As most of you know, Walgreens released a corporate coupon policy a couple months ago… finally! You can view the policy here. Be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you shop in case any issues should arise. You can also now print Walgreens Instant Value Coupons online here. *NOTE: If you can find the monthly coupon booklet in-store, save your printer ink. (Thanks, Rose Knows Coupons!)

No Jimmy Deans coupons in today’s paper, i’m in maine, were these regional? Such a bummer!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I know we miss alot of the good coupons here in the wonderful state of Maine. I wish we would get some of the good ones like the target coupon in flyer never seen one. But we love Colin for all the good deals, My husband thinks I am obessed with this site LOL but the money I save is a wonderful thing now just to master the grocery store couponing.

      • Craig

Our paper had them but it was .75c. As always coupons and their value are regional.
Outside of that, had a great day at WGs. Look for Valentine stuff for filler items! My store had some real cheap items!! Yay.

        • kim

I didn’t get one either. 🙁 but my ad did have a half page ad for Jimmy Dean’s, just no q. I’m in Ohio.

          • Christine

where in ohio? I’m in Toledo, I’ve noticed a lot of qs that we miss out on too, finally started keeping track of the ones we get on a spreadsheet, so I’m not spending a ton of time looking for something that’s not there.

            • kim

I’m in Toledo too! it’s so frustrating when we don’t get the coupons. 🙁 I’ve thought about keeping a spreadsheet too, just haven’t taken the time to do it.

          • Christine

yeah, the spreadsheet can be kinda time consuming, but I’ve found it saves me a lot of time when I’m trying to figure out my deals. I swear I’d flip through the inserts 4 or 5 times thinking I just missed the q, then I’d be all disappointed 🙂 It’s also really good for the occasional clearance deal, although I always seem to miss those. If you’d like we could exchange emails and help each other out. I don’t always keep my spreadsheet completely up to date, but I’m usually only a week or so behind, so I can look things up for ya. My email is coupons4christy at yahoo.(dot)com.

      • marcia

Maine here too… just got home and didn’t get to look yet..bummer on the jimmy deans. Jane, my dh and kids all think i’m obsessed..of course when i come home with something they love (times 10 lol) they are happy! they’ve started asking me to “watch your coupon site for ____ ” lol

        Thanks Collin!!!!!

    • magellan_02

We had a .75/1 off coupon for the Jimmy Dean in the news paper on Sunday. I went to Redplum online this morning and snagged a $1.00/1 off. WOOHOO!

  2. Sarah Marturano

I was hoping for the $1.50 pediacare catalina when I bought mine but I wasn’t lucky enough to get it. I think it spit out a $1 Advil coupon instead 🙁 Wanted to keep rolling this but oh well!

  3. CarrieD

Went to my Wags around 7:45am and they opened up at 7am. I was able to get everything i wanted and the best part was my boys were at home with dad 🙂 I had no issues using both the wags and the mfg Q for the PediaCare products. My store had TONS of them so I ended up getting 6. I did two at a time in different trans. I did not have beeping issues (Sorry for those who were not able to use both and get them for ‘free’ of close to it)

i also tried this Scenario but I only got the $3 RR:
    Buy 1 Schick Xtreme 3, 4 pk $5.99
Buy 1 Banana Boat Sport Performance Spray Sunscreen $10.99
    Total = $16.98
Use the $5/2 Schick & Banana Boat coupon found here
    Pay $11.98
Get back a $5 RR (wrong razor style) AND a $3 RR

Oh and my store did not have the Always products out for the RR. However, when i asked the asst mgr about it he said they are doing a change and all the new products are not out yet. I asked if they were in the back in those cute little bins they have. He said probably and he would go look for me. He came back with two. I have learned that generally if you do not ask them to go look for you in the back they will not offer. If they say they will be out at another time in the week odds are they are in the back. It never hurts to ask.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Of course they had tons of stuff, they just opened. lol

  4. melissa

what zip code did you all find the pediacare coupon under?

  5. Dianne

I cannot tell you how helpful your positng was on the coupon policy at Walgreens. I am a two-week newbie to this process! I went to Walgreens this morning with my never been used RRs and the very young manager told me I could not use two RRs in one transaction. I actually pulled out the printed policy to show him that I had the correct amount of items so all the RRs should be accepted. as a newbie I was shaking in my shoes, but I left there feeling proud and relieved that I had not spent a penny out of my wallet.

Thank you for the help – it is greatly appreciated!

    • debra

Way to goooo! Good for you! It’s a great feeling isn’t it? Keep it up! Collin will have you hooked fast!

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Can’t find the $3/2 PediCare coupons on the site….I have looked 10 times…any suggestions??

  7. Danielle

I think the pediacare coupons must be gone. I can’t find them… I was really wanting to score this deal since I have a sick baby girl 🙁

  8. Kortney

Will the Pampers coupons in the 2/27 PG work for Easy-Ups training pants too?

  9. CoffeeB

In todays paper there were $1.00 off Wonka Exceptionals. (sorry, can’t remember if it was SS or RP). My walgreens in s.w. lower michigan has the dark chocolate ones on clearance for $2.39. So..only $1.39 per bag. Great deal on really good chocolate!!!

  10. Krista

I’m done with Walgreens. It’s preposterous that they treat RR as manufacturer coupons when CVS and RiteAid treat them like cash. If you can’t use RR with other coupons, then what is the point of having them to pay full price for something (for those of us who like spend the least oop)? They also seem to have sales unadvertised on the shelves so I have had to check to confirm in the flyer so many times and hope the sale price is right when I get up to the cashier. Finally they often don’t have items in stock that are on sale for these great deals posted here. RiteAid and CVS are so coupon and rewards friendly and they always have things in stock and priced correctly. Walgreens has lost a customer permanently here. Just had to vent!

    • nikki

I have to agree with you Krista, my Walgreens NEVER have the good deals that are advertised, such as the Motrin PM last week, I went every other day all week and they never had them, and I asked the asst. mgr if I could get a rain check, well he just initialed the ad, he said “we’ll figure something out to make it come out to $0.00) well hello, i’d like my RR they offer with that I got coupons to bring it down to $0.00, just frustrated with my walgreens!

    • Debbie

I hate this too. I am new to couponing and used a manufacturing coupons for the Always Pads today. I did not get the $2 RR

  11. Holly

I can’t seem to find the Pediacare coupon. What zip code should I use?

  12. Melissa

I was also looking for the PEDICARE coupon tonight and couldn’t find it! I tried my own zip code and also 64123 as well as 90210. I’d love to print it if any one as any luck please let me know!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      These coupons are gone.

    • Lindsay

I just printed them from 32937 and I went through swagbucks!

  13. milly

anyone else tried variations of the shick/banana boat deal and it actually working?

  14. Sarah

I went today and got tons of stuff for very little out of pocket!! I bought Huggies diapers last week so I had $20 in RR to spend. I got 31 items for $5.47 OOP (after manufactor’s coupons, in-ad coupons, and RRs) AND I still have $10 in RR to spend!!! I was pretty pumped when I got home!! (No worries people, I didn’t wipe out any shelves. My store is always pretty well stocked.) I also got 3 more $1.50 coupons for the Pedicare so I will probably be making another trip to get more for FREE!!!

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

looks like a slow week at Wags…. gives me a bit of a break I guess… whew.
Also wonka bars are on clearance at my stores for $.75 so free after today’s Q.

  16. Gracie

Anyone have any luck with the Banana Boat/ Schick combo?

If I do the Pampers deal, do I need a filler? There are two MQ’s and one Walgreens Infant Care Book Q for two items being purchased. I always thought that the Walgreens Q needed to attach to an item as well, but I recently read somewhere that these Q’s don’t count towards your item total. Has this changed recently? It’s been awhile since I have been couponing at WAGS. Thanks!

  18. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Are there any coupons out there for softsoap?

  19. magellan_02

For those of you that couldn’t get the $5/1….
You can find a $3 off one Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner Starter Kit at coupons.com.

Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner Starter Kit $14.99
    Use the $3/1 coupon coupons.com
Plus, stack with the $5/1 Walgreens coupon found in the March coupon booklet
    Final cost $6.99!

  20. Jana

I didn’t get any Jimmy dean coupons either in the KC area. 🙁

    • Britta

These coupons were $0.75/1 in my paper in Iowa, but I won’t be using them if you’d like them.

    • Megan

Try redplum.com. They had them this morning.

  21. Michele

WOW everytime I try to print things for Scrubbing bubbles I go through the process and it tells me to print my coupons and then it goes to a screen to say there are no prints for this campaign. I feel like it is a gimick of some kind – I hate that.

  22. Michele

On the Scrubbing Bubbles Shower cleaner I can’t say that it CLEANS the shower but I can’t live without one. It makes my job of cleaning the shower so much easier. Just hit the button once a day and I notice how much easier my job is when I clean the shower by hand and I can go longer between cleanings depending on how dirty my kids are when they shower. I love this item – I think it is very useful and works well to help keep grime down. It doens’t replace cleaning by hand but it certainly cuts down on grime and especially the soap scum that builds up on shower doors! 🙂

I must echo the sentiments of being done with Walgreens. Why offer/take coupons & have a policy if 1- your store employees & managers do not know how or when to accept them 2- you rarely have more than 4 of any one advertised item on the shelf the day the sale begins. Tried to get the Pedicare deal (only 4 products on shelf, Sunday @10am) & employee & manager would not adjust coupon down = me wasting time & gas to give them business & no free product which was much needed for a sick little one. Sad day! Oh, well today is a new day & off to find some good deals & work the Walgreens coupon at Walmart thanks to their new coupon policy, yea!

Just got back from Walgreens and the Deal Scenario #1 on Swiffer and Febreze did not work.
I figure out that what went wrong, the Swiffer cost 3.74 each and not 4.49, so the total for all items was 9.98 and not $10. Because of that, No Catalina coupon.
Well, I got the items anyway but just wanted to share!

    Deal Scenario #1:
Buy 2 Swiffer Sweeper Wet Mopping Refills with Febreze (12 ct) on sale for $4.49 each = $8.98
Buy 1 Febreze Air Effect $2.50
    Total = $11.48
Use the buy one get one free Swiffer coupon (will deduct $4.49)
And use the $0.50/1 Swiffer refill coupon found in the 2/27 PG or P&G Everyday Savings Book
Plus, use the $1/1 Febreze coupon found in the 2/27 PG
    Pay $5.49
    Get back a $3 RR
Final cost ONLY $2.49 total for all 3 items

  25. Debbie

    I had a good & bad experience today @ Walgreens –
The bad was that I did not get my $2 RR for the Always minipads. The Cashier told me that I had the wrong item. I pointed out the ad in the paper, but this did not help.

The good was that I purchased Vick’s Dayquil and was able to use the $4 coupons for any Vick’s sinus, and since I purchased a vick’s product, I was able to use a coupon for free Puff’s kleenex. So, I got a box of Vick’s dayquil and box of kleenex for $.99 + tax (I bought 4 of each) Yeah!!!

    • Brandy

you should e-mail catalina about not getting your register reward. It is fast and easy just have your receipt handy. They will send your catalina RR by mail. These sometimes are better deals because they have really long expiration dates!

  26. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hey my fellow coupon bitchez. I snagged a copy of Walgreens ad next week from outside their store when it wasn’t open. Apparently the newspaper agency leaves them there for them when they drop off the papers in the morning.

Good News, Walgreens diapers are on sales again buy 1 get 1 free next week 3/13/2011. Plus they have the $2 off coupon for them which makes it nearly $4total for two packs of diapers. Not to mention the diapers are actually pretty decent. The managers at my local store always suggest going on Sundays when the ad breaks if you want to be able to get the items. I know some of you dont shop on Sunday but your missing out on deals. My store also does not give rain checks on the diaper deal here in Utah.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Last time my store in Orem ran out by Monday at 10am. I talked to the manager about how they ordered for it the next week and he said they had a couple hundred diapers on hand, but people came in all day Sunday and Early Monday like it was black Friday for diapers. He said they can only get what their warehouse sends even if they order 100 cases they only get 25 because the warehouse is not always stocked like it should be from corporate. Ill be there bright and early Sunday morning at my Walgreens on 800 North. If this information is true.

In case you didn’t know, you can see weekly flyer previews (sometimes up to three weeks ahead) on iheartwags.com and slickdeals.

  27. Cilla

Does anyone know if the Coke zero coupon (from the $15 RR) will work with other Coke products along with the C Zero? thanks

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

There’s $5 coupon for Alli weight loss in walgreens diabetic magazine, located by the pharmacy waiting area.

  29. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Walgreens Swiffer products on sale for $3.74 from 2/27 buy one get on free refills used 2 coupons so i got 4 @ $7.48 u get $3 in RR like paying 4.48 makes them $1.12 each from $4.99 each a $20 value for $7.48 and RR $3

  30. Donna

Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone can answer a question for me. I tried to do the Ester C deal today. It’s B1G1 free. I tried to use two of the $3/1 coupons and they only allowed me to use 1 since 1 is free. Is that right? Has anyone else ran into that problem?

  31. Dawnbi

I thought I saw that one of the stores had some kind of good deal on Thermacare, but I can’t remember which one and I cannot find it. I am starting to think that I imagined it. Does any have any info? Thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Rite Aid

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

with coupon for it you save 3.99 and it will be free! But make sure you grab correct size!

  32. Dawnbi

I have a question about the Pediacare deal. If I purchase 4 Pediacare at $5.99, use the $5 WG Q for each and a $2/1 MQ, would that make them free PLUS $4 overage? Does Walgreens allow overage? Thanks!

    • Miriam

The overage will apply to your other items. They won’t give youcash back like Walmart’s policy and it’s best I they don’t notice the overage because they’ll probably say they can’t adjust the coupon down (not true). So get something to pick up the overage and give the manufacturer coupons before the in-ad coupons.

  33. Paulina

On my last shopping trip to Walgreens a $5 off any Pediacare catalina coupon printed for me… So.. can I combine this with the in ad coupon for a great money maker?

  34. lauren

Tide is not inlcuded ih the 3 RR deal

  35. Amanda

Hi Collin. Where can I find info stating the monthly RR deal going on… buy $15 in Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic, Schick or Skintimate Products and get back a $5 RR? The GM at my store was very nice, but we looked everywhere and couldn’t find any advertisement or signage on this deal! Thanks!

  36. Rachel K

Swiffer refills are on sale for 3.74 at my Walgreens. Bought 2 plus 70 count Bounce Fabric softener (3.99) for a total of $11.47. Used BOGO coupon (-3.74) PG Bounce coupon (-0.50) PG Swiffer Coupon (-0.50) and got $3 in RR bringing my total for all for $3.73!!!

  37. Michelle

Walgreens newbie here. Headed out to test the water tomorrow, I hope all goes well. It is 55 miles away but I am going to be near there anyways. Cross your fingers!

  38. Kelsey

Just got back from Wags. The Banana Boat/Schick deal works (in Indiana), but the trick to getting all $8RR is to buy at least $15 in Banana Boat. So, I used 2 of the $5/both BB and Schick coupons. In addition, I found 2 Schick coupons in the 2/13 SS that they also let me use! In the end, I paid 2.99/item, pretty good for sunscreen and razors!

  39. Alexis

I swore off of Wags a couple of months ago because they ALWAYS gave me trouble with coupons. Thought I’d give them a try now that they have a new policy. Wow. Mistake. I really should have taken the policy with me. Before I go back with my printed policy to try this again, can someone confirm that I’m reading the policy correctly?

“In the event that any item’s selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.”

They means they can price modify a coupon, right? They refused to accept a $1 coupon for a 99cent item or a $1 coupon for a 70 cent item. Isn’t this what their policy says they can do??

    Thanks 🙂

    • nika

i argued with those fools about this today. the cashier told me i could not use the pedicare $5/2 mq because it would bring total to less than zero. told her she was wrong. she continued to fuss with me about almost every coupon i had. when she saw i was not backing down she called the manager. i then pulled out the store policy and underlined that statement with both of them present. the cashier still insisted i could not do that while the manager she he “guessed” they could adjust down the mq. so i told him “adjust” down the store q. finally he told the cashier to adjust the mq. she was pissed, lol.
then she started arguing with me about the broadway nails. it says any but she was saying, but it doesnt match the picture. i told her what part of any does she not understand. she called manager and cosmetics counter cashier over…cosmetics lady told her to just scan the q. of course when i got home and reviewed my receipt, she had robbed me of a $3 q! she scanned it, which i saw her do and she hit the button which i thought she was pushing it though but she actually voided it. what a B! i had problems with her before but i never let her get away with it. when i go in there, she stares at all my qs for about 30 seconds each.
just point out exactly what you want them to see. and this picture matching BS is ridiculous.
oh, and to top it off, after the pedicare drama, she then makes up this rule that my product has to match value of the register reward. so i asked her when did that start? all you require is the same amount of products for mqs, so please scan the q…
