RR is Register Rewards, it’s essentially Walgreen’s “Bucks” that you can use toward your next purchase. SS is SmartSource, it’s a coupon insert in your Sunday Newspaper. The date that goes with the SmartSource indicates which Sunday coupon insert it comes from. Hope this helps!
Your best bet is to watch some of Collin’s videos on you tube. They are great and very informative for new couponers. Good luck and happy couponing.
RR is register rewards, they print out after your purchase when you buy eligible items at walgreens. my walgreens will allow me to buy items that earn RR in one transaction then turn around and use them in another transaction for the other items i am buying.
ss is smartsource, both a web site and one of the inserts with coupons that comes in a sunday paper. others are rp (red plum) and pg (proctor and gamble)

Just make sure you don’t use one RR for a product on a product made by the same company that will also produce a RR. (Example: Get a $5 RR for a Gillette razor, you can’t turn it over and buy another Gillette razor and use it and still get another $5 RR. It won’t print.)
I wish Rite Aid would have a deal like this on the Jergens lotion. I rarely get to Walgreens. The last time I got the Jergens lotion on a deal, I got the cocoa butter scent and smell like CHOCOLATE all day – it’s great.
Instead of Jergen’s why not go to RA and do a $4/20 deal on Aveeno products-including the 2.5 oz. Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion(tube).
I did a trans this morning, netting me not only 2 of these but also a BIG 16 oz. Lubriderm-that’s 3 nice lotions, 2 Hormel Completes, 1 Clean & Clear Scrub & 1 Aveeno Shampoo.
Use all your avail VV Q’s. in-ad Q’s and man & IP’s. My total before tax was .93 cents. I recv’d $11. Up’s as well as qualifying for the FREE Aveeno product.

Where do I find a list of the “monthly RRs”? Also I was wondering if I could purchase the smaller Jergens lotion on the far left of the picture. Would that still produce the RR?
Not sure if it would produce the RR or not, but the $3/2 coupon states 4 oz or larger, and the small one pictured is 3 oz. You could try to buy them and see if the RR prints, and if it doesn’t, just return the lotions. If your plan works, it’d be a nice way to get them for free! 🙂
It doesn’t work! you must buy two of the $6.99 jergens to get the RR. That was what my store said!

To go along with the Fiber One and Nature Valley granola bar sale I also received a Register Reward the more you purchase the bigger the reward I purchased 5 boxes and received a $3.50 register reward.
I bought 4 boxes of fiber one bars and got a 2.50RR! I sould have got one more! 🙂 It was a nice surprise this morning!

I never get the good coupons in my inserts. I don’t have the $3/2 jergens from 12/5SS. I also did not get the maalox coupon in my 1/09 inserts and i really would’ve liked to do these deals this week at Wags and CVS. Darn!

Quick question about RRs: can you use them on the day they expire, or do you have to use them the day before?
You can use them up to the day they expire. Some stores are even a little flexible about allowing them to be one or two days expired. It probably just depends on who is checking you out.

I tripped over this deal today…I went to get 5 Biore Steam Activated Cleansers 5 oz. $4.19 (which was marked at one store yesterday, the store today was not marked, but I had them price check it) because I had (5) $2/1 any Biore Product ($20.95 – $10 MC = $10.95 OOP – $5 RR = $5.95)!
I had purchase Orbit Gum and bought 4 packs for the price of one ($0.69 each with (2) B1G1 coupons) and 2 Tylenol Precise Patch for $5.99 each (used $6/2 coupon from SS coupon site). I received $3 RR for the Tylenol Precise Patch. So I got 2 patches for $3–and a FREE Breath Right Nasal Strips Coupon. I could not figure it out except I thought it must have been the Biore! It is always nice when you do not expect it! 🙂
On a separate transaction I bought 2 Brita Water Pitchers for $14.99 and used $2.00/1 WAGS booklet coupon and $5/1 take the pledge coupon, so I got two pitchers for $15.98 plus tax and hopefully these will fulfill the rebate online for $14.99 and I get 2 for $0.99. AND I got two FREE Breath Right Nasal Strips Coupon.

Has anyone tried the Jergens deal (or the granola bar deal) in Portland, OR? I am wondering if it’s generating the RR or bonus points.
I tried the jergens deal, but the RR didn’t came out, the manager helped me but at the end he said that the promo is only with the $6.99 jergens,So I returned my two jergens.!
