Do you get it at the store or in the paper? Sorry, I’m new to the whole couponing thing!

    • Diana

It’s sold out. That’s a really great deal, wish I could’ve gotten in on it.

  2. Laine

So where do we find this? In-store?

    • Collin

Yes, you should be able to find them in-store. Although, there may be some locations that don’t have the coupon booklet available yet or haven’t put them out.

      • Laine

Thanks! Now I have a quest for the weekend!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Our store takes all the Q’s out and give them to those that are buying the products. If you don’t see them you might want to ask if they have a Q at the cosmetsics counter.

        Edited: Those darn typos 🙂

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I found it last night at the makeup counter!

So I wonder if I could use these at Walmart now? They do say manufacture???

Collin, could you do a post where you ask Walgreens shoppers what they use as filler items? I’ve been scared to set foot in Walgreens after a very bad shopping trip where I spent way more than I intended because of their ridiculous coupon policy about one coupon per item purchased. I’m about to move where Walgreens is more convenient and I’d like to work up the courage to shop there again. Knowing cheap filler items would make it much easier!

I’ve heard rumers that some stores have $0.10 candy near the registers, but not mine! I usually look for clearance items, or buy their deal of the week, which is usually around $0.50. If it’s near a holiday, sometimes they have holiday themed cups or pencils 8 or 12 for a dollar – and you don’t have to get a dollar’s worth to get that price. Or I ask a friendly salesperson what the cheapest thing in the store is right now. Fillers are very frustrating to me, because I like to have my trip all planned out but I don’t always know what I’ll be able to find for fillers. One week I needed 13 fillers total – I was very stressed that I wouldn’t be able to find cheap enough fillers to make it worhwhile!

I just found the silly bands at my store in NC 10/$1.00 so this is a wonderful filler item.

    • Jen

A lot of time the instant jello are 5/$1.00. I also use it as an opportunity to buy something I need that doesn’t have a coupon; milk, laundry soap, etc.

    • Amy

      Angela,

My go to filler items are jello or Hunt’s tomatoes. When they’re on sale, Royal jello is 5 for $1 and Hunt’s tomato paste is 3 for $1. Sometimes office supplies will be on sale for a good price. When there is absolutely nothing I want other than my coupon related items, I’ll get an item and return it on another trip. It’s a hassle, but I don’t want to spend money on gum and candy I don’t need!

      Good luck!

your welcome at walgreens anytime you have to have even amount of product as coupons fillers can be anything .

Hey everyone, I am hoping someone would answer this for me. Some time ago I sign up for the free 6 months suscription to the Wall Street Journal hoping to get coupon inserts but there’s nothing in there. Does anyone get coupons inserts in their WSJ?
On other note i also haven’t received my Organize booklet(the one that’s go the $1 dawn hand renewal) I sign my sisters up for it and they received theirs about two weeks ago. What can i do? any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

    • Laura

I signed up as well after someone posted that they got coupon inserts in theirs, but I don’t get any either!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

As far as I know the WSJ doesnot have coupons I work for a newspaper in Maine and distribute the WSJ and I have never seen coupons.

    • charity

I also signed up and never received any coupon inserts in mine in FL. Well I just moved and somehow I am getting the WSJ in MO now (from the previous owner signing up) and I actually get the coupon insert about twice a month. Not much but better than nothing.

    • Camille

I just got my coupon booklet in the mail yesterday. I’m in the Los Angeles area. Hope that helps! I’ve never heard of coupons in WSJ. I’d get the paper from your largest nearby city. Mine is LA Times. The other local papers, although they do have coupons, do not have as many coupons as the big city paper.

  8. heather

Cheap fillers can be anything from holiday pencils (usually 0.19), sale candy (0.39 to 0.49), or they run royal jello on sale a lot for 0.20. Fillers are the cheap fun part of the purchases for me. Try, try again.

    • Miriam

Checking the ad is also good for fillers. This week was hydrogen peroxide and last week Hunt’s tomato sauce. Both .33 limit 3 but no one will say anything if you buy a couple more and the price is still the same.

  9. Janis

I happened to come across this booklet today. The BA then told me that there was a special 40% off all Maybelline except eye products today only. The “Fit Me” blush was down to $3.29 (reg. $5.49). Using some $3/2 coupons from the 2/6 RP, along with the $1 Wags coupon in this book, I was able to get the blush for $.29 each.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks!!!

  10. candie

If any one has the codes by item and would post, that would be great. I think my store would take the codes if i had them. Thanks,

  11. Kelli

I guess this is probably a silly question but I am new to couponing so here goes…..why would you need fillers?

    • Kim

Sometimes the value of your total coupons, is more than the total cost of the items… so you might need to pick up a filler so that you don’t loose that total discount value. I hope that makes sense….

    • mee

because if your coupons take more off than the product cost it won’t go thru so if you have fillers it absorbs the negative amount.cause lets face it stores are not going to give you real cash back but register rewards are just as good as money.

    • Danielle

The reason you need fillers at Wallgreens is because they state that the amount of manf. coupons can’t be more than the amount of products. And Register Rewards count as a manf. coupon.

  12. Courtney

Yes, Please post the codes!!! Thank you!

    • Rachael

The Walgreens Spring Beauty Book does NOT list have the codes printed on the coupons like the IVC promotions usually do. I don’t know why, but this time they chose not to print them. In order to use the IVC, you would have to locate a book.

      • Heather

What do you mean? Can you not read the UPC code? If you can give me the code, I know which numbers they’ll need.

        • Rachael

I have worked at Walgreens for over 7 years now. Again, there are NO numberical codes written on the coupons in the Beauty Book. The coupons are just a bar code. In order to use the coupons, you MUST obtain a copy of the book yourself.

Where on earth can I find this Spring Beauty Guide? I’ve looked all over my local Walgreens, and I’m thinking I’m not looking in the right spots.

WHERE ARE YOU ALL GETTING THESE COUPON BOOKS???I EVEN ASKED THE CASHIER FOR ONE. SHE SAID THEY DIDNT OFFER ANYTHING LIKE THOSE…CRAZY!!! SAME THING WITH CVS COUPON BOOKS….HELP!!!

  15. CIndy

I notice that some some post have for example “you’ll find this coupon on the 3/6 SS” how exactly do you get these coupons, or is it assumed that we still have them saved since those dates. Im new So i would appreciate some Help

    • okmotherof2

They’re assuming that you do have them saved.

Will someone please give me the code for the Almay cosmetics?? I can NEVER find these books at my Wags, but they’ll let me tell them the code and use it that way. Thanks!!!

    • Rachael

I’m sorry, but it is impossible to get you the codes in this case, because there are none to give. You have to obtain a copy of the Beauty Book yourself. The coupons are only a bar code this time. They don’t have any numerical codes on them.

I found this book at my local Walgreens tonight. It was hidden under a pile of other flyers right next to the cosmetics register.

My local Walgreens didn’t have any Beauty Books when I checked at the Cosmetic counter yesterday. Should I keep checking back or do you think the stores only receive one shipment and don’t receive additional booklets?

Hello, I have a question about fillers. Last Saturday I purchased 3 boxes of Post cereal on sale for $1.99. I used a $2/3 coupon and paid the remaining balance with a $4RR from a previous purchase. The cashier said I needed to purchase something else so I grabbed a $.29 candy and she said that my filler must cost more than a dollar. Is this true?
