have downloaded the info before, so I keep downloading it and it won’t work. Ugh!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Try completely uninstalling it and then installing it. Sometimes there is just a glitch and it needs to be completely removed first.

  14. Robin

OMG did anyone happen to watch the Neti Pot demo on Facebook? I went over there to see what the heck the thing was and got quite a show! Does anyone use things like that? I’m still cracking up…

    • Kristina C

I was sooooooo hesitant to try it but everyone says they are so great, so when they did a free giveaway over the summer I signed up for it and got a free netipot in the mail. About 6 weeks ago I had a sinus infection I couldnt kick so pulled it out and used it. Wow. I have never gotten so much instantaneous relief before! well, other than taking a steamy shower, and that doesnt last as long as this did. It is kinda weird and takes some getting used to, but it doesnt feel like you are drowning, which is what really made me hesitant. try it!!!

    • Sherry

I was leery about trying this too but I have to say, the Neti pot is AMAZING! I have chronic sinus infections and since I’ve started using the Neti pot I went from having 2 or more infections a month to NONE in the last 4 months! I got mine free during one of the deals over the summer. I love it!

  15. melissa stevenson

Where have you all found the “bright at beautiful gift guide?” I haven’t been able to find it in walgreens.

    • Kristin

They are at the cosmetic counter.

  16. Gina

I don’t understand how the neti-pot coupon works as I don’t see the form to fill out. Does anybody know? Thanks in advance.

    • Candace

To get the Neti Pot coupon you go the NeilMed’s facebook pg and click on the Neti Pot tab then click on the “recieve a $5 instant rebate” and they ask for your email and email you a link to a pdf. Does anyone know — are the four day deals different than the original ad we got in Sunday’s paper? I’m a little confused about that.

    • Gina

Yes they are different deals however my understanding is the other deals still apply for the rest of the week as that’s how it worked last time.

  18. Kristen Anne

Grrr the Walgreens I go to by my work is so un-coupon friendly. They always call the manager over and just yesterday I tried to buy the greeting cards for $.99 cents and get a $2 dollar RR. I paid for the cards and no reward printed so I asked if I could return it…they called the manager I explained it to him and he said I had to buy the Christmas card packs (which were 10 dollars or more) even though it never said that anywhere on the ad. SO I had to go to a different register to return it and it took forever… Once I overheard him yelling at a woman who was upset with no RR’s printing and he said it was bc she used a MQ on the item, I just hate when the people on here know more about the coupon policy than the store managers do!! Frustrating~

    • Claudette

Have you tried calling corporate? A couple of month ago, Wags wouldn’t take a MQ because it was more than the sale price. I had their policy printed to show them but they still wouldn’t take it. As soon as I got to my car, I call corporate and gave them the name of the cashier and the manager’s name on duty and explain what I was tried to buy. The very next day, the store manager called me to apologize!! I was so surprised. I haven’t had any more coupon problems and have been loyal ever since. I love my Wags!!!

  19. Sara W

I went today and got 6 of the .99 birthday cards and a $5 JR printed with no problem. I did get a good laugh though when the cashier ripped up the JR from the person in front of me who forgot it (or she forgot to give it to them). When she saw the horrified look on my face she said “No one uses those anyway” HA!

  20. stephanie

I have a question??? I went to Walgreens tonight and bought the Neti pot and they took the $5 manufacturers coupon and the $2 Walgreens coupon, but they would not take the $3 dollar coupon. The register kept rejecting it because it was another manufacturer coupon. Do I mail it in, or just say forget it? Thanks for the help!

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went tonight and bought 6 bags of hershey’s kisses… used 2 of the b2g1 coupons and two $1/2 coupons…. and had him try to use the IVC from the book for $1/2 and it was a no go. Apparently the bags that work on the IVC is 8-8.5 ounces, but the ones on the manufacturer’s coupon is 10oz or bigger. sigh. Still a good deal though… 🙂

  22. Amy

The netti pot coupon is gone off of facebook…there is only a $5 mail in rebate form to print and mail if you buy it at Walmart.

  23. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

omg i found out what my problem was the cashier only scanned 5 of the hallmark cards and i got 6 that’s whhy it printed out a $2 register reward instead of $5. so i return 3 of them today and the manager & this cashier was like thinking that i was getting all of them for free. she started to laugh and sometimes the store doesn’t like to give out free things to the customers she was so RUDE for laughing. so now i’m goin to return all of them and get the same ones again so this time i would get a $5 coupon.
