WooHoo! Check out what Old Navy just posted on their Facebook page:

This time of year you gotta to be ready for anything. So this weekend Old Navy has winter clearance items at up to 90% off original prices—that’s almost free! And we have new Spring styles at 30% off. So come to Old Navy this weekend. You’ll look great and save a ton.

Legal stuff:
Excludes jeans and gift cards. Discount applies to single unit pricing only. Valid in-store from 1/28/2011 through 1/30/2011. Not valid online. No adjustments on previous purchases. Cannot be combined with other offers or discounts including Gap Inc employee discount.

This awesome sale starts tomorrow, 1/28 at 9 am, so I would suggest heading over there on the early side to get the best selection. This is a great time to stock up on clothes for next year… you can’t beat 90% off winter apparel! Also, don’t forget to head over to Old Navy’s Barker’s Bones where you can “dig” for coupons like $5/$50 or $15/$75!

lol i was just looking at this two seconds ago on facebook! but its right before our payday, so im afraid this will be a no go for me 🙁

    • r.b

Yup, same here! The second week before payday is always a little tight, plus DH’s bday had to fall two days before it *facepalm*

    • Agnes

ogh same here and I have to save up to pay rent… oh tought times

    • andrea

Yeah. This is property tax month and we’re self-employed so it’s nearly time to make another tax payment to the IRS on our estimated taxes—-yikes!!!! So I won’t be doing any shopping any time soon. But I hope everyone who does go can snag some great bargains!! Here’s an off-topic question for you moms out there—does anyone know a good, inexpensive brand of boys’ jeans that are really sturdy?? Two of my boys are 8 and 6—I would love to be able to pass down the 8-yr-old’s outgrown jeans to the 6-yr-old—they are only one size apart!! But BOTH my boys constantly are putting rips in the knees of their jeans and I am so tired of always having to replace them before they outgrow them!!

      • Kari

My sister has twin boys age 7 and they wear through jeans like crazy. She buys hers at Sears. I’m not sure which brand but they have an awesome return policy. If they rip or get holes, even from rough boys, they exchange them no questions asked. I’d check with your local Sears to get more info, but hopefully this helps.

        • andrea

          thank you!!

  2. le85

Of course it starts tomorrow… I finally got myself to go today after having it on my mind for a couple of wks now… I have to say the store i went to had a VERY small selection.

  3. LC

They will price adjust within 14 days or so. Alls u need to do is take in ur receipts and have them scan them. Got 15.00 back the other day on my clearance buys 2 wks ago 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No adjustments on previous purchases. Cannot be combined with other offers or discounts including Gap Inc employee discount.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The 30 percent off the whole store thing cannot be price adjusted because it acts as a coupon not a sale in the register, if that makes sense.

But markdowns and additionals off clearance can be price adjusted within 14 days.

  4. amy

holy cow! 90% off! that’s insane. I had to go to Old Navy yesterday to return a couple things and it was 50% off. I took a quick look and they didn’t have a whole lot, but maybe for 90% off it requires another look!

    • Bianca

It will be 90% off regular price.

  5. Leighann

Woohoo I got a $10/$50 coupon. Hoping to score some good deals tomorrow.

  6. Jamie

    I got a $10 off $50…..Not bad!

  7. Randi

    I got a $10 off $50 too

  8. Christa K.

“Up to” 90% – will be interesting to see how much actually is. 🙂 Got a $10 off $50 q from ‘Barker’ though – so definite possibilities on getting deals!

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Right now at my Old Navy, it is 40% off the red ticket price. Does this mean that it will be 90% off the red ticket price tomorrow????

    • Maria

Anon, I think it means that after whatever extra % off you get, it will be about 90% off the retail price. It won’t be an additional 90% off. A couple of weeks ago, they were advertising up to 80% off and the additional markdown for clearance items was 40% off.

  10. LP

    yahoo….thank u thanks a lot

  11. Cassandra

Just to let some people know, if you don’t like the coupon you got from Barker’s Bones, you can dig again until you get one you like 🙂 Just don’t print the coupon, refresh and try again! I did it one day 4 different times (I didn’t print any of the coupons) until I got the $10 off $50 one.

    • JoR

      thanks

  12. JoR

I went today and they had additional 50% off on the clearance items. I got 3 skirts (1.49 each), 2 dresses (one was 0.45, the 2nd one 3.xx; both were around 30$ originally), 1 top and payed around 10$. I think this is like 90% off.
on the side, I scanned my CVS card today and got a coupon for 5$ off two revlon products. they had lipsticks for 75% off, so I got 2 for free.

  13. Craig

Thanks Collin! Went like what? last week or so for a previous mention and got a great zip down pullover on the cheap, cheap side! Woohooo. Asked the lady about the dog bowl thing with coupons and she had no idea what I was talking about. LOL. Oh well no biggy!.

Might have to stop in at another one that might have a bigger/diff. selection! Yay. Just got a $10/50 q too! Woot woot!

  14. Tricia

I dug until i got 10$ off 50- now to do some shopping.

  15. Cheryl

I went almost 2 weeks ago (when they advertised up to 80% off). I will stop by tomorrow to have a look, but I doubt much is left. Will they price adjust for the things I already purchased?

The employees don’t know very much about promotions etc. My store (manager) didn’t even know about the digging game. Also 2 days before the extra 40% off clearance (equally up to 80%), 4 different employees said they never heard of them doing that. Good thing I check the blogs! 🙂

I have to take a shirt back I got for my mom anyway. I’ll probably go through what I bought to make sure I want to keep it too. A lot of times I will buy on impulse just because it’s cheap, but then after I think about it, I really don’t even like what I got so it’s not worth even paying a few dollars for you know?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I work at Old Navy and In my store, we don’t know when it’s going to be additional 40 or 50 percent off until the morning of. Or when it’s going to end.

  16. sara

I went yesterday they had %50 off, but there is not much left though, just a heads up.

    • sara

well I went again this morning and is “up to 90% when taking the extra 30%off”. In other words is just a 30% off, and doesn’t include jeans.

The 50% off was way better, oh well.

      • shannon

Yeah same here was really disappointed because the 50% off was way better than what they had today. Up to 90% off was very misleading.

  17. Shelby

It said I had already received a coupon but I hadn’t. Anyone else with this problem??

  18. RK

When I was at my store today…the cashier told me that stating tomorrow everything in the store is 30% off. She also said the clearance promotion was over tomorrow…who knows….they still have quite a bit left at the three stores by me. When my hubby found out I went to Old Navy again today, I promised I was done going there for at least a few weeks! Hmm…decisions decisions….

  19. Caitlin

I got about $500 worth of clothes for our family of three, including a shirt for my son for a whopping 47 cents! I got some pants for myself for $5 a pair and my husband got several shirts and some pants. It was a great deal, so if this is better than that, that would be AWESOME!

Also, don’t hold it against the people who work there for not knowing! I worked at the Gap several years ago and we didn’t know about upcoming promotions until the morning of, sometimes! Weird policy but whatever works, I guess!

  20. A

When it says can not be combined with other offers, does that mean we can’t use the coupons from their FB page?

    • momwhocares

Who knows – best bet is to expect not to combine with your coupon – but, still give it a shot, if they take it wohooo – if not, you still got a great deal and you didn’t expect it anyways. I mean, it does say not to combine…. it may also be up to the cashier – some follow th eguidelines others do not care – so YMMV or you may not be able to use at all. good luck

  21. Antoinette

OK, so is the $10 off $50 useable for your total after all sales that equals $50, or for the retail price of $50. KWIM?

    • Laury

It is after all discounts. Comes off the grand total.

  22. Lindsey

I just called my local Od Navy and they are opening at 10am. (So glad I called before I left!!!!) Also…the associate said it’s an extra 30% clearance…making some items 90%. I’m still going to go though!!

  23. LK

I called and it is just an extra 30% off of already clearance like you said… I was there last week for 40% off. They still have some good items…. lots are picked over but worth a trip for sure!

  24. Aysha

Last wekend it was 50% extra on clearance. Scored 12 lon sleeveshirts, fleece hoodies, sherpa hoodie, and sweat pants for 36$ in size small boys. It would have been an additional 25% off if I used an o.n card, but I didn’t have one.

  25. Heather

You can keep digging until you get the 10$ off of $50, and if you use a different browser you can print it again. So, if you find lots of really good deals, there you go. I suppose you’d probably have to do two transactions though.

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Why does it keep saying that I have already gotten a coupon when I haven’t? Anyone else having these problems? Thanks

  27. Anna

Well, I was a little peeved at this sale. I went in thinking 90%. It wasn’t. It was 30% off the red sticker price up to 90% off total. The deal was better last week at 40% off the red sticker price. 🙁

    • amy

I agree. What a waste of a trip. I just got back and am a little annoyed. I went 2 weeks ago when it was 40% off clearance and then I was there earlier this week and it was 50% off clearance. Why would they go backwards with it and make it only 30%? you would think they would want it all gone… I’m super annoyed. Packing up my daughter, getting her into the stroller and into the store, snowing, yeah, not too happy. I know it was my choice, but I would have loved a better deal! haha

      • shannon

I agree I was very disappointed to the up to 90% was very misleading.

  28. Kathleen

I trying to decide if it is worth it. Each time I go to Old Navy they are so picked over, especially in Toddlers, it is not even worth my time. Maybe if I have time tomorrow.

  29. Pam

I just got back from my store.. Many of the clearance items were newly lowered, Several of my items did have more than one clearance sticker on them. I had some items that were very close to 90% and some there were more in the 70% range. Overall though I did really well. I bought $379,50 worth of itmes for only $87,38 which overall was 77%. I did do a write up with pics on my blog if anyone would like to see some of the deals I found.

    https://www.pamspartyplanning.com/2/post/2011/01/update-on-old-navy-sale.html

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So I just got back from O.N. and it was an additional 30% off the ticket price. Sucks because YESTERDAY it was 40% off the lowest price. The red prices are the exact same as yesterday. I did find a couple of cute shirts I didn’t see before because there is a huge selection at my store.

  31. Dorraine

Don’t waste your time at Shawnee, OK store. 30% off lowest price and nothing is close to 90% off. But, have a nice day 🙂

  32. susan

I too was a little disappointed with this. I went in thinking “90% off” but the “up to” was the key there. NOTHING was actually 90% off at my store. I did much better a couple weeks ago. 🙁

  33. Jessica

Yall should go to Jcpenny’s they are having a Red Zone clearance this weekend. $1.97 to $2.97 for baby and kids clothes and men’s and women’s is $4.97! Thats pretty good! Just thought I would give yall heads up

    • Jessica

I went yesterday and got a skirt, top, shoes, and a sweater dress for $13.** something…i thought that was pretty good

    • amy

I went to Penney’s yesterday and didn’t find many good deals in baby stuff at all. There was a dress that I liked, and a nightgown but both were $4.97. Still not bad, but I wanted them to be cheaper. haha I did end up with 2 onesies for $1.97 each. I scanned the items just to make sure too as sometimes things are cheaper than is what is on the ticket. That was true for the onesies but not for the other 2 things I wanted.

    • lms1983

Thanks!! Maybe this is where I’ll be able to stock up for next year!!

  34. Freebies

So I went this morning, too- nothing close to 90% off (even after the 30%). I did pick up two pairs of pants for $9 each and a pea (?sp) coat for the hubby that was $33.

I was able to use my $10 off 50 for the purchase- so my total with tax was around $45.

    jen

  35. Geraldine

disappointed also, didn’t find anything close to 90% off, oh well, just need to keep on checking back

  36. Kristy

The FB message Old Navy posted is really deceiving. It’s 30% off at my local store, which is actually not as good as the 50% off they had last weekend.

  37. Jana

Don’t waste your time at the Outlet in Branson, MO! One shirt that would fit my son…wasn’t even marked down very much. blah!

  38. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was so annoyed to this morning with my Old Navy trip NOTHING and I mean NOTHING I found was 90% off. It was only take an extra 30% off clearance not worth the time I spent there. I did have the poor cashier scan a cart load of items(nothing 90%off) and walked away with one pair of dress pants for hubbby for $10.

Don’t waist your time on this sale!

  39. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Went there this morning the selection was small but EVERYTHING in the store was 30% off except jeans… I spent 55.65 and got 2 jackets for my daughter next year, a button down shirt for my fiance, a shirt for myself, a shirt and a thermos for my step son, i got my son 3 shirts, and my daughter a valentine’s outfit and another onesie… it was awesome.. super stoked!!!!!!!! i do have to say the boys clearance section sucked…

  40. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was really annoyed today. I got to the store right at 9 am, found out that the stupid store didn’t open until 9.30 am. After i waited they said that it’s not 90% off, but additional 30% off on everything in the store, so some of the things “maybe” 90%. I looked through literally EVERY single item, some even twice- it wasn’t that hard – they hardly had anything marked down. NOT ONE SINGLE thing added up to 90% off! Not one! And I was the first one in the store, so they couldn’t say that someone else already got the 90% off items. I was really frustrated with wasting my time there, and it sounds like dishonest advertising on ON’s part.

  41. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went this morning and got 4 womens shirts, 2 pair of toddler pants and 1 shirt for 18.00…I dont think thats too bad…..

  42. Adrianna

In Worcester, MA it is def. worth a trip! At least for the womens section! I wouldn’t say it’s 90% off per say, but there are a lot of tank tops (perfect for summer!) around $2.00 each BEFORE 30% off! Some are less, depending on colors, and other are more, with beading and designs. There were a lot of pea coats, different colored, for around $20-$30 before 30% off. There are also summer dresses, capris and dresses $10 and under BEFORE 30% off.

The kids section is still really high, especially since half of the stuff is xmas themed! T-shirts with santa on them were still 6.99!!

So it really depends how hard you look, and what you really want. EVERYTHING is not going to be 90% off, so don’t go in expecting everything to be $ .10

  43. lms1983

I went today also, I found a lot of stuff for myself about 20 shirts for 43 (After 10 dollar off coupon). Not bad I don’t think but yes all toddler and young boys stuff was completely picked over, that was the reason I was going. Oh well… sometimes its nice to spend a little on yourself. Don’t do it often. Hope everyone else can find some good deals.

  44. ella

Well in my store today (VA) not much in the woman’s section. Even with 90%off nothing less then $10 BUT 🙂 in the man’s section was a different story 🙂 I got 4 hoodie jackets, 5 short sleeve shirts, 1 long sleeve shirt, one fleece girl jacket and 4 long sleeve girls shirts . I had a $10/$50 coupon so after coupon I paid $45 not bad for Old Navy clothes.

  45. Angel

Beyond disappointed with ON!!! SOOOOO misleading on their ad. Went in this morning and it’s 30% off clearance, with a “savings UP TO 90%”…. Not ONE item ended up being close to 90% off of the original price!! NONE of the clearance items were even 50% off the original price, so there’s no way I could have even saved up to 80%…. I’m going to be posting disappointment in their ad on FB. Absolutely false advertising!

    • AmyH

I totally agree- had the same experience in the Seattle area. Borderline false advertising.

  46. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Old Navy in Evansville, IN had 30% off clearance and 30% off everything in the store today(excluding jeans-I think). The toddlers clearance section was very picked over especially since the cashier told me they had 50% off clearance last week…missed that one! darn!

  47. Brooke

Very disappointed that it was actually 30% off. My store had lots of stuff left, but I could have gotten it cheaper last week when they had 50% off clearance prices. I thought alot of stuff was still marked on the high side for clearance too, especially kids stuff.
