I have heard how people score such great deals at Childrens Place but I’m looking my stepson who is a size 5T/6T and it doesn’t seem like there are any great deals. All the long sleeved shirts are 6.99 so 5.30 after the 20% and the jeans are $14 so 11.20 after the 20%. And then you add in the shipping of $5. So if I buy 3 shirts 15.90 plus pants 11.20 plus shipping 5 equals 31.10 plus tax. Is that average for boys clothes? I’m used to buying toddler clothes for my kids on clearance for $3 or less for shirts and pants but maybe it all goes up when you get to bigger sizes? If anyone has any insight as to whether this will be a good deal compared to me hitting up the clearance at a department store or even going to walmart, I would much appreciate your comments. Thank you!

Another way to maximize savings at Childrens Place is to get their credit card. At the beginning of the year, once you purchase an “X” $, they send you a sticker to put on the card for an additional 10% off on top of coupons! And also, sign up for the place perks. It’ another program with them, to get $ certificates after each $75 spent.

I’m finding that the prices DO go up as the sizes go up. My oldest son just outgrew the “toddler” sizes, and I definitely can’t find the prices I’m used to. I guess we’ll just have to get used to a different price point. 😉

This is an excellent deal in my opinion for Children’s Place jeans and shirts. I love the quality of their products as my kids have worn their clothes for years and they last through it all. I bought jeans and cords for my kids last year and they are wearing them for the 2nd year in a row and still look almost new. Much better quality then Walmart or even Old Navy. That is just my opinion though but hope that helps.

    • Laura

I agree with Stephanie the quality is much better than WM, and ON

I think their quality exceeds Gymboree too (which isn’t hard … I’ve had so many flaws with Gymboree clothes it’s ridiculous especially for what they charge). Love Children’s Place!

Just wanted to chime in that I agree with Stephanie. I bought some clothes a few months ago during one of their sales and was very impressed with the quality. Much better than ON and WM and reasonably priced too (to me, Gymboree is pretty outrageous, unless they have a good sale). My daughter is smaller so it’s nice to know it will last until she grows into the next size.

I do love th quality of their clothes too. But I sometimes find that some of their clothes fit odd. Some run large and some are true to size, although the same size. I think theirs run a bit larger than that of Old Navy.

Did anyone else have this problem, after my code, it said I got $8.99 off, but my total didnt change???

  4. kate

    Uh, nevermind :p.

Maybe this is a different code but the one I got in my email said to get 20% off to put in SANTA20.

I rarely purchase from Childrens place but the quality seems equlivant to ON. I was shocked that Gymboree had 50% off yesterday. Gap had 40% ON and CP didn’t have that great of deals. IMO Gymboree & Gap have the best quality. Can beat $10 jeans from ON. Wait until after Christmas Gymbo pulls put last years summer stuff and it is cheap cheap I mean like 2.99. That is when I get tons of clothes for my kiddos. Gap will do similar sales although not as good as Gymbo. If your kids need clothes this is a great deal.

Does anybody know of a free shipping code to use instead of 20% off? I only want to buy a couple of things and when you add $5 to the total they’re not really deals anymore…

    • Jem

You can call the store and ask for a free shipping code. YMMV though. One of the stores close to my house does not have a problem giving me one.

I just placed an order and just a heads up there are also a ton of flip flops on clearance for 1.99 so 1.59 after the 20% off. I got all my girls a pair for next summer. Yeah!!

This is not a smoking deal for what I’ve seen at CP. I have seen their clearance at 50% off PLUS a 20% coupon. I snagged shorts for my son for $2 at the end of the summer this past year. That being said, this is still a pretty good deal, especially considering the time of the year. You are better off shopping online, though. Most of the prices online are lower than the store I visited today… and the crowd was VICIOUS.
