As most of you know, Walgreens released a corporate coupon policy a couple months ago… finally! You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink. (Thanks, Rose Knows Coupons!)

No Purex $3/1 in my RP paper 🙁 – and i bought 2 papers to do this deal. In fact I think there was only not even a handful of coupons in the really skinny RP and was for dogfood or something. Oh well . . . . sure wish RP and SS would hand out the same coupons to everyone . . . I don’t like their system. I always get cheated out of the best coupons and the ones I can actually use.

Do you have a few different papers in your area? The larger market papers usually get the high value coupons like this one. For example my Press-Enterprise does not get these high value coupons, but my LA times does. If you have another paper in your area see if the coupons are different one week. Also, you can always order from ebay 🙂

      • meganph

        Dallas didn’t get it

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No Q’s at all today. I assumed it was because President’s Day.

      • Lolo

the LA times in my area are not supplied well so they are hard to come by. They got the good Q’s this week, but my local paper did not. 🙁

  2. Hippiegirl

BTW – the coupon in the the booklet apparently is only valid on the Visine shown. I got it anyway because I still had the other 2 $1/1 and it printed a $2 off coupon, so I’ll just go back and do that deal again 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

yes, that was annoying because I really wanted the Visine for contacts 😉

Regarding the Dove deodorant deal…I had a first time weird experience. They are regularly priced at $2.99 at my Wags. I bought 4x, handed over my 4x $2.00/1 MFQ’s first THEN handed over the Wags In-Ad coupon to avoid beepage, but the in-Ad coupon only took off enough for 3x deodorants and it clearly states limit 4. The cashier didn’t understand the math and tried to tell me I had too many coupons which I know is not the case. In the end the manager didn’t understand it either so I decided to skip it and go to a store nearer to my house that is coupon friendly, but anyone know why the register only took off $1×3 for the in-ad coupon??

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Since they took the manufacture coupons first, it took $2.00 off for each. When they took the store coupon, it only took $3.00 because after that it would have gone into taking money off the tax. I had it work at two stores today but they did the store coupon first and then adjusted the coupon down to $1.99. The third store down the road said they are not able to adjust the coupon down. The problem you had was because they didn’t adjust the coupon down to $1.99 and the only other thing it could go against was the tax, and it won’t do that. Next time, ask if they will adjust the coupon down, then you should just pay tax on all four deodorants.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I had problems with the Dove deal too!

I sent an e-mail and got a call from the store manager this morning. He’ll honor the sale price AND accept the now expired coupon, and the problem manager is going to get a talking to. But, here’s the real issue, Walgreens (corporate/regional) does a very poor job of making their employees aware of basic store policy.

During the conversation I mentioned that all I wanted was for the cashier to follow store policy. The manager who called this morning said he was not aware of the “new policy”. I told him it was not new, and it had been around for at least a year. I mentioned that this was just one of many in a long line of unpleasant experiences at 1100 Elysian Fields.

The manager was great, personable, professional, and shared some of his woes in revamping that location. I have noticed that it’s better stocked/cleaner. It’s his third stint as head manager at the Walgreens from hell. Send some good vibes his way, he’s going to need it. Cross your fingers and hope that when I’m done, there’ll be at least one more coupon friendly Orleans parish Walgreens. And, yes, I’ll send another e-mail commending his resolution of my issue.

    • candace

mine were regularly 3.49 at my wags and I used 4 of the $2 off coupons first and when I handed over the wags coupon it took $6 off….which does make them $1.99 each! Hope the second store gets it worked out for you!!

  4. Leah

Just got home from Walgreens. The Listerine Zero had a $1.50 off now coupon attached to the bottle, so I got an even better deal than I would have with my $1 manufacturer coupon.
Today, I came home with 7 boxes of Kleenex, 1 dove deodorant, 1 degree deodorant, and 2 bottles of Listerine Zero for a total of $11, and then got a $2 register reward for buying 7 kleenex. I saved over $17!

  5. candace

So happy with my Wags trip today!! I got 4 dove deoderants, 3 hunts tomato sauces and 2 bags of skittles for 0.40 cents Total!! I did have $1 RR to use but other than that it was thanks to the free deoderants! 🙂 I keep my wags deals short cause I usually ALWAYS run into trouble using my coupons there!! No problem today tho!!

    • Leah

I don’t go overboard at walgreens either. I only buy stuff that I will use. I don’t like to waste my time trying to find stuff/clipping coupons for products that I don’t use, even if they are free.

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I asked my WAGS assoc when their Valentine’s items would go 75% off, and the assoc told me they aren’t going below 50% off. On the CVS board someone was told they would go 75% and then 90% this week. That is irritating that WAGS won’t… guess I’ll have to go to CVS instead 🙂

  7. Amber

Ugh still no infant coupon books in Tx 🙁 I still got the diaper deal because we need diapers but my P&G had a $2 off diapers and wipes so not only was I short $1 there but no $2 Wags coupon either 🙁 Doing the sad dance over here.
I spent way more than I usually do I got 7 Kleenex 1 Lysol no touch soap, 1 Gillette Razor, 3 Scrunchi (on clearance and recieved $2 RR on these) I pack Pampers and 1 wipe!
Spent $33.21 OOP with $13. in RR wish Wags was like CVS and let me use more RR at one time now I have all these and I couldnt roll them without have a filler which after tax is sometimes more than my RR I am trying to use!!! I also wish I had thought to do the Lysol soap and use that RR on my large order but I did it last woops 🙁
BTW I saved $26.49 with $13 in RR to use so $39.49 total savings!

    • meganph

i am so sorry! i live in the dallas area and we have a ton. i have been posting on here several times about mailing them to anyone who needs one! sorry you missed it while the deal was so good!

      • J

Meganph- do you have the code for the diaper coupon? My wags is really nice, thankfully, & all they need is the actual barcode number. Thank you VERY much!!!

      • cassiesoren

Do you have any more to mail out? I am in S.Texas and haven’t been able to find any. The cashier didn’t know what I was talking about either. Email me at
cassiesoren@gmail.com if you have any more to spare, thanks!

    • Jaime

Amber, if you email me your address I will mail you an infant wags coupon book for you! I live in Indiana and we have them here! Email: lovinmom2be@yahoo.com I would love to help out a fellow couponer save!!

  8. Amy

    Where do I get a P & G everyday booklet?

  9. Kari

Does anyone in Minnesota know if the Infant Care coupon books are available here? I looked in 3 stores so far and the clerks look at me as if I am NUTS! Any suggestions?

    • Rachael

I’m not sure if they are in your area, but all the cashiers looked at me the same way. I had to contact corporate to get answers, and the manager from the store emailed me telling me they were, “in the store.” I had to call to find out exactly where they were…turns out they were in the corner by a cash register in the pharmacy.

  10. Rachael

Does anyone know if you can stack the infant care coupons with a manufacturer? I went to WAGS to get some pampers and they told me I could not use the pampers coupon in the infant care booklet and a manufacturer coupon I had because they are both manufacturer. It makes no sense because I stack the IVC coupons with manufacturer all the time. I noticed the infant care and IVC read exactly the same. Has anyone had any success with using the infant care and manufacturer?

    • laurengish

yep. I would go to a diff. store if there is one near by. They usually need to scan the manufacturer first, then the wags.

  11. laurengish

Here is what I did with my diaper deal, after getting my Pampers I stacked my Register Rewards with the Huggies diaper/wipes coupon from the Infant Care Book. So you get a regular $7.99 large pack of wipes for $1.99.

  12. Janice

I tried to do the Vick’s nyquil deal this week where you but 5 ($25) and you get 10 RR/ It didn’t work and I talked to the manager and we couldn’t find it in the flyer. Is it still a good deal or what? Anyone have any info on that? Thanks

    • laura

I also had no luck getting the RR on this deal, and couldn’t find it advertised anywhere to help plead my case… 🙁

  13. Bernetta

    Hello Everyone,
I am in Texas and having a hard time finding a infant care book! Would love to have one but my walgreen’s lady said if I had the code she would give me the deal! Could someone post the code please?!! Here is my e-mail if you have a extra book you could mail! I will pay shipping through paypal! Bernetta.koons@gmail.com Thanks!!!

  14. Mandy

I just tried to purchase the buy one get one free Purex sheets and I was told I couldn’t use both coupons because of the bogo deal. Anyone else had this problem?? Should I try a different store?

    • lisa

I would try another store or bring their coupon policy with you. They tried to tell me that, but finally let it go through. I have never had a problem before, so I don’t know what changed.
